Story 1: it pains me that some people think affairs are a victimless crime and shouldn’t affect the kids. It does affect children and sometimes a lifetime.
Of course it affects kids. They learn the lesson that one of their parents is immoral, lying, cheater and doesn’t love their spouse. It teaches them that people can say they love you and swear vows to you but then hurt you deeply by breaking my breaking these vows. It teaches them that the (cheating) parent does not respect their spouse. It breaks up a sense of stability and fairness in the world and in the home.
" I'm not wrong for doing this horrible thing that seriously affected you and you're mom, you're wrong for not just letting it go and giving me everything I want without me even apologizing". The audacity of some people is wild.
The first OP’s father has some nerve to even ask his ex to take in his and his mistress’s half dozen brats for any length of time. Wow. Also, the people who expect others to “just get over it” are often the same ones that explode over and hold long-standing grudges over tiny slights against them.
I am floored at the reptile story. I'm a reptile owner with snakes, tegus, and geckos and I'm stunned at how blatantly ignorant that girl was. A boa constrictor can do major damage to an adult depending on size and temperament. I even own the specific snake she owns and while mine is only an adolescent, I know she is going to be huge, heavy, and can do some pretty major damage if they bite. I've worked hard to make sure she is trained to be tolerant but I'd still never let such a small child be anywhere near it because of how fast something can happen. Irresponsible and a terrible person. Careless
Red tailed boas are lovely but cantankerous, not a reptile for beginners. Especially forgetful people. I feel sorey for the reptile and the poor girl who got bitten.
I’m (48,f) scared of snakes to this day because my aunt (59,f) had a boa constrictor as a pet that was always getting loose and seeking me out when I was five. I spent the night at her house and was woken up by being hugged only to realize her snake had gotten out and was wrapped around me. She only got rid of the snake after it got in the drain ( she lived in an apartment building) and ate the neighbors cat and was evicted because of it
There are more than a few stories out there, from reputable news agencies, of pet constrictors getting out and killing small children. OP was definitely not over reacting.
The parents are the worst. They knew the history of neglect, and didn't bother checking for themselves that the enclosure was secure. They need their child removed.
Story 1. I know all to well what having 2 people turn on you is all about. The hurt is just awful. It's been 36 years since the betrayal and subsequent divorce. Some hurts are just to darned deep to get over so easy.
You don't need to get over anything. Scars exist to remind us of past painful experiences. You can't trust those people ever again and it would be toxic to keep them in your life. All anyone should expect of another is, they don't allow the back stabbers to control their life. Bad people don't deserve forgiveness from a victim. It shouldn't be " I forgive you for all that you've done to me" but " I forget you because of all that you've done to me". For some reason bad people hate being ignored/consequences. You keep living your life!!
I feel for you deeply. It’s only been five years since my exwife left me for my best friend after fooling around behind my back. It’s a hurt that runs so deep.
@@Alisha21210 Yep, you stop to hate, but you never forget. And that means the perpetrators of a betrayal are cut off. In order to move on, I leave the trash behind. Ne return and no looking back - ever!
Story 1: NTA. The NERVE of your Dad. He reveals the affair at your Birthday party and after a tuff pregnancy on your Moms part, then asks for your Mom to take in 6 KIDS that are in fact not hers but her Ex’s and his affair partners, and has the audacity to say “Don’t pick sides” and “Get over it”? I’d tell him “I did picked my Mom so he needs to get over it”.
Dad sounds like he might have a delusional disorder since his perception of reality is so far off. 😂😂😂 He certainly has a personality disorder to be so brazen and not feel shame.
Lol, dad is mad when he can't attend a graduation party after delaying the same kids birthday party with a lie about someone's death... On the bright side, he should be able to get over it within the next ten years.
The red tail boa could have killed the child if it wrapped itself around her neck or her arm or her leg and cut of circulation/strangulation. The fact that the "friend" constantly didn't lock the snake up properly makes me wonder if the snake owner unconsciously WANTED to get rid of the little girl. Constricting snakes are not safe around toddlers or untrained children.
Who's to say it was unconsciously? If I get rid of the kid ii can just say I'm so sorry this happened I'm so forgetful I didn't mean for this to happen. But now me and my snake can stay without having to worry about their damn kid and snakey can be ruler of the house.
