Bellingham is not a 10, he's an 8. Palmer should be absolutely nailed on in that position
Palmer is now officially a striker. Number 10s don't score 3 hat tricks in one year, elite strikers do
@@NA597if we play him #10, we get the best from him. Elite Passing + finishing… finishing can definitely improve though
@@Jeff-bm4lb Jude does all that Palmer does plus better ball retention. Aint no way he gets shifted for Palmer. Its not happening....
"Bellingham does everything palmer does" is the most copium statement i have ever heard lmao. He's not close to the technical talent, intelligence, vision or passing and shooting ability of palmer. You are talking about ball retention from a number 10 like it's the most important attribute in that position 😂, you man will do and say everything to keep your little overrated player in the starting lineup. Let me give you a solution, rice in the 6, jude in the 8 and palmer in the 10, thats a balanced midfield.@@Nathan-opioid
@@Nathan-opioid Jude can play as an 8 and take mainoos spot. Mainoo isn’t as good as people think he is yet. Jude can do what mainoo does - and more. I am not saying Bellingham should be benched for palmer, all I am saying is he needs to be moved back into deeper midfield
Palmer is England's no 10, he's levels above anyone else. Bellingham can play next to Rice, job done
No wonder why England dont win major trophies when all the pundits are like this. After doing all the things Palmer has done in last 12 months, this bloke is saying he cant be in the england team. Good job, keep him out and sing its coming home.
It’s laughable
Unbelievable, won't win anything for another sixty years. Foolish!
Every time Hazard was on the ball at Chelsea, there would be this magical anticipation for what he was going to do. For a while that magic was gone when Hazard left. We didn't have any real exciting players at the club and now Palmer has changed that. He has that 'main character' energy that Hazard did.
Absolute baller!! Every time he touches the ball something happens
Of course Pep regrets it. It's not like he doesn't make mistakes 😂😂😂
This is why England wont win anything at int'l level, because how is it you have a talent like Palmer and you come on here and say "but where would he play" its shocking really 😂
It's a war crime really. They want their overrated boy to start in the 10 😂
@@cfcRhizenn both of them Foden and Bellingham, just drop one of them and play Palmer, it's not rocket science, I just don't understand how English media and the FA operate 😂
Absolutely shocking!
@@CJ_Pthe easiest solution is taking that system merchant Foden out the team and put in Palmer. I don't understand how it's that difficult.
It's such a similar story to Salah or KDB at Chelsea, there was/is so much competition at the very best sides that not all of them can stay and play 40 games a season.
The issue is no matter how many times Chelsea fans or City fans try to explain that, no one wants to listen!
@@TomDebiase123 having a debate with someone that's smart is difficult, having a discussion with someone that's stupid is impossible
The thing is, people have a hard time holding two ideas in their heads at the same time.
Both can be true: that a) the Cole Palmer rise wouldn’t have happened if he had stayed at city and b) in hindsight it was a terrible mistake for city to let him go.
It isn’t one or the other. It is exactly like the Salah/KDB situation. The only difference this time round is that many people have a really difficult time calling pep/city out for a clear mistake.
The energy is very different this time - “good deal for everyone” - never heard that said about Salah or KDB.
All anyone needs to say is that the decision to sell made all the sense in the world when they did it. It’s only in hindsight that it’s turned out to be an awful decision but hindsight is 20/20.
@@goldboy150 but city are continuing with bernardo silva, grealish, doku etc?
Why could cole Palmer not have done what Phil foden did and rise to prominence in the man city squad?
The only explanation is that pep didn't have enough faith in his abilities - that is the truth and it's a clear mistake.
You can call it hindsight, it is his job to nurture talent and get the best out of players instead of starting the usual suspects like bernardo, doku / grealish regardless of form.
@@pikachu832 ok but the same could be said about Chelsea with KDB and Salah - why persist with Malouda, Lampard, Oscar, Mata when you have this young talent to nurture?
Pep’s job is to win titles, not nurture talent. This is always the conundrum of clubs at the pointy end - do we risk losing something in order to bring the young talent through? Almost always the answer is no which is why these players flourish somewhere else and why hardly any youth products actually end up making it in the club they started at.
You can’t say that pep made a mistake in playing all the players you mentioned ahead of Palmer when he’s won the title doing it! In hindsight it’s turned into a shambles because Palmer has risen but literally no one was saying he should start ahead of anyone you mentioned while he was at city.
