It is true castiesam was not in Hindu scriptures but in later periods people used to have their ancestral lineage as caste which later became the caste system because it helps to be more secure and previlged in society.

Anybody who discriminates based on caste could be jailed for up to Six months. There are as many as 50% reservations in government jobs for people hailing from a so-called lower caste; That's the current reality. So things are getting better day by day. I am a Brahim by birth, my closest friend is a Shudra by birth. We both understand that this by-birth thing is bs.
Oh yall shld hv read some context before reacting to this video. Ramayana is one of the sacred epics of Hinduism. Its the tale of Rama, an avatar of Vishnu who defeats the Tyrant king Ravaana. An influential person claimed that Ramayana promotes caste discrimination and portrays lower caste in bad light. According to that persons theory, Shabhuka and Ravana was killed by Rama because they were lower caste. He debunks those claims in this video. Shambhuka was killed in Ramayana because he was meditating for something which wasnt allowed in Treta Yug (time period of Ramayana) but is allowed in Kali yug (modern day). And Ravaana wasnt lower caste, he was a Brahmin (the highest caste) who was killed because of his sins. Also Vishnu is the supreme god in Hinduism, he instructed Brahma to create the universe. Hindus believe in trinity, ie 3 supreme gods: Brahma(creator), Vishnu (preserver) and Shiva (destroyer). Also fun fact, Brahma isnt worshipped by Hindus, and there is no temples if Brahma (except 1) because according Hindy mythology, he was cursed that no human will ever worship him. He is infact cursed by his own wife Goddess of wisdom, Saraswati.
*The scriptures says "Janamo Jayate shudra" means we are all born as shudras without knowledge it is through our hardwork and action can we be brahmin or intellectual its basic reality no one is born any great person you have to work for it, whether you hate that working class has lowest stature in society but that doesn't undermine their work or their respect but the truth is working class will always be less privileged, just like there will always be rich and poor and there will always be successful people and unsuccessful people..* Coming to chandal there is very specific reason for not allowing then in sanctum santorium of temple and in some case the temple, because of the job they did simply the risk of health and diseases they may spread. Just as you won't get into your kitchen just after cleaning your toilet and we are talking about times 5k-3k bc ..
Ramayan is the epic, with tale of Lord Shri Ram, who is said to be reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is a story of how he inspite of being a prince had to spend 14 years of exile in jungle, during which his wife is kidnapped and taken by a demon king Ravana. So how he wins his wife back is there in Ramayan. Now in Hindu society we normal people are basically divided into four castes the brahman people(priests and teachers), the kshatriya(warriors and soldiers), the Vaishya(businessmen and traders) and the shudras(the helpers, artisans and labourers). The highest respect is given to brahmans, then kshatriya and Vaishya, then lowest of the hierarchy were shudras. Now it was okay until the distinction was purely based on the job they were doing, afterwards this distinction started becoming based on birth, that's when discrimination started. The shudras were severely discriminated and no opportunity for growth was given to them as a result they became too poor and backward. Now after Independence we have created laws to stop this discrimination and we give reservation in government jobs and college to shudra people for their upliftment. Lord Brahma is different, he is one of the trimurti god namely Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh(Shiva). Here in this video he's talking about the brahman caste in our todays society not lord brahma. Brahman are the elite class people on caste hierarchy, don't confuse them with lord Brahma. Now the different agenda people, so called "toxic mindset people" use the argument that this caste based discrimination present in hindu society today was present even in Lord Ram's period and is written in Ramayan, and they further their agenda, here in this he's just replying to those people who take few lines of scripture and divide us based on caste.
*There is no discrimination based on cast in scriptures The varna system is just division of skills The intellectual are the head that guide the society, the kshatriya are the arms that protect it, the vaishyas (traders/businessmen) are the people that sustains a society and the shudras are the working class, the legs, that drives the society forward. They just wrote in scriptures what is the reality of any society, the intellectual will always hold top spot in any society, any one can be a worker but it's hard to be a scientist. The nature has discriminated against men like not everyone can be a Ronaldo/Messi, Einstein and Bill Gates. We all have certain skills and the Varnas define it.* Only in Manusmritis translated by non Hindus you have these BS but in Vishudh Manusmriti there is no such thing.* The rigid division of cast came much later but any system is prone to corruption over time and the invaders also have a role in this and there are historical evidence of this.
U c “CASTE” is an English word…..m sorry to say that English is a very ambiguous language…..Sanskrit on the other hand is a very complex language ( here m not trying to demean u)……so we Hindus call it “VARNA” meaning ur VARNA will be decided by your character and ur actions (KARMA)…for example if a person has attained so much of knowledge and enlightenment that person is called BRAHMIN, if a person is good at the art of warfare or flighting that’s called KSHATRYIA. But unfortunately we Hindus have been slaves for > 700 years…….400-450 years of MUGAL invaders and 300-350 years to British. So there was a guy called Lord MACAULAY….it was this dude who changed the entire education system of India along with made the caste system rigid. Also even after Independence, because of the political interests that system is still existing……sadly.
