Mid/side mode would be a great update for this EQ.
totally agree
The high end boost sounds just like you are removing a blanket progressively not like an eq, this is just amazing 🤩
This is amazing - what you're essentially doing if you use this EQ over a whole bus is to pull OUT frequencies (relatively) through the boosting, but in the most natural way possible. I bet this sounds incredible over the mix-bus.
Yo the high end on this is smooth as hell!!!
@Equi3v Try watching in the 720p view.
amazing stuff... loved it..
Jesus, this is sexy! Super solid composition, drummer is amazing, night and day between having it on and off. I don't know if I could dial something in this saucy. As you said, extreme settings still sound good, which is persuading me to buy it. It's like a fondu fountain of groove. I freakin' dig it!
👍
wow sound real nice..
awesome....... aweeesome !!
I have a simple request with your videos. Could you include a few of these basic questions on your uploads for people new to all this virtual studio gear-most of your users havent been using the analog counterparts for 30+ years.
•What type of scenario is this plugin generally used? Guitars, vocals, synths, mixbus, etc. by industry professionals?
•What's its strength and when should I not use the plugin.
•Where is it best used in the signal chain?
•How is it different than another EQ's, what's unique? Why would I use it over another?
•What type of coloring is it doing?
I guess what I feel is missing is consistency between the plugins that help me understand the differences and why I'd use it over another for comparison.
Almost like a video game character chart for selecting your player but for a plugin (Speed, strength, agility)
THANKS!
Eric, there's just so much subjectivity and taste involved, it's hard to nail it down that much!
I GOT IT! NICE!
I have a massive, and this is very very very close to the real thing, if universal dropped there prices by 50% for one month to promote this plug in, I'm sure they would make more profit in the sheer volume of units they would sell. Between this and the fatso (which I also have) They could put me down for two quad core cards!
It’s 60% off rn lol
I did watch it like that with my beyerdynamic dt 880 pro and my dat, but still the sound is laking. But I guess it's just youtube, beacause i truly believe this eq is a real beast.
it sounds quite incredible but is there another way of listening it in action without this terrible compressed youtube sound?
If UAD would finally give us a an UI that is not optimized for a 1280 screen, that would be awesome :)
I know right? They’re super small on my 4k monitors.
@@elissitdesign indeed
LOL
I want to hire this drummer.
Any vocal demonstrations in the near future with this eq machine?
Tune in tomorrow where we'll be covering the Manley VoxBox! www.uaudio.com/live
looks and sounds great but I only have one pci-e slot and it's in use so I guess I can't run it. Also it has to be said that when you add up the cost of the plugin and the cost of a card it starts to look foolishly expensive - I've seen hardware versions go for not much more on ebay.
Doubtful, talking a few grand for hardware, while if you wait to use coupons for retailers and UAD promos you can save just as much as if you bought it all outright, in the long run it’s not that expensive compared to what else people spend money on that is just as “foolish” like a bar tab, drugs, expensive clothes or just about anything else.
Lovely vid thanks, but can someone edit the dialogue audio and get rid off those nasty clics? many thanks :)
crazy price, my choice of Waves Gold, thirty plug-ins for $ 800
Most of WAVES plugins are ancient code. The UA stuff has far superior with modern algorithms, a lot more going on.
Bandwidth instead of gain always gets me confused
wow! Digital Eq for a computer..what an imaginative concept..I'll certainly be cranking out out the hits now!! Let me get my wallet....
+Mike Walker No offense and I'm sure you'll understand what I'm saying now some day; What you just said is a clear indication of your ignorance regarding to the lack of quality plug ins.
+Mike Walker And yet you managed to watch the video. Hmmm...
I agree! Like at first I was thinking "wow cool can I really afford to get to use a massive passive kind of thing on my mixes!?" but then I realized I would have to use it on a computer, "noooo!!" like how last seasoned is that :( Wish there had been a completely new concept and new way of using it, I don't care what or how unconvinient, all that counts is the amount of imagination used in the development.. makes no sense to make plugins cus people use those right. I hate fucking wheels too, why do they still use those?! how fucking old concept is that..
lol @ this original comment. Yes it's all about the money! Those evil greedy software engineers out there going through hours, days, weeks, and months of exceptionally tedious work to come as close as they can to emulating real world music equipment just because they want what's in your wallet! And now they're holding a gun to your head and forcing you to buy too huh?
Why do these always expect me to pay for a product they created and advertised? Why aren't they out there producing these powerful plugins for free so that I can use them? It's not like they can't produce these intricate plug-ins while living in tents and purchasing their daily food from spare change given to them as people walk by. Why I bet these evil greedsters even have homes and drive cars, and pay bills to sustain their lives! Just who do they think they are daring to produce something and working to make it sound as close to real world equipment as possible, and then turning around and actually trying to sell it. Humph!
You sound like a Bernie Sanders supporter. They too think that it's wrong for people to produce something, and actually ask for a reasonable amount of profit while doing so. Are you a Bernie Sanders supporter?
I have purchased 6 plugins from UA so far, and I will be buying more. And do you know why? Because I cannot believe the difference these have made in my music, and the life they have brought to each track!
Six plugins!!! What the hell was wrong with the first one!!?
you boosted too much over the Bass frecuencies at first, then at end you reduce in the Master ¿Why? to me the results are too much low end and a little boomy even after the Master EQ kinda exagerated to demo the plug in
thought the exact same thing.