I’ll never understand why families always live in a delusional were taken in for a step family into your life and automatically think it’s family while trying to cut the other person out. The father lost a lot of brain cells with his affair in the first story. If he thinks he got hurt and betrayed someone and everything will be cool. Oh and there’s nothing wrong with single parents being single by choice
If it was my kid the snake bit, I'd have told the friend I was turning the damn thing into snakeskin boots with a matching belt. Frankly, those friends who are okay when her allowing a snake to harm a toddler can feel free to take both the reptiles in.
Story 1 My Shoulder Angel: Rise above and let them be. My Shoulder Devil: Send him a Father's Day card that reads "6 out of 7 kids think you're the greatest!"
As a snake owner that story with the boa is terrifying. Especially a red tailed boa, they need to be handled a certain way and can easily become aggressive..and they get big. Imagine if they had another pet like a cat or small dog…it’ll be a snack. My snake tank has 3 locks on it that are secured when he’s in it!
I bet you check the snake is actually in the tank before you lock it. The story is so negligent it’s hard to believe it was an accident. I’d want the parents to come and check the snake and tank before locking it, and have them agree it was locked properly before going anywhere. Just in case!!
I'm guessing OP and her friend are US or similar; you need a license to keep a pet like that in Australia and if an owner was that negligent here, being out on the street wouldn't be her only concern.
I think it’s funny that people say: “It’s been 10 years, get over it”, when they clearly have had 10 years as well. 10 years to redeem themselves, work on themselves, change, as for forgiveness, be a better person, but they never did any of that. “It’s been 10 years”, should be said to themselves.
So not only are they morally bankrupt but they are also stupid and irresponsible enough to make more children than they can afford to raised. What is wrong with these two POS humans?!
Let me guess. The lady takes her snake to live with one of those complaining friends. She lets the snake get out, and it eats Fluffy. Shock! Dismay! Yeah, good riddance. To change a popular meme, keep the PS5, dump the man. What a lunatic!
Story 2: NTA. You know what, I’m going to say if someone’s pet snake attacks your child your allowed to be a little pissed off. I’m sure her snake will keep her warm on the streets.
Story 1: Kudos to the mum for setting the boundaries of not having anything to do with her ex and affair partner while respecting her child having contact with them.
While I wish the best for his ooor children who have a crap dad and mol raising them (I mean neither f their parents has an ounces of morality or decency so we can only hope they have decent humans in their lives to serve as role models) I kinda hope he experiences the kind of pain he has inflicted on OP and mom and someone says the same thing to him. He lacks empathy. He lacks insight. He is so incredibly self centered and narcissistic that he thinks the world revolved a round him.
Think she figured to save about 6 months worth of rats/rabbits in feeding with a toddler? The snake could have killed the child, easily, but human shoulders and pelvises are way too wide to be swallowed. There's a 3x skull diameter stretch limit. I think it was a kind of dominance display over OP and his wife; to demonstrate to them that they were powerless in their own home, and that she had the final say. That in effect, she was taking control and taking over; it's sad how effective that kind of psychological maneuver can be.
1st story. OP's dad expects OP to "get over it" . When it was not just a disgusting situation, an affair. He also sprung on you and your mom on your birthday. Yeah thanks for the great birthday gift dad. Let me just get over it. I'll just lie down like a doormat and let you keep scraping your mud onto me. I would tell him, even if he were the one paying for your celebration. He and his family still would NOT be invited. They are Not wanted. And he should just get over it.
Really? OP shouldn't thank the dad for pointing out anger has a statute of limitations? "Only a decade to be annoyed that you fucked Mom's friend while Mom was fighting for her life, knocked her up, then skipped part of my birthday to go be with her at an ultrasound then come home and ruin it further by confessing it all and leaving? Thank god you told me Dad, I was thinking I had 15 years. How embarrassing that would have been!"
Story 2: I know people can be idiots but I do feel like the wife’s friends have had two little details hidden from them that could change the entire story those being: She had the only key to lock the snake in the enclosure. And the snake bit their daughter
I adore animals, am planning on going into animal studies, have always protected bugs from getting squashed, etc. I'd have an exceptionally hard time if an animal did that to even any hypothetical child of mine.
Sorry, but snakes are not pets. They are wild animals. And little kids and small pets are especially at risk. I'm guessing this is a boa. What if it got out and killed the baby while she was napping or something. NTA.
