My problems is sticking with more Lair things over good generic cards, but some of them i would never take them out: I usually love playing virus cards, even of you end up going minus 1 or even in the process, card knowledge is scary good in the hand of a good player. Talking about Diabolica, the new lv 8, she gives you recycle and a free body if you Stick with Fiend monsters and can be used to make some of the usual scary good rank 8s to play around Dbarrier. I tried the Staysailor plâng monster to send an extra deck monster to the grave and that gives you a material to use in the grave in the usual Branded fusion-Albion-Lubellion play, and having already the monster to tribute off of Heradicator or anything is a safe way to assure the activation. I will say that I don’t know what you have tried and what not, i just have grown to dislike patch work because i feel like I just make my plays worse to make the card live, but I might be wrong. For the predaplant version it’s a dedicated going second deck so I avoid using the virus cards because they’re usually only good going first. I think diaboloca is a great idea and I completely forgot about her. Extra deck space might be a little too tight to have for Xyz cards unfortunately 😞. I did experiment with sailor for a bit and I think she might be worth putting back in… just sucks to draw her 🤣. I’ve been liking patchwork lately because it un bricks your hands to make Chimera easily! Probably more viable? It plays well under time and otks very easily. If your opponent makes you go first you can side in a bunch of things like shadow imprisoning mirror, imperm, Lilith, virus cards etc
