I never think of Jungle Juice as a shot. I always think of it mixed in giant tubs with pieces of fruit floating in it

That's exactly what it is! It's definitely not a shot, and I definitely had 5 glasses the night I met my now wife.
And it has different names depending on your locale. It's Jungle Juice in Detroit, but Harry Buffalo in Ohio.
I've heard jungle juice around the United States this way, as well as Wapatooley.

Jungle juice isn’t normally a shot. It’s usually punch. You dump a bunch of different alcohols and juices and then sometimes cut up fruit into the biggest container you can find. You see it at house parties. The only other shot on here I’ve heard of is the duck fart.

Jungle Juice in college is much different than when I was in the Army. Jungle Juice was fresh fruit and Everclear in a large container with industrial packets of Kool Aid to make the taste. :D

Justine is one of my top 3 favorite tryers. I was flabbergasted when she said the durian fruit (🤢🤮) wasn’t as bad as that shot. I’ve seen the durian vids with her. She cast the devil on someone for bringing it in.
Hayley is hysterical with her commentary. Ie: goose queef. I legit spit my coffee out at that one.

When we had a party with jungle juice, it was mixed in a new 55 gallon plastic trash can with a plastic trash bag as a liner. Ours included Everclear (95% grain alcohol) as well as the other ones listed here. We also added chunks of fresh fruit. We had a long handled ladle for when it got down toward the bottom. Don't worry about it being food safe. It had enough alcohol content that wasn't an issue. It was basically 'stupid in a cup'. One Solo cup of it was enough unless one didn't actually want to remember the party.
Yay! You guys did the Duck Fart! I suggested it some time last year (others may have too). It’s said to have been “invented” at Coldfoot Camp truck stop in northern Alaska. My mom learned about them when she worked there years ago. You even layered the shots ❤️❤️❤️
So most of these are more like mixed drinks that have had the recipe goofed in such a way that they're only tolerable if it's served as a shot.
The Jungle Juice and the Duck Farts could be a very compelling cocktail, though the proportions would have to be looked at.

True , (authentic) jungle juice is mixed in a new, clean & washed trashcan and served in a red solo cup.
The Jungle Juice we used to make had Everclear and 151 Rum in it, back in the day. Some powerful stuff.

Back in the day when I was in college, we used to make this stuff we called "windshield washer fluid."
It was a bottle of Blue Maui, a bottle of cheap Vodka, a bottle of Mountain Dew or 7up, or Squirt, whatever was cheap, and then we'd dump in some everclear to really give it a kick.
We'd mix that all up in one of those big orange Job site Igloo water coolers...

Jungle Juice is one of those drinks that everyone makes differently, when I was in school it mainly consisted of fruit punch and everclear (with other stuff too).
Here's one for Sean! The UTI - or Urinary Tract Infection. Fill the shot glass with the brightest yellow apple juice you can find. Splash in some Creme de Menthe and let it sink to the bottom. Then from a plastic bottle that can squirt, add two squirts of bright red Sriracha sauce. Don't stir. Just let the red strings hang in the yellow liquid with the green glob at the bottom!
LMAO y'all young'uns. Jungle Juice isn't a shot, it was a drink. AND it was done in a brand new, "maybe pre washed" Garbage can. Everyone needed to bring a bottle of whatever Alcohol (not wine or beer) and the "host" added the juices. They also provided disposable plastic big cups, think red solo big cups, and ice. You just put your cup in the mix and drank. Had a bonfire, cranked the music up and "hoped" everyone got home safe. Mostly everyone passed out where ever you were. Usually in a field or if parents left for the weekend then it was the back yard or where ever they could lay down.

I think they mentioned on the show Deadliest Catch once that the Ship Captains go to a certain bar and have at least one round of Duck Farts b4 they head out.

1 gallon Everclear grain alcohol (190 proof in the freezer for hours before you mix) - pour the whole chilled thing into a punch bowl.
Add 3 cans frozen Welch's grape juice concentrate.
Call an ambulance.
I’ll introduce y’all to “sweetarts” two liter orange soda dump that soda out to the top label maybe more your preference, pour vodka (preferably cheap vodka) not all the way to the top of the two liter but some, then add black cherry koolaid powder and blue raspberry powder packets in, be slow about it cause it’ll over flow. And the mixture will be black or dark purple but taste like sweetarts candy! It’s a weird drunk and that’s how we did it!

The shots we had in college were straight shots or Kamikaze. Shots were usually tequila, rum, gin, vodka, Jack Daniels, or Jagermeister (when we could afford it).

When we used to make Jungle Juice we would use Hawaiian Punch Sprite and Everclear grain alcohol with fruit in it.

Celery has glutamates and nitrates in it. It gives it a bit of a savory flavor. Especially if used with salt. Justine was right to call you out on it.

See now when I think of jungle juice. You get the biggest vessel you can find. Everyone brings a bottle dumps it in someone brings juice and someone else brings fruit and it’s a massive ghetto sangria/Long Island vibe you dunk red solo cups in.
You forgot the fresh cut fruit in the Jungle juice. I first had it at my supervisors house party in spain.
I didn't taste any alcohol in his. It was tasted like a reddish fruit drink and sangria.

We did something similar to jungle juice.. we called it soup. Vodka, rum, Hawaiian punch, sprite, and everclear. Other people had other recipes but that's the jist of it.
The latest US college drinking trend is BORGs, or BlackOut Rage Gallons. Take a 1 gallon plastic milk jug, then mix a half gallon of water, a fifth gallon of vodka, a flavored drink mix (Kool-Aid, Crystal Light, MiO, etc), and an electrolyte mix (Pedialyte, Liquid I.V., etc). Became a thing in late 2022 with GenZ and the TikTok crowd, and there are different "recipes".

The "jungle juice" that we did in socal back in the late 2000's was a open large cooler by the door usually on top of a stool and it was a mandatory to bring liquid to enter the party and when you when you get to the party you open up and dump whatever you brought into the cooler and then you got handed a cup, you fill it up and that's the jungle juice. You never know wtf it is, kids stealing random bottlea from their parents or the store, and then the poorer but smart kids show up with a 99cent can of Arizona etc

Oh no! Not the Duck Fart! That’s a shot that you give to someone who you’re really not a fan of. The combination of Bailey’s and whiskey makes the Bailey’s curdle in either your stomach or in the glass. Either way, you’re gonna be feeling pretty sick once that shot hits the gut. Definitely a “college” revenge shot.
We always went for a good old Washington Apple:
Crown Royal
Sour apple schnapps
Cranberry juice
splash of club soda