Palmer should be first name on the team sheet at 10 for england.
Palmer has to start as a 10 for England don’t be so bloody ridiculous
Why is this man always covering his face with the mic while spitting nonsense.. just accept it "palmer is Englands best number 10" simple as ABC
Bellingham and Foden started every game in the Euros and they were USELESS. Anyone arguing that Cole Palmer shouldn't start for England is just ridiculous
Please england use rice-bellingham-palmer at midfield..
England now needs a coach who recognizes that Cold Palmer should be the absolute leader in the team, then England will also become world champions! Gareth has blood on his hands! how could he field Foden and leave Palmer on the bench🤦🏻♂️
Bellingham can never bench palmer as a 10. Cole is better number 10 than Bellingham
Please stop making excuses for Enzo Fernandez the has been handling defensive transitions. He does not track runners, lacks mobility and does nothing off the ball. Virtually every time he plays Chelsea experiences are a poor day attempting to control the game.
What games have you been watching, outchea waffling, lemme guess you a gallagher fan?😂
What game were you watching?
Enzo had a great game…
He could’ve had 3 assists…
2 to palmer and if Sancho doesn’t get fouled he gets another assist when he scores.
We all know Enzo doesn’t have legs so no point even focusing on that.
And We don’t play this slow build up football like Man City, so we don’t need a midfielder to “control the tempo”
We play, quick transition Football.
Like How Klopp’s Liverpool used to.
You can’t see where you’d fit him in???? The bloke has outplayed every player in the England team this year???
I am always amazed at the lack of ball knowledge from some of these pundits🤦🏾.
Bellingham played most of his youth career as an 8 and sometimes he did play as a 6.
He played there at Dortmund.
He then moved to Madrid the same summer Benzema left so Ancelotti had to adapt and played him as a hybrid 10/false 9.
And guess what he’s back to playing as an 8 again this season cause they have Mbappe now.
One of the main reason why England struggled in the euros is Southgate lack of Cojones to play Bellingham next to rice and play the best number 10 in the country in Cole Palmer.
Cole Palmer is a better number 10 than Foden but pundits are not ready for that uncomfortable convo yet but it will come soon wait and see…
'hes added 15 on just for good measure there' - shows you the level of journalism required at the sun, when he has no idea about those additional charges, shaun custis is just a lowlife headline clickbaiting fraud
Just a reminder that the Oracle that is Pep Guardiola, cashed in on him. But we must not remind anyone of that, after all, who are we to question the great man.
people can’t wait to bash Southgate for not picking him, but the same people don’t say a word about Pep selling him
@@Bert-lw1otI'm a Pep fan and a Chelsea fair weather supporter...Pep selling him for 40mil at the time was a great deal for city and a head scratcher for us...I don't know why people are being prisoners of the moment,we should be applauding Palmer for improving and justifying his price tag(not that it has anything to do with him but still)...What should Pep regret, was Palmer going to win him the Champions league by playing part time?was he probably going to end up on loan somewhere and possibly run down his contract same way Jadon Sancho did,possibly...the deal was a good deal for both sides now,we got good value for a player who had not played that much senior ball and City got 40mil mostly based on his potential that's starting to be actualized...you English people have to go over the top with everything, let Palmer be just himself for a while before branding him the second coming of any all time great...has he even played over 75 senior games where he's the main guy in a team?
Rodri be careful what you wish for
Palmer is the best 10 in the world currently
Foden shouldn’t have played during the euros simple
Bellingham is a box to box mid not a 10
What does Bellingham do better than Palmer?
Neither of these two have watched the Arsenal game. It's so clear hahaha
Lol drivel... absolute drivel.
Arsenal will do what they always do
Of course u can't remember that one clowns
Arsenal ARE A DISGRACE!!!!!!
Winter is regarded as one of England's best journalists, and he thinks Palmer was managed fine by Southgate, and that Bellingham is a 10. Incredible
Tf this bloke on about!? Palmer is much better then foden and Bellingham
Bellingham is not #10 at all
No spurs fan or fan of any team is saying Maddison should be starting let’s just mention that 😂
Play Palmer on the right wing and Saka left back for England he was useless in the euros.
Rubbish celebration
Workload. It’s funny. Chelsea were silly to have so many players and now Maresca has turned it into workload management. The future of football.