I'm a gamer and I definitely don't react like that to losing. If I lose, I take a break, relax, then try again, not destroy stuff. There may be a few curse words, but I live alone, so in not upsetting anyone
Do not go. If your son is willing to marry someone who does not want to acknowledge your husband and your son is not willing to defend you (his dad) on this then he is supporting this woman's homophobic attitudes. He is basically slapping you in the face. Tell your son that you love him but you can not accept this disrespect from him. Tell him that when he is ready to apologize and stop disrespecting you that you will be there for him. Also, remind him that you are not young or immortal so do not waste too much time otherwise he may end up with some serious regrets.
It's simple. OP's son wants his fiancee's presence in his future life more than he wants OP or his husband. It's just that simple. She's in, you're out.
@@zerotodona1495 I really like what Morgan Freeman had to say about homophobia: I Hate the Word Homophobia. It's not a Phobia. You're not Scared. You're an A$$hole.
"no right to sell it" she bought it with her money. She has every right to take away something that is causing harm. The husband is also insane and should be kicked out.
It bothers me the son is not willing to stand up for his father and his father's husband. If I were op's father, I tell the son I love him and I wish him a happy life. He'll always be welcome in our home, but I won't be attending that marriage if his wife cannot accept my husband, she can't accept me.
PS5 story: If the husband can't handle how messed up the games are lately, tell him to play other games that aren't as messed up, or play retro games that he's familiar with that don't trigger him so badly. If the husband breaks it, he has to pay for it out of his own earnings, not the shared finances since OP is the breadwinner. Just the gaming chair was $300, which is 2/3 the price of the system, and that was over just one session. Otherwise, the PS5 has to go away until he can control himself again (at least the games and Playstation Store subscription, the system itself can still be used as a Bluray player). There's a difference between being frustrated and throwing a tantrum.
13:13 if OP is the breadwinner why isn’t her husband doing more cleaning up at home? I also can’t believe that he hasn’t show anger control issues before this…
I think the more idle he got, the more unhinged. Remember he didn't play for awhile. I don't think it was games per say, its the putting everything into that one leisure thing instead of doing other things
I would have taken pictures of the damage and showed it to him every time he defended his behavior. It wouldn’t be long until hubby took his temper out on op by getting stuff thrown at them if not getting outright hit.
It’s not uncommon for selfish people to try and erase the other parent. It’s their inability to deal with reality. I’m proud of the child for speaking up. That takes a lot of courage and maturity. The child has now become the parent.
Story #2: NTA. The friend is a shit pet owner. Snakes are NEVER to be left out of their tank unsupervisioned - mainly for their sake, but in this case also for the sake of the toddler in the house. The snake should really be rehomed, to a better owner. Edit: the amount of people in the comments that think it's perfectly acceptable to kill a pet it's disturbing.
Fourth story: I love gaming. And like any gamer, I have my set of losses. OP's husband's attitude is an embarrassment to gamers everywhere. I'm pretty sure McJuggernuggets and Freakout Kid don't even react like this to gaming losses.
@@3bowwow22 yeah, my brother has adhd and would throw tantrums when he lost at games, but 1) he was like 8yrs 2) he didn't break anything, just screamed, stomped his feet, and maybe threw some papers on the floor.
I'm autistic and have ADHD and have a lot of trouble with frustration, particularly when losing in difficult video games. but you know what I do, when I start to get angry and frustrated and feel the urge to bite something or to throw the controller/keyboard through the screen? I turn the game off, and I walk away and do something calming for a while. because I'm an adult, and I've learned how to address my urge to lash out in a healthy manner.
A boa constrictor and a toddler? Are you freaking insane? YTA for entertaining such nonsense for a day. NTA for tossing her And get better friends. No just no! Skip the wedding! NTA YTA for marrying and staying with this man baby!
2nd story: she's lucky you didn't kill that snake. After the second warning, she would have received a certified, writen notice. The 3rd time the snake's door was left open would have resulted in an eviction.
@@patrikbengtsson3883 no they have razor sharp teeth in their mouth that can cause severe lacerations you never want to take any type of snake bite lightly esp constrictors because they have no venom and need those teeth to hold and eat their prey that being said most snakes wont bite unless stressed/harassed i don't want this comment to sound like their dangerous deadly beasts that will bite at every opportunity because their not most snakes are chill
@@patrikbengtsson3883 Also seeing as she was a toddler it's a good thing the snake wasn't bigger or it would have wrapped around the child. Did u know snails have teeth too, lots and lots of teeth👍
I think I'd go legit insane after a betrayal like in Story 1, and I'm polyamorous. Even just the idea of my partner looking for romance and fun while I'm very sick and almost dead would be too much.
