Prognathodon is a relative of the Mosasaur and both are cousins to modern day Lizards and Snakes. There is actually a theory that Monitor Lizards are the only living relatives of the Mosasaurid reptiles.

Prognathodon remind me of my favorite prehistoric animal the mesosaurus but prognathodon has a longer name then mesosaurus and mesosaurus is bigger than prognathodon so I don't know how that makes sense but I still like prognathodon cuz you reminded me of mesosaurus
