I have spent a full day searching for a phone frame that i can add pictures to on canva and google,i watched your video and easily found it. Not knowing i could find it using the keyword 'frame' i was using the keyword 'iphone frame' Thanks so much Darren
Wow! Really amazing how creative you creative people can be ... I'm so jealous 😫. Thank you for sharing how to do this ... they'll think I'm a professional! 🤫😅
loved this. is there a way to create a custom frame in canva. I have a product, a cosmetic bottle, that I want to cut out and use as a frame, and then do what you mentioned above using that. Not sure if that's possible with canva.
can you do a video on how to use these frames when doing mock ups for glass can cups, mason jars, tumblers. I want to create my own smart mock up, but can't seem to get it to do it if there are multiply views on cup.
There’s smartmockups in Canva that you can use. There are more on the pro plan here is the video ruclips.net/video/BFHW6nsCHlk/видео.html If you’re not on Canva pro there is a 45 day trial in the description of my videos. 😊
Hi there, just searching for an answer to a canva question and came across this video. Are you able to add a number of images to a frame in canva? Looking to create a photo collage in the shape of a 40 but don't seem to be able to add more than one image to each number. Wondered if it was possible to do this with canva? TIA!
Hello Darren, do you know a way to have the "$" photo frame? Canva doesn't seem to have that option. Just wondering if there's a way to add it. Thanks!
@@DarrenM Yah I saw your other video. But not really what I'm looking for. I am looking for something to insert a photo inside just like the templates from Canva. While with a background already.
Great question. No you can't merge in the same way as illustrator. You can group them so they can be selected and moved as one. But when changing colour you need to select each shape.
@@DarrenM ok thank you.. it's just that when I put 2 semi-translucid shapes side by side & when they overlap, at the intersection the color becomes darker
Can you do this, but with a video? I'm trying to recreate a VR frame with one video playing inside the two frames as you did with the images. Or suggest a way to accomplish that in Canva or Adobe App??
Yes it is possible with video. You just need to line them up. There is a section in this video that does it with video v's an image. :-) let me know if you need further help and I can do a more detailed video on how to do this with video.
@@DarrenM I found out what I want to do in Canva isn't yet available! Thank you for this, this still helped me! Originally I wanted to do that, but I saw a stock video that had a VR simulator with a green screen area and I wanted to input my own video into the stock video's green screen. Someone suggested After Effects to key the green screen so I'm trying to do that now!
This is great, but would love you to do a video that shows how you lined up the walking across the street video along the three frames like you did with the still images.
How did you manage to create the drop shadows for the frames? I’m struggling with this and can’t find a way to do it with frames, not just basic shapes
Without seeing what you mean I’m not sure I fully understand. I have a group on Facebook called better content creators where you can share an example you’ve seen. I’ll then be able to help
Very cool! Quick question - I understand how to duplicate for an exact frame but how do you do it when the frames are different, like your 2nd example with the circle and flower frames? Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much for such a great video! I'm finding the frames a little difficult to work with, and this has been really helpful. I'm excited to try some of the things you showed. Sincerely, Linda
You’re limited to the smallest it can be is the size of the frame. If you need the element show to be smaller you’d have to find a different image or make the part you want to show smaller with more space around it.
Hi Kristin, When you have added the image to the frame, you can double click the image and this will then allow you to size and move the image about as you need. You can only go as small as the frame though. :-) I'm doing an updated video on frame and grids this week, so will be sure to include this in the video.
All frames are free to use, you just need to drag the image over the frame to place it in there. You can then double click to adjust the size or crop. Hope this helps.
Great video, thank you! Maybe you could help me with something. Would you know how to create a «custom frame» ? Perhaps, I would like to make a template of a repetitive shape and add different background images to it(just like a frame). I've seen people do it, but they won't reveal their secret hehe. It is for business purposes and I can't figure it out.
Hi Laurie, currently there isn't a way to make a custom frame in Canva. You can maybe crop a grid or another frame in to the space you want your image, but it will depend on the space you want the image to show. Feel free to send me an example over on my instagram and I'll have a look for you. It might be something I can di a future video on.

Hi, I've tried a few images and have not been able to make this happen. The only way you could do this in Canva is if you place the image over the top and crop the image to the inside of the screen. If you are wanting it to do this with video, you'd have to put a green screen over it and crop accordingly from what I have been able to do. Hope this helps.

Can we merge TWO shapes like a square & a circle in canva to form a single shape? (like we can in illustrator?)

Apply the same principles really. Add the image and stretch to match the picture up.

Sounds like a glitch. If your image is inside the frame, there is no reason it should not show up. If this happens again, let Canva support know