Story 1: dad is completely delusional. It's easy for him to tell the ex to get over it. Him when he was getting on top of her friend. Reptile story: The friend is lucky the snake wasn't permanently deleted. It is not the snakes fall for doing what's in their nature but it is definitely the owners fault for not doing their due diligence and making sure her pet was secure. A child was literally horned due to her negligent She has to go. For the friends who had something to say, I would definitely be cutting them off being that they're more concerned for a snake than the safety of their child.
Story 2... if it had my child that was injured, she would come home to a boa skin purse! She had been warned and her careless behavior caused a child unnecessarily being hurt..
I really hate stepparents who try to replace the bioparent who's still actively in their child's life. You know the dad's ok with the status quo, and it's his wife who's pushing this "complete family" BS.
Sorry 3: OP is the A-hole. His son's bride doesn't agree with his lifestyle choices and doesn't want it on display at her wedding. She probably knows that some in her family will take issue with it. It is fine for her not to want to fight that fight on her wedding day. They tried to avoid hurting OP, but OP pushed it. That is the first thing that made OP the A-hole. Then when OP tried to derail the wedding because he didn't get his way, made him a major A-hole. He has to realize everyone isn't going to agree with homosexuality and accept that. Everything doesn't have to be a fight. I'm black and I realize that there are bigots out there who don't accept me. Fine. The only time I fight that fight is if they do something that affects my life. OP's partner not being invited sucks, but as the event wasn't about the two of them, this wasn't a good hill to die on. All he did was make a difficult situation more difficult. It is rare to find a family where everyone agrees on everything. OP is asking 2 families to agree on an issue that violates the faith of one of those families. He needs to stop.
Gamer Rage Story: So NTA! OP, collect everything and leave. His rage won't stop because you sold the PS5, it'll continue because he'll get mad at you for selling "his stuff". Stuff you bought with your money and pay to get replaced or repair. This dude needs to go back to his parents and get raised again because he needs a lesson on being destructive! And this comes from a person who used to put wholes in their wall, so dude needs to take like 50 chill pills.
Story 2. Pets are NOT to be killed for dumbass reasons like most commenter immediately suggested but ALL AND I MEAN ALL bets are off as soon as that pet attacks someone because God be damned if anyone thinks any animal who harmed my child isn't getting off with a kick or punch. BUT THAT BEING SAID I would still not kill the animal if it wasn't necessary to get them to back down. And I will not blame a pet for the absolute negligence of an owner
Some people just won’t accept that there are people in the world who won’t accept gay relationships. Yes it may not be inclusive but so what? Why does everyone in the world have to accept absolutely everything and everyone?
If I gift my wife an expensive bottle of tequila or whiskey, but then it turns out she can’t control herself with liquor in the house and rages and breaks things when she gets drunk, you better believe “but it was a gift so it’s mine” will ABSOLUTELY not stop me from getting rid of it. That dude had way too many chances with the PS5
Last story: NTA, they can bring up their version of reality constantly, but when OP tells them that's not how it is, they get mad? Yeah, these people are pushing OP further and further away
Gaming story: I think there's an actual term for this, because turns out some people have proper anger issues when playing games (not cause by the games, the problem lies with the person).
I’ve been gaming for a long time for over 40 years, when pong was king. As games got better AI over the years and playing against certain people that frustration very quickly came to the surface in me. By the time I was 33 I was doing very similar things and going along a destructive path. It was only working in gaming shop for awhile for some extra money while I finished my degree, I took it later in life, that I saw the reactions of other gamers and actually realised what I looked like. The affect it had on me almost overnight was amazing, somehow I was now able to just let it go and although I got frustrated it just never got to that point again, I have a bit of a curse to myself under my breathe and its as if its all gone away. Gamer rage is a medical condition and for most the best or only cure is not to play, I’m lucky!
Op you need to ask your son if you and your husband will be welcome in your future grandchild’s life or will DIL not want you in their lives either. It’s not all on DIL. Op’s son went along with it too.
As a snake owner, that story disgusted me. Snakes can be wonderful pets but you have to properly care for them and part of that is making sure they are secure in their enclosure. That woman is incredibly negligent and shouldn't be allowed to own pets after not only putting her snake in danger but a toddler on top of that! We also don't know the snake's feeding pattern. What if that snake had constricted around the child's neck?? She's lucky all that happened was a bite. The kid got hurt and that snake was probably terrified. She's absolutely the asshole. Take care of your pets or don't have pets. You don't get a middle ground, especially with reptiles.
