How do you like the Nano USB Airpump?
Love mine, glad to know they have long life thank you
Love it
I love mine
I use 1 in the car when gettin fish from other people. Works amazing
Bay Area Aquatics dont have it
Thanks for making the video on the update. I think these types of videos are extra useful to people.
This video was exactly what I was looking for. Thinking about adding a sponge filter and air stone to my 55 gallon community tank and moving the hob penguin 200 on it to a new tank..
I love mine. I did have one that died after 3 or 4 months and they replaced it free which they didn't have too and I appreciated their customer service. I do like the double adaptor so I can run sponge filter and airstone together. So handy when we loose power.
These pumps are awesome. I live on a Narrowboat and when I’m away from the marina electricity is an issue. These things use so little I have five of them running my five tanks.
They are plenty powerful enough for one to run a sponge and a box filter via a pipe splitter. They are reliable mostly lasting a year plus. I say mostly reliable, every now and then I get one that fails after a few months.
But at £4 each from Amazon it’s hardly a disaster !
Silent, reasonably reliable, use virtually no power, dirt cheap, it’s an absolute no brainier.
Thanks for this video and greetings from 🇬🇧🙂
Great little pumps! So quiet. I run an airstone on one in my planted 20 gallon and about to run a small sponge filter on another for a 5.5 gallon shrimp tank I'm setting up
These are great. Pumps more air than my
Tetra whisper and it’s 100 times more silent than the whisper
My first one died after 6 months running an airstone in a 20L. I liked it so much that I bought another from Amazon because the Coop was sold out at the time.
For around $30 get the activeaqua 6 watt air pump. I have it mounted in a insulated box, dead quiet. Runs two twenty gallon tanks, a ten, and a 40 gallon breeder. Without the box it is still pretty quiet considering it puts out 240 gallons per hour.
I love them! I’ve thrown a couple of them away because they quit working but just recently I got out one of the old wall plugs that I had from one of the ones that I threw away and was going to use it to charge my phone and discovered that the plug was no good. This makes me wonder if I threw away a good nano pump. Ugh! 😭
Oh, that stinks!
It's on my next Aquarium Co-Op's order. Can't wait to try them out.
Been using two of them for about a year now and still running strong
I didn't know that Jordan n0thing Gilbert digs aquarium pumps
Hey man what fish store do you go to? I also live in the bay area and I've been having trouble getting quality fish after aquarium concepts burned down.
I mainly purchase from breeders now. I've met a lot through the Sacramento Aquarium Society (Would highly recommend if you havent checked them out). When I do need something local, I shop at Fin-Tastik in Antioch or Concord Aquarium.
Now only if they would ship to Canada. Would love to try a few of their products.
I believe they have some products (easy green) on amazon for canada. At least I believe they were working on getting the intercountry permits and such, but I'm not positive.
@@DilettanteCulture Yeah, they do have some Easy Green products on amazon, but the main issue is finding a nano usb air pump. In canada it is just so rare to find, most times they ship from china and it takes a month or two.
They are generic air pumps from China. Aquarium Co-Op does not manufacture it whatsoever. They are literally $1 on AliExpress
@@lukas______ Are they the same ? Can you give me more info ?
What do you think about running them together with co2? Many people online seem to think running an airpump will get rid of all the co2, but on the other hand everyone seems to be in love with running extra air
I personally don't run c02, but I believe the co-op has several videos on that subject.
I got these specifically for power outages and got to use them yesterday power went out I turned on mine and my gf’s laptops plugged them popped the air stones in and off they went keeping my fish alive highly recommended for many situations
I have several USB Nano pumps as well. Great product. 👍
Im running two 5 gal shrimp tanks with one. Might even start up another 5 gal and pipe it on there too. Good little pump.
I have 3 tanks - so 3 USB air pumps. The longest running one is over a year now 24/7 and yeah, I really like it. Very quiet, low power draw, what is there not to like? I did have 2 extras that I sheared the little while plastic nipple part off. I wish I could fix them somehow but no luck.
Do ypu think this will run for a year 24/7 on a fifteen gallon tank ?
If I have known that aquarium coop was selling, I might have bought from them.
The one that I bought from Amazon a year ago work perfectly until this month. 2 of them stop working. I tried to open and fix one of it. But the wire connection is too weak i accidentally broke the connection. Now one by one they getting weak and almost stop working. I dunno if the 5 items I bought are just lemon or the it is really no good but I am now in search for another USB air pump. I really do love this it is so quite. I bought 5 of these.
