  • Well this is the last video from the top of the mountain. The third day was a bit of a disaster so I left a little early. It was still a great trip and awesome to do a little exploration out there just to see what there was to be found. I think I'll so more exploration in the area at some point but I have some big plans for the rest of the summer. Thanks for watching

16:09 maybe you could catch some of those black flies HAHAHA!
Man, that place sure is beautiful buddy. I noticed you use a big sledge buddy, what a beast! My tiny little arms get wrecked when I use that size so I have to use the 2.5 lbs.
    Cheers man ^^

What an awesome view! It is an amazing place and those pieces of pegmatite you got out are gorgeous! You are so athletic and young that you can handle all of the climbing involved with that! Enjoy it while you can and it is wonderful to see videos from you in here again! Thanks Liam!

Thanks!! There's so many more mountains to explore, hopefully I'll get to climb a couple more before winter hits. I have a couple trips planned so hopefully I'll get some good footage too. Can't wait to get out again!!

That was very enjoyable to watch. Congratulations to make it to the summit. It's so beautiful and peaceful up there. Nice rock samples. The black sunstone is cool. Keep up the good work.

Thanks!! Yea the black sunstone was intriguing, just something I don't see too often. Still not a ton of schiller in that material but there was some in it and its a good sign there could be some better stuff around. The biggest challenge is extracting these fragile feldspars from the hard granite🙂

Spectacular views! What a great place to explore the pegmatites! I've never seen epidote in that form before, very cool. It's been many years since I was able to backpack to magical places like this so it's great to join you in your videos. Thank you for sharing this great adventure.

Thanks!! Epidote is pretty interesting, it can form in both spray type formations or as single crystals, sometimes even like faden quartz!! it's also pleochroic if you can find a gemmy enough piece!! some good gem grade epidote would be such a cool find!!

Yet again another wonderful video!! 😊What kind of shovel/hiking stick did you use in this video? The all steel one. Did you make it or can it be purchased and if so do you have a link or name you could share?

Thanks!! I got this shovel years ago when I was super into metal detecting!! I believe it's a lesche sampson shovel with a ball handle. They're great to drag behind you as a noise maker, to use as a hiking stick, digging, prying. just a great multiuse tool🙂