@Shinukuro honestly! I've never forgotten to secure my girl's enclosure, nor the one my ex had (though when we got his new tank we had to rid bungie cords to it to keep him from getting out lol). If you can't trust yourself to close a front open enclosure properly, get a top opening one with a grate style lid and idfk keep some bricks on it or something??
It was definitely wrong to sell her husband's ps5. BUT, I'm willing to bet I know who's paying for the WiFi or the subscriptions for the game system. She could have just stopped paying for those. And I think it would have been more fun for her that way.
The gay dad created this life when he carelessly slept with a woman and brought a child into the world, and then chose to do his own thing as a homosexual. Not everybody believes in or accepts this way of life. There is no way you can normalize or make believe it's acceptable in the bride's eyes, and the son will have to accept that if he marries her. This is their wedding, and they choose whom to invite. We have a gay couple in our family, and while we do not participate in their activities as pride parades, gay bars, and politics, they in turn don't participate in our religious, political, and social activities, we do come together for family social activities, holidays, etc. and get along quite well. You see, we choose to.
Lots of people want to dump on the fiancee who doesn't want to deal with homosexuality controversy at his wedding, but people have a right to disagree with alternative lifestyles. There are many homosexual people in my life, but as I am not a part of that party I hold my peace on the subject. I don't agree with the lifestyle, but that doesn't stop me from loving them. I wouldn't go to a gay wedding and they wouldn't invite me. Everyone's views are respected. Dad's homosexuality is not the focus of that day, but it could become the focus if his son's in-laws disagree with that lifestyle in a vocal way. Fiancee is within her rights not to deal with their issues on the couple's wedding day. She stated as gently as possible.I can't agree with the name calling because she doesn't care to fight a fight that is not hers.
Give her the names of the friends that disagree with you putting her out and tell her that each and everyone of them has offered to house her and her snake. Job done.
Story1: The audacity of OP's bio dad to ask her ex to take his other children, geez! Where is your parents? I bet they disown you, and also they have the audacity to bring kids in a party and use his children for reasoning and geez they have the audacity to be part of celebration when they don't even contribute it. He just need to sleep in the bed he made.
last story. OP needs to get a lawyer and go to court so that he can decide if/when/for how long he'll visit his father. also make it LEGALLY clear that stepmom has no say in anything to do with OP, just his mom, and until 18, his dad.
I'm a snake owner, and I've left the vivarium open twice. Once when I first got the snake, and the other when the wedge fell out and the snake managed to nose the door open. (I had left the smallest gap I hadn't been aware of.) Thankfully the second time, I caught that I hadn't secured the door before the snake escaped, so I just shut and sealed it without any issues. But do you wanna know what I did and have done since then? I secure the vivarium and every time I close it, I make sure there isn't any gaps for the snake to nose his way out of. My snake has not escaped since. That woman is not a responsible pet owner, and even if you had re-homed her snake, I wouldn't have called you the idiot either. Both your child and the snake deserve better and she doesn't deserve such a beautiful animal.
I was just thinking this. The worst reaction I ever had was slapping my hand on the desk and muttering "This is bullshit..." ect. I couldn't imagine throwing stuff over losing, let alone constantly smashing up expensive things.
I would have throw all her crap out after I called animal control to pickup her snake. Then I would never speak to her again. My husband would have killed that snake though.
I have 10 pets and one of those is a snake. His cage stays closed bc we literally have rats and guinea pigs. He isn't a snake that can even eat rats, but he might still try. I'm just making sure the snake doesn't eat my other animals. I can't imagine if there was a toddler I'm my home.
I love my boa and as I’m a single adult I can’t really be harmed to bad by her but I’m still vigilant about sealing her enclosure. Her last owner wasn’t and they’re really good at hiding so he’d find her in places like the Christmas presents. His kids where fine but this is inappropriate and if she’d gotten outside this would have caused problems for her and the neighbours. Edit Even my most responsible snake owning relatives gave up there boas when she had toddlers because it is known that snakes do inevitably escape. Those toddlers are now adults who love their pets.
