You make this look so easy I’m a elderly lady and my belt just came off if I could get on the ground I could do this ! I called John deer and you are right on the money for what it would cost to get it fixed I don’t have that kind of money. I would pay somebody 100 bucks to put it on for me. That seems reasonable but I don’t know anybody here. Don’t have any family here. I wish I knew where you lived in North Carolina cause that’s where I live, I’d pay you to help and show the husband how. I have a husband, but he’s not that mechanically inclined and I’m not quite sure he can do this. Thanks for the part information. This was a very helpful video. Do you know the cause of the excess vibration? I have just bought an s140 and have not mowed with it yet, but I have fired it up and spun up the blades and noticed serious vibration when running.

Thank you for this! I just got broken snake belt today on my D140 and I hate dropping the deck!
Do you loop the belt at the end of the configuration and it cross the power Polly so the blades don't turn backwards?
I've had to do that a few times with my D140. In fact I have to do it today since my belt came off yesterday while I was mowing.

I have the exact same model 33 hours on it deck belt goes flying out from under it snapped in half.
My 1st belt lasted 5 years.

Honestly don't know why wish I did, I'm on my 3rd belt now. Almost have to change every year.