130 charges as they were added by the Premier league also skipp red what? dont remember oh funny that proving the point
It's funny how they don't put him in England just because other players "have" to be started regardless of form...
VVD isn't even in the top 3 centre backs in the league, let alone worldwide. This isn't 2020. He isn't the player he was prior to injuries and age.
Palmer has been brilliant for Chelsea but let’s be honest, at city he doesn’t take penalties, he also isn’t given the space to work either if he was at city, Palmer said it himself the space Brighton were leaving him, he was confident of scoring goals against them. Not many teams play a low block against chelsea which allows the space to work.
"where would he play" 🤣🤡
The way they shoehorned that scrub Bellingham like it’s obvious he starts. He won’t be in Madrid long lol he’s Kak
Cole Palmer is the most naturally gifted English footballer at the moment, end of. More talented than Bellingham and Foden. This discussion is why England will not win anything for another sixty years. Where do they get these commentators from?
I’m sorry but people need to stop this “oh foden has to play” palmer has been better than foden this season (albeit he is injured) but also was better this season. And I think palmer has more to his game.
Although his starting position suggest he's a 10, Palmer actually plays as a right-sided 8 with Fernandez on the left and more withdrawn. His heat map shows that he rarely plays left of centre.
Gooners crying all season is the PL soundtrack.
I rarely comment on these vids, BUT that guy Winter's views on finding a position on Palmer playing for England are both ludicrous and incoherent. Palmer is streets ahead of Foden in terms of technique, impact, and winning games. Keep in mind that Chelsea would have lost numerous games without him...including yesterday's game... as well as his incredible impact when playing in the Euros. I have been watching football for over 55 years, and I can tell you that this kid is the best I have seen to put on an England shirt since Gazza... no question! Like Southgate, Winter can not seem to spot a budding genius when he sees one. I just pray we don't squander his talent like we did with Hoddle, Barnes et al. Build the England team around him if necessary.
Foden never performed for England
Cole Palmer is the best number 10 in the country. Maresca starting him as a winger to start the season was pure madness
Madness is saying he can only play one position. He literally scored 22 goals playing on the right last season. Palmer is just a footballer he can play up top or even holding midfielder.
@@yaredmussie4086 he played number 10 for Chelsea last season .
@@MrSupasheva he was RW for the first half a season
@@ednicolle2456 and guess what happened when they made him play in the middle
@@MrSupashevain all fairness Palmer was still great on the wing.
"You have to get Bellingham in there" yeah and you definitely have to get Palmer in.
England's mistake is thinking Bellingham is a no.10, you watched a healthy Foden start for England for an entire tournament and did nothing, and you still don't see Palmer starting ahead of Foden??? madness
Bro speaking like this is why England will not go anywhere..best player of the league can't get in to their country lineup..stupidity at its heights...keep not winning England..we love it!!!
Palmer left the left wing for Saka now stick Saka in the middle let’s see how it goes 😂
Again, writting off Villa, Chelsea are rubbish, it’s only Cole palmer that’s good about them
Even if Pep didn't sell Palmer, he's still behind the likes of Foden and Silva. There's just so much competition at City that someone was always going to miss out.
So your saying Pep, the best manger there will probably ever be wouldn’t find a place in his starting 11 for a player with over 50 G/As in as many games😂
@alanamccann7213 That's a poor after-the-fact argument. Palmer only got those numbers by being a star player at Chelsea. He wouldn't have reached those numbers by being a bit-part player at City, because again, he was always going to be behind Foden or Silva.
Oh please.. He's not regretting anything..Biased English media needs to stop with your delusions..The guy scored 4 goals against 5× UCL winners Brighton yeah we get it..There are countless gems in other leagues better than Palmer.. moving like an 80 year old grandpa and racking up stats doesn't make you special than anyone
Like who?
My god, this guy comments on UK channels more than any other person in the world!!
You're so pained. Which team do you even support! The guy is good, just admit it and stop this bamboozling comment
I'm a city fan, and I'm gutted we got rid of him. The guys class, it's as simple as that
Yesterday you said "take your hat off for that free kick 😍"
Palmer is the best player on the England squad. He plays wherever he wants. Foden, Bellingham and Saka aren’t better than him. Any coach not starting Palmer for England should be immediately sacked.