The first time that the snake came out of the enclosure, due to the roommate’s negligence, I would have told her to take her snake and get out of my home!😠
A scenario with the snake that I see is that the toddler saw it out of its enclosure and got too close. The snake became irritated and acted out as animal that felt under threat. But the snake does need to be rehomed to someone who actually gives a damn. Just in case someone says the constrictor was going to eat the child - constrictors kill their prey by suffocation first. Since the animal didn't seem to be wrapping itself around the kid, it is likely it acted out of defense.
@@velvety2006 Kind of hard to mistake an actual snake for a toy. There's the whole moving thing. That doesn't mean she didn't see it as a toy, more like a living toy.

The friend is obviously a MAJOR a-hole, but knowing the history of the snake getting lose, why didn't the OP and her wife check, double check and TRIPLE check before leaving their toddler unattended in the living room. Or even when the friend left, they should have checked right then and there. Is the e closure REALLY closed and locked? It can't be that complicated to see. And even if it is - why risk it? If you can't properly see it you take your own safety measures. Like tying a rope around, or use duct tape or whatever. Why did they trust their friend to that point after the friend repeatedly had shown them she wasn't to be trusted???? Sorry, but that's negligence from the OP and her wife's part
I've been a gamer since I won an Atari 2600 in a McDonald's scratch off game (Asteroids) back in 1981. I have NEVER EVER had a "rage fit" Or even a tantrum.....or screamed at a screen over the game I was playing. And I was about 9 when I started "gaming" (An ACTUAL arcade where I took rolls of quarters.) So even when it was costing me a quarter a fail, I didn't throw a tantrum. The problem is her husband.......and not only does he REALLY need to grow the hell up, he needs to seek out therapy for his issues. I have also never known ANYONE who behaved like that.....and I've been gaming a LONG time. That is NOT a "totally normal" reaction to gaming frustration. That said: She IS the asshole for selling his possession without his consent. In other words, selling stolen property. Once she gave it to him it became his. That's how gifts work. She DID have every right to expect him to clean up the mess he made and to earn the money to pay for the damages. It sounds like she is a parent dealing with a bratty tween.....
Hey, snake gonna snake. You don't kill the snake any more than you'd kill a cat for scratching or a dog for biting. The owner's the idiot, not the snake. The Opie, too, for letting it go so far.
The phobic fiancée story, I d be saying to the son “you do understand this will change your relationship with step dad permanently, and you are hurting him on a level that is pretty much irreparable. Also, your fiancée obviously lied to you about who she is and what she believes in as I seriously doubt you would have fallen for someone with such an foul view of life, and you can’t really say you love someone who isn’t even real.”
She is real. Just because she thinks different doesn’t mean she is not “real”. This seems to be a way to hurt his stepdad. You ever run into a child that hates their stepdad? You ever seen a couple use a spouse to do the dirty work? This could be less about being gay and more about not liking his stepfather. Maybe he really doesn’t like his father either. Wife is the bad guy but me a good soon looooves you so you can come but evil stepfather can’t. We don’t know what kind of father he has been to that kid. Then again maybe he is used to his father screaming it’s because I’m gay. Instead of, you know, dad I don’t really like you and I really don’t like my stepdad. Dad is being a jerk and says it is because I’m gay. Dad could be a jerk. You don’t have to like someone if you don’t want to.
The only thing I don't understand about the wedding story is why a gay couple wants to be in a church so badly. Homosexuality is a sin in the bible. It's one thing to be coming to the Lord and hoping He helps to take the homosexuality away but to go as an openly gay couple with no intention of changing or having any respect for the religious meaning of the wedding is something else. Why go to a church? Why not have an outside wedding or a wedding in a beautiful garden of a friend or family member's spacious backyard?
So the same people who betrayed their spouse/friend at there lowest BOTH quit their jobs when it got too hard with 6 kids to feed...I guess they can't take any commitment seriously.
2nd story, I NEWP!!! I would have put her and her snake out after the first incident....who am I fooling... I would NEVER have let her move in with that type of pet and me with a small child. BUT if for some reason I was drunk enough to let her and the snake move in, after the 2nd incident she would have had to GO! The snake bites my kid, it's a belt and some shoes. I said what I said.
You might be able to get a matching purse too. There's no way that thing would have made it to my property especially when the safety of a toddler is involved.
The last story is easy to mess with the 'Perfect Family' over. Just ask 'Mom' about the day you were born and how she loved you so much back then. Make that shiz uncomfortable as hell.

