Thanks for posting your technique with the tape on the left edges. I bought the letters but was discouraged due to lining them up. After watching this I have some more confidence. Thanks. Oh and I bought the Amazon set LOL but I'm replacing the silver letters with new silver ones so hopefully it won't be as noticeable. Great work, and sweet Range! 👍
I've got the exact same car, 2014 Corris Grey Supercharged Dynamic. The original emblems on the front and back were faded due to the sun so I ordered a matt black set from Amazon, great quality as they are solid metal and they look great. Only cost $117 and I used your video to install. Land Rover wanted $600 to swap out the emblems..
Love the tutorial. By far the most detailed tutorial on RUclips. I got the same RRS 2016, same colour as well. Would love to see how your RRS looks right now. What mods you have done, what you plan to do, etc.
Great job considering you did not have the OEM curved template. I bought the oem part and it cost me over $240 for the set. Getting this right is an OCD nightmare. Even the OEM set are very well made and fit into a curved template. Then you peel the back off and expose all the adhesive at once. then you lay the template down from above into position. You have to take all measurements of the original ones before any of this can be done. Def not a 25 min job for most. More like a 2 hour to 3 hour job for most to get it right, you were lucky getting the glue off the old letters , most require an erasure wheel to get it all off then a buff and polish then wipe down with alcohol wipe prior to adhesion of new letters. Personally I would have loved to NOT have to have replaced mine ,but they were worn from years in the sun and being hit by bits and pieces of the road. I reckon in the factory they have a purpose built jig that fits the bonnet as my OEM template has cut outs in them. They fit the jig, place the template in place remove the adhesive backing and its on in about 10 minutes probably. Good work, nice job considering many do not realise the letters curve and most aftermarket kits are not curved.
HI there, Are you the one selling the air ducts on Ebay? If so please let me know I\m very interested but not so keen on getting screwed by ebay.. Thanks

That would give me so much anxiety and OCD taking the OG letters off.

Hi,you could have marked the blue tape with a pencil as to where the letters were positioned,Chris
Can you post the link for the eBay one ? Lol saved me from buying the Amazon version
Always give it a heat gun to warm them up unless you doing it in AZ in July... LOL
Great video! Thank you
$12 can of black plastidip. I did yellow letters front and back as well as some trim. Not committed to the color as it can be removed as well.
Which site on ebay, did you get the lettering from?
