Yeah, I understand why Satoko is the way she is. She lost so much and the only ones she has are Rika and the others. She's ultimately unable to imagine going on her own path outside Hinamizawa, so here we are.
She knows they're not dream or illusions, but she convinced herself that they're not more than that.. so she can get what she wants without feeling bad for it.
Rika legacy of fragments was witnessed as whole by Satoko. She went throght all the other worlds. I doubt she is not only as broken as Rika, but Satoko was already broken before the journey started. But i refuse to believe Takano is not playing any hand on this yet
I’m late but bro I’m starting to hate satoko a lot. When the first higurashi came out (2006), satoko was sweet and lovable character who suffers through their uncle and losing her brother satoshi. When I heard the New Higurashi Gou, I was so excited to see it and satoko too. But now satoko had turn to an evil person (villain). All she wants is Rika to stay with her in Hinamizawa so does her friends. Satoko doesn’t really care about the stoping the curse. While Rika does. She worked so hard going through loops to stop the curse and fighting through her friends to be safe from the curse, and do everything for hinaimizawa to be safe.
@@rustygx4867 it’s unclear to me how long she spent in each of her loops. Did she ever get to choose her checkpoints? Like that time see kept resetting for the right briefcase code. Every time she resets, how long does it take for her to get to the day, time, and place to get to the briefcase? Was it seconds or days?
@@meredithstephenson7785 It kinda is. But from another perspective. Gou was from the know nothing perspective. This is from the perspective of the culprit and what was happening behind the scenes that lead to the tragedies.
@@meredithstephenson7785 have you seen the first/original Higurashi since this is following the same formula where there’s a question arc (in which an event plays out and the viewer has no idea how or why it happened) and then there’s an answer arc later (where it’s the full story and the viewer understands what transpired). I remember it actually took me a bit to realize that Sotsu was starting off with an answer arc to the first question arc of Gou lmao
It's just the 1st arc so I'm not salty at all, it was definitely a little disappointing and I feel the escalation to Rena deciding to kill Keichi was too fast, but let's still be patient unlike the fans the first time. The big reveals are going to be near the end after arc 3. I knew it, I knew it I knew it! Rena killing Keeichi wasn't an hallucination! What is going on!? They even did a play on words when Mion said it was the same knife she meant the same *kind* of knife not the exact same knife at the murder scene. 😭😭😭 I can't wait! This is even more proof that this isn't a Lambdadelta and Berkenstal origin story! R07 is playing us all!
