When the disciples baptized after Jesus ascension, they baptized in the name of Jesus. As such, when we call the name Jesus we are calling on the God head as a whole. That’s how I understand the name of Jesus.

Working out your salvation is not working for your salvation. To work something out means to let others(men, not God) see your fruit. If we don't live a good life in Christ as our identity is we are just like a sounding brass to men, not God. We are God's children. Many are working for christ but their name is not in the book of life. Why? Bcos what it takes for your name to be in the book of life is not working for Christ but accepting Christ's work for you.

"why can't you understand what I'm saying, it is because you cannot do so, for you are the children of your father the devil and you love to do the evil things he does. he was a murderer from the beginning and always hated the truth. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of all lies (liars)" JOHN 8:43-44. CAN YOU SEE WHEN PEOPLE SAY DAMINA IS HERETIC THEY DIDNT LIE? I humbly, but strongly disagree! This is heretical of course, in so many ways--I cannot even respond to a few of them! The statement "in the name of" does not actually mean or imply any mention of the name itself, rather it means: in the "honor of", "cause of", "purpose of", or even, in certain places, in the "place of" or "stead of". The Bible teaches generally (not mentions) the concept of the Trinity; that the Father is the true God (John 17:3), and Jesus is God because, He is begotten of the Father, and the Spirit is God, because He procees out of the Father. The thrust of this video's message violates and trivializes this profound and core Christian truth. So, can we do anything, including baptize to the cause and purposes of the Father, the Son and the Spirit? Absolutely yes!!! This is the principle of Col 3:17, which does not imply mentioning the name itself. Often in the New Testament, the Father is simply called “God” while Jesus is called “the Lord,” though this is a general principle rather than a strict rule. We know that the Father is also called Lord (LORD is Old Testament naming convention), the Spirit is also called Lord and God. So, there is totally nothing wrong with the phrase "in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost".
Am afraid, this man is mislesading many with his dishonest interpretations, perhaps trying to sound sensational. This is why teachers will have a more severe judgement. He is contradicting himself abundantly and using subtle misinterpretations to misrepresent what the Bible is actually saying. He will confuse the simple-minded and young in the faith.
For instance, on the question of "Can someone lose their salvation?", which is very easy issue to resolve, Dr. Abel intentionally violates a principle he has mentioned only a minute prior--the law of double mention! When we look at many parts of the Bible and collectively aggregate their meaning, we get the whole truth/counsel of God; which shows abundantly that, while nothing and no one can snatch you from Christ, yourself you can always leave Him in several intentional acts of disobedience.
The citation of John 10:28 is not even an appropriate answer to the question at hand at all. Jesus is saying that indeed no one can forcefully take the elect from Him (He uses the word "snatch"); He's not at all addressing the issue of if the elect themselves can never walk away from Him--of course, we can always violate, abandon or neglect what we have received--the bible warns us sternly of potential way we can lose our salvation or miss the mark of attaining unto it!! Notwithstanding that, everything eternal ostensibly given now in this life, is only given by faith--that is, on the basis that we will continue to be in Christ to the end. Salvation itself, will only actually be received when Jesus returms, no one is actually saved--we are only saved by faith!!
We have abundant biblical admonition and warning, for instance, with the example of Israel violating, abandoning or neglecting their covenant with God, did God spare them??! Absolutely, not!!!
The Bible didn't say those 3 share the exalted name of Christ. Paul said God exalted the name of Jesus above every other name. So we cannot use a non-existent phrase as an identifier of the Triune God. Jesus was clear in John - Pray in my name. In my name....not OUR name. The name of Jesus is a result of his redemptive work. It is the crown of him rising from the dead as Paul stated in Philippians. The name is clearly not SHARED by the supposed trinity. We are not saved in the name of God but rather the name of Jesus. I am not saying God didn't save us. I am saying God gave the redemptive right of atonement to the Man Christ Jesus.
On your case of losing salvation, sir have you thought about this honestly since you bemoan dishonest ways of reading and teaching the scripture. You use an example Paul used in Romans 10 when he referred to the nation and not individuals. He uses Essau and Jacob as two nations. One of faith, the other of works. Clearly, the apostle is not teaching "losing salvation" but the unfailing hands of the Saviour. How did you get losing salvation out of John 10:28? It is one of the anchor scriptures that cement the responsibility of the security of a person's salvation- the Soter is the owner of the saved. He is the slave owner. How will you run from his hands? If the law could keep Israel, why was the messiah necessary?

Don’t be hung up on the Trinity doctrine. There’s only ONE TRUE GOD (John 17:3). The only true God (the Father) has a Son, Jesus; and they have a Spirit. If you discover the Father and Son message, most doctrinal confusion disappears.

But the truth is that when you see Teachers of the word in the voluminous of their teachings trying to explain things that are very difficult to explain subjects such as these; It'll be honorable for you not to listen to them at all. All the new versions so far that I have read on Matthew 28:18-20, including NLT and The Message included the TRINITY. Salvation cannot be permanent no matter what you do. The apostles said if any man falls away after tasting the heavenly salvation there remains no more sacrifice but punishment from God. There is only one thing I believe and adopt, which is the spiritual interpretation of the word which gives lives. And I tried as much to listen carefully. The existence of Jesus as the son of God (existence of God in the flesh or body) in which things were executed in his name also validate the spirit of God. Because the bible also made us understand that the spirit of God hover on the earth. And the phrase God the father.... was to connote the existence of God in 3 being, in which we were created according to his likeness.
