Freshy this was awesome. I usually prefer the Live action battles, but the lyrics, flows and editing in this one was great. This TMNT battle was better than ERBs version. Amazing work man.
These are the perfect designs for the Turtles. They clearly take inspiration from the Mirage comics in terms of their faces, but they seem to take quite a bit from the 2012 show with their body, which I love because I love that show's designs for the Turtles. The gear on their shells, in particular, is what resembles 2012, with Mikey and Raph both having just a belt, but Leo and Donnie adding to the belt with a strap to better hold their longer weapons. Not only that, however, there are also small details that call back to 2012, mainly with Raph having a lightning bolt-shaped crack in his plastron and especially with the masks. Raph's mask is tattered, an aspect that other iterations such as Rise and The Last Ronin also used. In particular, here, they resemble flames, befitting Raph's fiery personality. Mikey's mask is notably the shortest along with Donnie's, but while the ends of Don's mask are square, Mikey's taper off, showing that Donnie's mentally stronger than the significantly crazier Mikey. And of course, Leo's mask is long enough to visible flow in the breeze at the end, showing off coolness befitting the leader. Their weapons take more from the 2003 show in that their handles are wrapped in the Turtles' respective colors, something I've always thought was really cool. This color wrapping extends to the Turtles themselves here, an aspect taken from the 1987 show, albeit mixed with 2012's positioning of the wrappings. They're all different sizes too, something I really like. Donnie's the tallest and the skinniest, a concept started by 2012 that several incarnations since, such as Batman vs. TMNT, have also done. Leo has the most average build, which makes sense, since he is the leader. Raph and Mikey seem to share the spot of smallest turtle, which makes sense in my opinion. It's pretty universally agreed that Mikey's the youngest, so it makes sense that he'd be the smallest, and I feel like Raph also being the smallest could add another layer to his anger. Overall, I simply adore these Turtle designs.
I love how the TMNT scenes included iconic imagery from the show, the movies, the games, and the original comic. Even the background track to their last verse was a reference to “Go Ninja Go” . Well freaking done.
THIS IS HOW YOU REPRESENT TMNT... Not like ERB which got them doing absolutely nothing. I wanted at least one of the turtles to freestyle while another beat boxes and this vid accomplished this... Freshy never fails!
@@Reporter_PumpkinHead Leo is saying Everytime the Ghostbusters try to catch a ghost, they end up killing people in their city. Which turns them into ghosts since they're dead
This is the first time I can definitively say that covering the same material as ERB (in both the Turtles and the Ghostbusters albeit in different battles) the writing here was SO much more solid than what they did. Still love 'em both, but holy crap this was strong.
"Youre dead weight, who only show up to haunt crowds" is FUCKING CRAZY. Obviously the main diss of calling them a waste of space. But thats definitely a rib on them doing the deepfake/AI Ghostbuster in Afterlife (which is funny as fuck its that one) The Turtles absolutely got some disgusting lines in but dont let that distract from the fact Ghostbusters had some absolutely fire lines as well. Especially the ones roasting the live action movies with the double teeth, Michael Bay, and Splinter made a funny being my personal favorites

@@andresrodrigue7681 there probably some random comic or iteration where they did Ralph showed off having a bit of crush on April or something you can interpret as that I would not be surprised if there was that since TMNT has a lot of material
Goodness gracious, the TMNT wiped the floor with the Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters ran the first verse but after that they were getting cooked. My favourite part was from 0:00 to 3:10. Also, the animation just keeps getting better and better every time. I’m serious. This is some of the best animation I’ve ever seen in any rap battle period. This animator (among the other ones you’ve worked with on more than one occasion) has shown some real growth throughout the past couple years and honestly it’s insane.
Thank you so much for creating a fully fleshed out Rap Battle featuring the Ninja Turtles, which in my opinion ERB cheapd out on with how short it's version was. Also, great timing, smart move to match up two 40 year old franchises against each other, I forgot that was even a fact! Keep up the great work.
I really like the references yall did here. Even from their respective erb battles, like the swap instrumental from Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters, and the flow with TMNT vs The Artists. Honestly one of my favorite battles from Freshy. TMNT slightly won for me, but Ghostbusters did NOT hold back at all.
@@TanmanC In Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters, they changed the instrumental for each verse, to represent the characters more. And that’s what Freshy did here too.

I love how the TMNT scenes included iconic imagery from the show, the movies, the games, and the original comic. Even the background track to their last verse was a reference to “Go Ninja Go” .
Well freaking done.
not only the clip of them throwing their trenchcoats off, but ending it on a panel styled and colored after the original underground comix kicked ass.
Criminally under viewed
THIS IS HOW YOU REPRESENT TMNT... Not like ERB which got them doing absolutely nothing. I wanted at least one of the turtles to freestyle while another beat boxes and this vid accomplished this... Freshy never fails!
Mikey breaking it down and Raphael's "Only the ghost in your bed had you busting" was absolutely BRUTAL. The Turtles BODIED
“Then by 2016 the boomers were swapped out, and they gave up the ghost, so who you gonna call now?”
GOOD LORD
This is cyancoat's greatest work yet. Props to that guy
Thank you so much!
Holy shit! You’re version of turtles and your version of ghost busters was WAAAAAAAAY more dope than ERBS! Good job AGAIN!
This was so awesome. Every 80s/90s kid’s dream come true haha. Incredible animation and so many awesome lines. Both franchises represented super well
"For every ghost you catch you leave a half a city of new ones" bro really DEVASTED ghostbusters they had no chance💀☠
i keep seeing comments av=bout that line but i don't get it
@@Reporter_PumpkinHead its saying that for every ghost they catch, they create more in the process by killing people.
