Great video, thanks! Just wanted to drop in to say you're a great teacher. I started playing chess online two months ago. Started at around 900 (rapid), and after lots of studying your videos, I'm at 1199 today. Still lots of room for improvement, but thank you!
3:30 - My thought process here - A mating attack from that position has to target the g2 square somehow as a protected Queen on g2 would be checkmate so Q c6 looks like a good first move although it isn't aggressive. My best attempt is a failure 1. Q c6 (Protects the Queen, maintains pressure on the diagonal), Any developing move (B f4 looks logical as it prevents Black castling queenside and moves the Bishop onto a more active square.) 2. N e5 + (or N g5 +), N e4 3. B f3 +, K g1 4. f5, B x e5 (or B x g5) 5. f x e4, d x e4 6. R d8. White now has one of 3 moves available (Q e1, Q c1 or Q b1) That's as far as I can get. I'm sure I'm missing some key move. Any comments on just how far wrong my attempt was would be appreciated.

My guess is to move the knight back to g5, white can then block with pawn or horse or eat the queen and then depending on the move white makes eat the rook which traded with bishop at f3 or move the bishop in f3 if the queen got eaten. You are correct it is a queen sacrifice. But playing knight to g5 you get the classic mate formation of bishop on f3 with check, then knight to h3 mate.

Hi Igor & Igor Nation, at 2:20 white can’t hit Q with N because P blocks N, but they can use P instead!
nice observation, but it's hard to find

that doesnt work, that hangs a queen. Remember, the knight hits the queen

Hey Igor, in your 3 steps to 2000 ELO course, are you talking about the online ELO or FIDE?
Please answer
the puzzle answer is way more simple then it looks like: Qh5 and white cant stop Qh2 mate
Why couldn't Kasparov promote to a Queen? I didn't understand what you said.
He could. But he just found it funny to promote to a knight and still win.
he done it for the memes basically
He did it to send a goddamn message. "Don't ever pin my knight". Probably
And what was the spoken text?
A queen changed her mind on the go?
knight to h4 then queen to g2 forced mate in 2
its not, Nh4 hungs a queen. white knight hits queen
I really suck and because of that I don't understand why white cant use NxQd5?
You are correct it is a queen sacrifice.
But playing knight to g5 you get the classic mate formation of bishop on f3 with check, then knight to h3 mate.
Qh5 Qh2#
White would respond to Q h5 with the move h4, eliminating your entire mating attack plan.