I will try buy with aquarium coop and see how is their usb air pump differ from what I bought from amazon.
Thanks for your review.
Have to agree, love them. Great looking video by the way.
Not broken yet? U use it 24x7?
I have 4 usb air pumps running and I love them.
I have 4 of Aquarium Co ops Great usb Pumps
Works on my 2 tanks. And a couple extra for back up👍🐠
That’s awesome. I run several. Good to know they keep going!
Greetings neighbor from the santa cruz mountains. Just got one of these with their never clog airstone. Not disappointed. Honestly I've been buying some of their products and plants for a while. The only thing I can really complain about is how difficult their root tabs are to use. Suckers like to float and I have a hard time keeping them in my tongs.
Would this be a good air pump for a 10 gallon tank. I have an african clawed frog in it, so he produces a lot of waste. Just wondering if this would be strong enough.
Mine died well before the end of the first year, which was unfortunate, because I loved how small and quiet they are. Now I'm using a regular air pump and the noise constantly drives me crazy.
I find these pumps hit or miss but i dont think they are meant for long term loads.
I have two HOBs on my lightly stocked/planted NO CO2, LOW LIGHT, LOW TECH 55 gallon. Should I add an additional airstone?
Love the long term tests really shows how a product holds up
Hi
Is this good for full time use on a 15 gallon tank ?
Will it last for a year atleast ?
How many broke till now?
Has anyone tried to run two of them into one line for more power?
what size coarse air filter are you using can you use the large just heard you said large? thanks
Can you run the air pump off of a battery backup in case of a power outage?
How big of a tank like in litre or gallons can the air pump work?
I'm looking for similar products to these that can ship to Europe, do you have any recommendations? Specifically the weighted sponge and these tiny strong pumps.
This looks great !
I dont think you need a mechanical filter on the back tank lol. So many plants in there
Been trying to get Co-Op to ship me a load of them to the UK since they 1st came out but still no luck
It is a generic Chinese made pump. They are all over ebay.
All over ebay and wish just look up usb air pump
Amazon also apparently
As the others sed u can get em on ebay n amazon but I've been wanting to order sum on alibaba because if u order 10 pcs u can get em at between 1.50 to 4 pound each
They’re not designed or made by aquarium coop. He simply orders and resells the green. They are a generic usb air pump sold on eBay and Amazon. Shouldn’t have any difficulty finding them in the UK.
I use a skywin rechargeable air pump I got off of Amazon for my bait cooler
I had some of the old ones and they came with an air line and air stone. I didn't realize the new ones don't come with that and headed out to the field. Needless to say I had no air on the way home. Haha. I should have checked.
It would actually be nice to it see set up & in use on tank & external breeder box
Would one of these work good on a 55 gallon with the large sponge filter from Aquarium Co-Op? Right now I'm running 2 Fluval 30s on the tank.
@Tanked Up I have had 3 of these over the past year and they all have failed...
is this air pump require diaphragm like normal air pump do?
They do not have a diaphragm.
@@happymom9255😮
I got 1 of these off ebay the other day to use in the car when transport fish around
Hi do you think it's possible to run multiple 5 gallon tanks from one of these pumps?
I mean like 2 .five gallons tanks per pump?
I love mine
I prefer multiple outlet air pumps. I do think these pumps are cool but too pricey.
I would definitely love if they put out more air, but for me the quiet is worth paying for.
Bay Area Aquatics Haha I bet for someone as picky as you haha
I love mine as well
What's the largest Aquarium Co-op filter than can be run from the USB nano air pump? New- Subbie!
i use this on my biorb 30 flow much better than the loud one that comes with it
If you remove the rubber sleeve and remove the resistor it will use less than half of the electricity. The resistor is only there so that it works with some powerstations but is a waste of electricity for most situations
They are literally $1 on AliExpress
But doesn’t it take most things on aliexpress months to arrive? Then again some items come pretty quickly.
Could definitely be useful in power outtages.
Thanks to you I just orderd one HAHA
Just thought. I’d be terrified of keeping an aquarium in a place that could have an earthquake!
but reviews are shocking on amazon
Just to let you know, these are available on AliExpress for as little as £1 with free delivery
😁
