aizen Cruz Thanks for all your comments dude!! Working on paying off debt so videos are limited haha. Got some videos on how to rebuild brake calipers and also how to respray your wheels 😊
I would like to ask your opinion as my mechanic is doing a simple overhaul on our rb26 (just conrod and main bearing replacement) as our goal is to keep the car as stock as possible. The plan was to fit Tomei cylinder head studs while retaining the original pistons it came with (so we don't need to bore the block if we were to change pistons). However the mechanic decided not to fit the Tomei head studs and retain back the original head bolts. His reasoning was that the Tomei head studs instructions was that the block needed to be checked as it may go "oval" with a dummy cylinder head when torque down with the Tomei head studs and torque value. Hence my mechanic wasn't willing to take chances. Does this make sense at all especially sine the original pistons and rings are being retained , our goals limited to everything stock (stock exhaust, boost etc.), and I thought it should be even more reliable with the Tomei head studs. All this because we don't have access to a machine shop with the right clyinder dummy head/ torque plate. Like to hear your opinions as I realised even arp doesn't mentioned this in the instructions manual. My mechanic won't budge on this matter.
Could you tell me the parts you put / improvements that you put on the head of the cylinder? In the video I do not know what you are saying, in writing it would be better, thank you.
David garcía The cylinder head is standard. Camshaft are standard, cam gears and calves standard. Hasn’t been ported at all. Just pressure tested, faced, new valve guides and stem seals, cleaned, machined valves and valve seats and had been reshimmed. That’s it. Still not running because I’ve been investing into bitcoin 💰📈

So do I need a rb30 block and rb26 head to do all this?
