My grandparents lived across the way from the LeBlancs house. All my life my family had all gotten together to go to the parade the rodeo and when we got older to the horsepin to party until the sun came up. Best times of my life.
Been there many times. One afternoon I sat all alone at the Greyhound Bus Station in Okmulgee, that was closed, on my suitcase while I waited for the bus to Tulsa. Then everyone showed up for the rodeo.
That location is not where it used to be, back in the day it was further south in a pasture. Those were definitely the better days, camping out and BBQ for 3 days.
Yes indeed down past the grave yard I know I been going that long too been going since the 70's..lol...Its part of my family being at the RODEO gotta love it
Okmulgee Rodeo is a big deal and you gotta love it been going since I was a kid my grand pa was some of the original cowboys to start it 60 plus years ago I was told..!!!