@@walkz007 Yes, this😒
The first OP’s father has some nerve to even ask his ex to take in his and his mistress’s half dozen brats for any length of time. Wow. Also, the people who expect others to “just get over it” are often the same ones that explode over and hold long-standing grudges over tiny slights against them.
The ones saying "get over it". Are the perpetrators of their own cheating history.
Careless
The negligence from all the adults in this story is incredible.
I'm proud of you for moving on despite that. You're strong so be proud of yourself for that.

Dad sounds like he might have a delusional disorder since his perception of reality is so far off. 😂😂😂
He certainly has a personality disorder to be so brazen and not feel shame.
Lol, dad is mad when he can't attend a graduation party after delaying the same kids birthday party with a lie about someone's death...
On the bright side, he should be able to get over it within the next ten years.
The dad in the main story needs to get over the fact OP and her mom don't want to be around the stepkids.
They may need to get a court order, stay away order.
@@stephanien6237 OP is at an age where she can cut her dad out of her life.

@@stephanien6237 Seeing as there are entirely too many of them, I'm betting 'no they do not'.
When you half siblings agree with your point then you know you’re good.

Why did the friend take the key for the snake enclosure with her? Was she trying to kill OP's child? Because I think she left it open DELIBERATELY!
@@alexisgrunden1556 Bruh by the sound of the story, she sounds way too stupid for that type of power play.
Story 2: I know people can be idiots but I do feel like the wife’s friends have had two little details hidden from them that could change the entire story those being:
She had the only key to lock the snake in the enclosure. And the snake bit their daughter
There is no statutes of limitations on betrayal. Dad is the continuing jerk, not OP or OP's mom. AP is also the jerk.
Snake story: if I saw a snake hurting my child, the snake would be dead

I’ve been gaming for a long time for over 40 years, when pong was king. As games got better AI over the years and playing against certain people that frustration very quickly came to the surface in me. By the time I was 33 I was doing very similar things and going along a destructive path.
100% i have snakes as well. It is not hard to remember to shut and secure the damn enclosure. The owner in the story is a neglectful idiot

Job done.

Snake gonna snake killed me. Funniest thing I heard all day.

I CAN'T IMAGINE A FRIEND MURDERING A CHILD AND NOT LIKEING NOT WANTING TO GET AWAY WITH IT.

Edit
Even my most responsible snake owning relatives gave up there boas when she had toddlers because it is known that snakes do inevitably escape. Those toddlers are now adults who love their pets.
She would have come home to a dead snake if that thing attacked MY baby. She just would have had to cry. Better her than my toddler!
I hate cheaters!
Since the animal didn't seem to be wrapping itself around the kid, it is likely it acted out of defense.
or maybe she mistook it for a toy snake and tried to grab it
@@velvety2006 Kind of hard to mistake an actual snake for a toy. There's the whole moving thing. That doesn't mean she didn't see it as a toy, more like a living toy.
@@scorpiocarnage1055 Hey, the toddler was 2 wasn't she. Would you know at that age?
@@neil999ish Toddlers do know the difference between something alive and non-alive. You make it sound like no one can observe a living thing moving and breathing on its own. What they aren't at that age is gentle.
The snake story: ESH. I'm sorry, but what were the parents doing?
OP shouldn't go to that wedding. His son is marrying a nightmare.
Son sounds like a huge coward or doormat, very disappointing behavior to sell out your family for the bigotry of your fiance
Tell your son you’ll catch him at his next marriage; when he marries a decent person for a change! 😂
Tell friends to pay hospital bill.
#1 rule: It doesn't matter what friends and or family think of how you run your own household.
Dogs and cats do get put down for biting and scratching though. Not saying it would be right, but I completely understand that point of view.
I'm a snake girl and I would NEVER have a boa and a small child. EVER
She isn’t phobic, the dad is heterophobic and a liar.
@@zerotodona1495 ew don’t post your bullshit on my thread 🤢
@@zerotodona1495 heterophobia doesn't actually exist, and nothing even indicates that the father doesn't like straight people
@@zerotodona1495 How?
PS5... NTA You are the breadwinner. He has ZERO say. You're paying to replace stuff?? You need therapy on how to deal with this POS. He's abusive.
I get angry losing a game sometimes, but I've never broken or thrown anything. That guy has a serious anger management issue.
ps5 story: "you have no right to sell the PS5" OP bought it has the receipt for it so she can do what she wants with it especially if the people using it are causing almost 500$ worth of damage to the dang house that last commenter is ignorant
