I made this today and it was nice. My mum enjoyed it too which is a big deal. She rarely compliments my cooking 😀😀 But I think to cut down the calories next time I would bake chicken n skip the flour too. The rest I would do the same.

For those without some/all of the ingredients, try light soy sauce, mirin, molasses, liquid smoke, honey, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, star anise. Use spare ribs instead of loin chops.

Hihi. No problem at all. Usually in Chinese dishes, we use white pepper because it is less pungent than black pepper. Unless the dish calls for it eg black pepper crabs, black pepper Udon etc. Otherwise we will always use white pepper. Hope this explains.

Are you using baking powder as said .. or baking soda .. bicarbonate of soda .. I use baking powder to rise baked products .. thankyou for your great channel

what heat do you cook the sauce? I tried this and it took awhile for the sauce to reduce becuase I didn't want to do it as a high heat since the honey would burn.
