Would any manual exposure settings be possible using the raspberry pi camera? I understand aperture is probably not a choice, but perhaps shutter speed and iso, to at least have some creative control?
I had a project some time back that I'd love to hear/see your take on. Business owner buys 6 digital picture frames to inset into a wall to display the same ads on an off set rotation so the screens are not displaying the same ad the same time. The screens take input through either a SD card or USB storage device. Given what I had at my disposal and that the plan was the screens wouldn't be accessible once the wall was closed I simply extended the female jacks of each to a makeshift hub to input multiple USB sticks. Ads we updated frequently and the process was tedious. It's not my problem these days but I often think about the idea for a peripheral that would let you plug one storage device into them all and be be simultaneously accesses by them all. I know the smarter Idea would have been to not use silly picture frames but the idea of a standalone USB splitter? repeater? multiplier? whatever, it just seems like a unique puzzle to solve and could evolve into other interesting applications. So to simplify, 1 USB drive acting as though connected to 6 digital picture frames
Few things on the visual design: 1. The sliding to the left transition is great, but in this video, it seems too repetitive. I think you need to add some more transitions. 2. The TV at the end, showcasing one of your earlier videos looks a bit strange when the video is cropped like that. Not sure what it is, but it's definitely strange. :) Other than that, I do like your new visual design. :)
That is so far the best video I've seen on this channel, and I've been here a while! Love the partly-new style including the jokes ;) For some reason the video looks more HD than normal too!
How did you get the TFT to just work with the Pi Zero? I have the Adafruit 1.8" SPI TFT display and followed the instructions, but the display just will not work. The only thing I was able to get it to do was to turn the backlight on and off. Do I need the ST7735 driver? If so, how would I install it? I find the RaspberryPi platform very frustrating when it comes to interfacing with SPI hardware. I2C, no problem.

(that was the motor)(but i didnt run te car long tha was a bit of time) So when i plug the battery in the car the red led glows. usaly it didnt glow when i pluget it in. About the battery: When i first recive it, i Pluged it into the charger. Maybe that efected it? Please Help! My Rc cars name is: Desert Eagle 3 1:12 Scale. how about complex project from 7 series let me direct it:) would like to build simple car radio/player 1step power circuit for powering all components 2 amplifier ic or alternatyve chip with controllable freq bands(low/mid/high) 3 potentiometers for control 3step raspbery pi as brain of additional buttond for controlls on/off volume all this magic. usb/sd/microsd(aux optional) as input for music suorce. 4part software for music playing selecting and etc 5 digital radio optional 6pcb/case modeling 7testing in this series you could show how tech are born
Someone needs to make a digital mod for old film cameras that allow use of the old lenses. Just an insert that fits in the camera body and works with the camera's existing functions.
I would like to see you do something similar with an old time radio and repurpose the case as an Internet radio, maybe add in some LEDs to make the inside light up and also use some of the old switches again. I don't know, go crazy with it and see what happens.
This is true for many twin lens cameras, but there exist 35 mm TLR cameras, too. The camera in the video is from a diy set with 35 mm. I build such an analogue camera from a set myself. It is definitely 35 mm.

You're more than welcome to add one. My final code doesn't have a filter, but it's really easy to add using SimpleCV

TLR or Twin Lens Reflex cameras are 120 medium format cameras, not 35mm one.

It's hard to stay in focus when you're the only one controlling the camera and you have to stay in front of it.
