Hey I have never traded before but I like watching your videos and especially the market recaps just because its fun to follow your progress. How you decide if you should get into a trade right out of the gate or wait for a pull back? because it seems like most of the time they shoot up right away.

I switched from TD because of loads of lagging issues. If the stock is moving up with volume the market moves faster than the software and you'll get filled at the top of the candle. I've had several apology messages saying that they are sorry for the latency delays. Thanks. It's for passive trading only.
Once I figured out Lightspeed with is tons of user friendly settings I was hooked. I wasn't hooked on the fees though, and it gets expensive if you make lots of trades. The software also was buggy today under heavy volume and I got a trade filled $1.20 ABOVE the ask price. I don't know how that's even possible and the tech support is stumped when they saw my user files.
Hmmmm they are still working on figuring it out.

@@DaytradeWarrior They had a tech look at my configuration settings through TeamViewer and found no errors. Then sent me an email saying that their techs are looking into it, and to no use the hot buttons anymore. Which defeats the purpose of fast trading. I reached a boiling point today with over 10 rejected orders. The software is not bulletproof enough. Latest error is that I don't have permission to buy while holding no option positions. I'm done with them. Good luck.

Say you want to try a Lightspeed Demo Account. Is there any requirements (e.g. you have to have an existing 25'000$ account). Or do you have to pay the monthly 100$ platform fee?
Not sure if you ever got an answer on this but it’s now 130 dollar fee a mth plus 10 a mth for market data. Not sure if it’s the same for everyone I think it is but the cost of the platform gets taken away as you do commission so it could be free each month if you trade regular. Basically the commission fee deduct from the mth fee.
When you submit an order like you said control z is that a market trade, or do you use limit trades when making quick day trades?

Is it possible to have the Level 2 in paper trading, even if I paid for the Premium version? I have been doing it for three months now but hard to get better if i can't get it in the simulation. Now' if i get a broker in order to get it, will they ask me to put money in an account, even if I still want to stick with the simulation. I'm lost.

When you use shortcuts to lets say buy 100 shares, if the stock's bid is at $10.00 and ask is at $10.05. How does the shortcut handle placing your limit and stop loss?

Hey Richard, Hey! I don't think so, but you can open a second window that is the complete time and sales window.
Hit the gear icon inside the level 2, then go to design then uncheck the display prints box.

The Hotkey setting you use with 0.05 cents above or below seems a little bit too much for me for this kind of Stocks. Whats the reason for you to choose 0.05 cents?
Hi Philipp, I like to use a 5 cent offset on my orders so I can get filled even if the stock is moving quickly, like OGEN, ZSAN, INNT, you can certainly tighten that up to a 2 or 3 cent offset if you preferrred.
I would love to see how to trade right on the chart like I do in TOS, also, is this platform capable of placing bracket orders?

The platform you are using in Lightspeed, is that their proprietary software or is it DAS Trader software?
I'm reading conflicting information and would like your input on this. If the two are different do you have any thoughts on DAS Trader?

Could you use Ameritrade for charting? Also when looking at charts from another platform, is the price action the same so that you're buying and selling through your broker at the exact same price as the charting software compared to your trading platform?
I do... price action is seems the same, but sometimes i notice the vwap is a bit off...

Hey Ross - I'm currently trading in Thinkorswim and definitely see the benefit of switching over to something like Lightspeed. I do momentum trading and some scalping though, so I'm a little worried about the fees since I'm buying/selling a good amount of times per day. How much do you think someone should be earning ($ amount) per month on a free broker like TD before it makes financial sense to make the switch to Lightspeed?

I am not sure I am asking at the right venue, but I just opened an account at lightspeed and was informed (after opening the account) there IS a $100/month PLATFORM FEE (but will be credited towards commissions for that month), I am not planning to trade right away, thus do not want to pay $100 per month. Will stick with THINKorSWIM for now. DO we know if there is a way to avoid a platform fee for LIGHTSPEED? thanks
learn Thinkorswim patterns from Dmitry Vladislav tutorial classes. Using his strategy called *Blended Model Strategy* turned things around and he helped me unlearn the BS knowledge. He's my best and unlike these so called experts on social media he's always willing to help. google for his strategy online and get connected to it..

Say you have $30,000 to use for a one 2-hour session day trading. How much profit/gain out of that with your experience would you say you would expect to gain as average? would you expect to finish the day with $10,000 gains? 1,000 gains? That one I don't think you can make in Lightspeed, that's for DAS Trader (Speedtrader, Suretrader, Interactive Brokers) only.

What are the monthly Cost for LightSpeed Trader ??
typically 4.50 per trade, But Warrior Members can benefit from reduced commissions and Warrior Pro students can benefit from $2.50 per trade until they've been reimbursed for the cost of the Warrior Pro. If you don't meet the minimum shares traded per month then there's a monthly fee, otherwise it's just commissions and ecn fees