@@Reporter_PumpkinHead Leo is saying Everytime the Ghostbusters try to catch a ghost, they end up killing people in their city. Which turns them into ghosts since they're dead
@@BingoBungaBango oooh
1:29 that t-pose TOT
WOAH ACTUAL ANIMATION!!! Seeing this channel grow to this level has been a blessing. Keep up the amazing work
0:58 I love the line about them wearing janitor gear, made me laugh out loud. 😂😂😂
And then they wonder why i got 35k minutes of Freshy Kanal listening in my youtube music wrapped, this is fire as always my man
NAH “FOR EVERY GHOST YOU CATCH YOU LEAVE HALF A CITY OF NEW ONES” IS INSANE TALK TO EM TMNT
This is the first time I can definitively say that covering the same material as ERB (in both the Turtles and the Ghostbusters albeit in different battles) the writing here was SO much more solid than what they did. Still love 'em both, but holy crap this was strong.
I like how Mikey is a hype man for other turtles when he isn’t rapping
Ayo ghost busters v TMNT?!?!? Now this is gonna go crazy
"Youre dead weight, who only show up to haunt crowds" is FUCKING CRAZY. Obviously the main diss of calling them a waste of space. But thats definitely a rib on them doing the deepfake/AI Ghostbuster in Afterlife (which is funny as fuck its that one)
The Turtles absolutely got some disgusting lines in but dont let that distract from the fact Ghostbusters had some absolutely fire lines as well. Especially the ones roasting the live action movies with the double teeth, Michael Bay, and Splinter made a funny being my personal favorites
"Who you gonna call now" HITS HARD
This is easily both a better Ghostbusters battle and a better Ninja Turtles battle than ERB.
This is better than both of those battles combined. Freshy Kanal is HELLA underrated
I feel like a busters were better o ERB
stop f comparing and enjoy both
A better Turtles battle than the so bad it's good one EPIC Rap Battles of Cartoons made
"Only the ghost in your bed had you bustin'!"
GOD DAMMMMMMMMMN!!!
Happy to finally see this one out.
This is your best animated battle by far. Great job. 🔥
WAIT WAS THAT A PRESTON HOURGLASS ARCADE MACHINE??????//
⏳️
0:38 you know I knew the turtles was gonna win, but you got me at this part. There wasn’t lying when they said that the turtles had a crush on April except for Rafael
@@andresrodrigue7681 there probably some random comic or iteration where they did Ralph showed off having a bit of crush on April or something you can interpret as that
I would not be surprised if there was that since TMNT has a lot of material
TMNT's 2nd verse has gotta be somewhere in the Top 5 best 2nd verses on the channel. It builds it's own hype, it's awesome.
Let’s kick it back to the 80s
This was awesome
1:17 Donnie just beatboxing while Mikey is rapping is so cool
It's something they will do
Damn they even got the Donatello double-mouth reference in there
Thank you so much for creating a fully fleshed out Rap Battle featuring the Ninja Turtles, which in my opinion ERB cheapd out on with how short it's version was. Also, great timing, smart move to match up two 40 year old franchises against each other, I forgot that was even a fact! Keep up the great work.
IT'S PEAK, MY JAW WAS DROPPED FOR THE ENTIRE RUNTIME
WE MAKING IT OUTTA THE SEWERS WITH THIS ONE!
The "For every ghost you catch you leave half the city new ones" line was just genuinely insane
TMNT FTW
I really like the references yall did here. Even from their respective erb battles, like the swap instrumental from Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters, and the flow with TMNT vs The Artists. Honestly one of my favorite battles from Freshy. TMNT slightly won for me, but Ghostbusters did NOT hold back at all.
Wdym by swapped instrumental from Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters?
@@TanmanC In Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters, they changed the instrumental for each verse, to represent the characters more. And that’s what Freshy did here too.
2:20 I just realized Raph dived in for an elbow drop
Even when they're down he still wanted the smoke
He wanted his revenge from getting zapped earlier (?)
I loved this fully animated battle! Hope you can do more in the future.
That was AMAZING. Easily one of, if not, the best battle you've made. Thank you to everyone involved in making this. Absolute cinema.
"You only face the shredder when you got taxes" crazy😂
SO FUCKING FIRE FRESHY! THIS GIVES ME UR 2020 BATTLE VIBES BRO!
The bed busting line is so peak tmnt won 😭
Never would've thought that these 8 would be in a rap battle together incredible
THIS IS ACTUALLY CRAZY AWESOME FR THIS IS SO COOL THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS AND AWESOME WORK THIS IS SO BADASS
This is the one of the greatest rap battle I’ve ever seen. No exaggeration. I love it
Oh my god I love this style of animation
It already adds to a really fire rap battle
This is my new favorite battle you've made, you guys keep getting better every year!
As a former TMNT fan, I love this battle! The bars, the beat, the beatboxing, the references! Happy late 40th anniversary to TMNT and Ghostbusters!
is the line at 1:09 also a reference to the neil cicierega video/song “Bustin” (on top of being a reference to something that actually happened in one of the ghostbusters movies)
“if there’s something weird, sleeping in your bed; lemme tell ya something.”
alright the beat is literally one of the best I've ever heard in a rap battle (ERB, Eddiefrb, Freshy)
Man the disses, flows and beats keep getting better with every video. Keep up the great work Freshy!
