Now that we know that becoming a dragon is painful, we now understand why Erhu is the Dragon's Theme (Farosh, Dinraal, Naydra)' instrument, not just because they are asian-looking dragons, but because they are suffering with their own faded memories, as Zelda is as the Light Dragon since the dawn of Hyrule. This is a perfect and astonishing performance. Gave me chills from start to end. Love from Brazil!
I can't believe they put such a big, yet subtle hint about Zelda's fate in the trailers, using that instrument (or at least a similar-sounding one) to play the first 3 notes of her theme.

Erhu is a very underrated instrument in my opinion, and it's also my favorite thing of TOTK's main theme. I really wish more games start using it from now on

Man, the folks who made the TOTK soundtrack really kicked it out of the park with the use of Erhu. I don't hear the sound a lot, and now to me the sound of Erhu is involved with grand sweeping beautiful vistas and big operatic & dramatic moments. Listening to these tracks can make me emotional at times. Great job with the Erhu performance and song, it made me entertain the idea more seriously of visiting other countries to go see video game OST concerts live down the line.

The US has puppeteered Japan for far too long, it's time Japan stood up against the American Empire and stood arm-in-arm with their fellow East Asian brothers and sisters. This song and its performance brings tears to my eyes. Makes me think how wondrous it would be if Japan didn't invade their brothers and sisters during WWII and instead stood in solidarity with their East Asian neighbours. Thank you for being a Japanese person but who knows how to play this wonderful Chinese instrument and for playing it so beautifully!

Xenoblade 2 uses it in at least one of its songs - Argentum ~ night. Beautiful piece. It's how I found out about this lovely instrument ^^
