Hey Micheal one more thing ,some times I let the get to deep on me when the pitch is inside ,I will try to take it to the opportunity field ,or roll over the pitch to 1st base
+trey craig Check out our new video on how to properly pull the ball. It's a great way to work on hitting the inside pitch!: ruclips.net/video/uVofjq5IC5w/видео.html Hope this helps! ~Michael Pro Speed Baseball
Having trouble with my son not locking out front leg.Its bent and I've tried everything. He is 14 plays travel ball.Never had this issue before not sure how it started or how to fix it?PLEASE HELP
His sequence is off,he is not using his lower half enough and never gets locked out.His back side is finishing but his hands are also going with hips not hips first. He has never ever had any issues with hitting or mechanics. He started catching in winter practices a lot and his whole swing sequence went to hell.Confused I see the issue and am working with him on everything except having trouble with drills to get him to lock out front
+brian rettkowski He is probably jumping out with his hip and is not staying back. This can happen with an incorrect load and the front buttock side turns toward the pitcher; resulting in the shoulders starting to point toward the opposite dugout. Leading with the hip is a common cause for this. De-emphasize the leading hip, and perhaps an excessive load, while trying to achieve a soft front foot landing (like George Brett) and the front leg will "lock out" as a result of the weight shift from back side to neutral when rotation/swing occurs upon front foot plant.
+brian rettkowski if his hands are going before his hips then he may be compensating with his lower half. His lower half will feel like its falling behind and will rush to catch up. This will cause his lower half to open up to quickly

+brian rettkowski Look for leaking or the back side not finishing (the foot needs to end up lined up with the pitcher)
