There is a new emerging type of transport that offers the stability, safety and riding comfort of a car, but lightness, agility and speed of a motorcycle. It is called a three-wheeler transport and it has lots of applications in modern urban areas. Obviously, electric vehicles couldn’t pass on these advantages and their ranks already include a bunch of worthy models. So here we would like to give a video overview of the best electric three-wheelers of today including both tricycles and three-wheeled cars.
These are produced by companies that are located in the United States, Europe and Asia, so everyone will be able to source a locally available model (if you are in the mood of buying one of these, of course!).

I like a lot of these, but why do they have to load them up with a bunch of stuff that draws down battery. I don’t need WiFi , just stereo with Bluetooth. I like the one with solar panels that give back up to 24 miles a day. I’d never have to plug it in.

I was looking into some of these today (12/30/2021) and just putzing around I decided to read an online manual for one of those Canadian Electra Meccanica Solo's. Here's a quote from pg.2-2 of the owner's manual:
"Your SOLO is more likely than a 4-wheel vehicle to lose control on slippery surfaces. Do not operate your SOLO on snowy or icy roads."
No joke. Kind of underhanded, ya think...eh? o.O
I guess I shouldn’t have been driving my 3 wheeled Arcimoto in snow and slush. 🙄 (I preferred the Arcimoto over my AWD Impreza with snow tires). Ice? I probably wouldn’t drive either.

The Sondors EV has ben coming for about 3 years now so i think it will never arrive. Sad because it looks great.
I do love my Carver but I wish it were faster. The AKO Trike is where I'd bet my money but wish is was a little smaller...
Most of the vehicles shown you say "will be" "plan to introduce" etc. Then you say "does get a speed" on a vehicle that is shown only as concept. Where are the trikes from the world's largest producer of street trikes? ZEV Electric. Corporate name Z Electric Vehicle Corp. How do you miss a company with 7 models on their website and sales over 35,000 a year pre virus?

I have an electric bike that has a range of 1,000 MI and a top speed of 200 per hour it is currently exists as a sketch on the back of a napkin so it is in development
In 2022 I looked all of these. None are available. Going to buy a gas powered one which at least saves gas until they are.
@@aguyfromnothere if you are actually going to buy a gas one, be careful whom you borrowed from. I know some people bought them from China and they're fine until they break. It is impossible to get parts from them

my question is are any of them on the road already , the reason i ask is the department of transportation in ontario canada still doesnt know how to classify a scooter when i bought one couple of years ago. i love some of these ones.

Yeah I could even afford that one it would be good just going around town to the grocery store or wherever you needed to go. But the one that has four different battery sizes it starts at 25,000 that's real aerodynamic I forget the name of it that's the one I'd really like the biggest battery that gets a thousand miles per charge but I think it jumps up from 25,000 for the 250 mi range battery to I think close to 38,000 bucks for the thousand mile range per charge.

Please update your video as Nobe and Sondors have basically ceased to exist, the Edison is discontinued, the Aptera, Avvenire Spiritus are still months - at least - from production if they ever get there, and Solo ceased production. At this point, I am hoping the Nimbus gets made. The Microlina is in production in Europe, but they do not have a version they can sell in the U.S. yet. I am not rooting against any of these companies, but 2 years later very little is available in this vehicle type.

All of these are pipe dreams that continue to promise production and never do. I hope I am wrong, and if so, I might buy one when I can go to a store and pick one up.

all the 3 wheelers here that had a front end that looks like a car is better off with adding a fourth wheel cause it all looks awful. wise the others that don't look like cars are all beautiful and will definitely see very long life span ....
The 3 wheel cars were not made because they were trying to improve looks ya ding bat. Its purpose is to be more efficient and economical.

The ideal design for three wheelers is having wide front stance with narrow rear stance due to unstable emergency stop control. The evidence is with halted A.T.V. Honda trikes.

The Carver cargo....great look & design BUT...I have a 1985 Honda gyroS (tg50). ($600- used)Why would I give up the 36 year old gas model I've had for 30 years that can do way better then a brand new electric model I can't use because of fast battery drain,short running times & long charging times... plus with one modification makes mine go 10 miles fast. Without any safety issues or regulatory violations...still street legal ,no plates needed.....all day long RIDING. not 5 hours at a time... prove me wrong...I'll buy 2 one in each color...this vehicle cant do a full day of up to 250 miles of delivery travel in a 10 hour per day, 5 days a week schedule. It's limited to close area travel 20 square.miles at best.. which makes it too over priced for productive cost effective use...make one in gas... other then the electric motor... great design.. but I'd buy one if it had a 49 cc gas or propane engine...

Just to be fair, the Carver is much more on equal footing as a econbox car. Where as the Honda Gyro is a diminutive scooter of which there are far better designs offered today.
@nelsonphilip4520 still no available vehicle useful enough to replace the gyro or canopy style ... style means nothing if the product not on general market..
quite funny if you compare with electric cars from China, they already have 100 models on the market with a lot of driving range most european and us car are still in concept and overpriced.price in china is minimum 5000dollar.

To me, most are really ugly and I don't see them working out. The ones that I do like are the Daymak and the Vanderhall.

Do we seriously need 100+HP vehicles? Surely the main point of moving towards EVs is to lessen our impact on our beleaguered planet.. Shouldn't we be looking to limit personal travel to local transportation only and invest the frankly obscene amount of money currently frittered away on lavish, overpowered ICE cars on efficient rail networks? If we allow EVs to become status symbols or expensive, thrill seeking toys our chance to progress to a less destructive and fairer way of living will be surely be lost? Just a thought..

@@Datacube I just feel the 'need for speed' is missing the point... If development was based on 'real world' parameters rather than 'fit for the racetrack' I believe progress would be quicker. Making vehicles with crazy 0-60 acceleration and 100mph+ top speeds might well appeal to the folk who currently feel they need cars with 300+ HP, but what we really need is affordable transport, not rich people's toys.

As for everything else you said, do you do anything other than force your beliefs on others in the most austere way possible? Haven't you heard of the sun and the north wind? Iet them have some fun.

OK; lets get technical - there is no such thing as a 3 wheel car anymore ; at least in the USA all 3 wheel vehicles are motorcycles. 3 Wheelers of "today" should not include vehicles that you can't buy today like the Aptera, Storm Saunders and Daymak - which are close to total fiction - zero delivered in 2021. So cut them out and say 7 3 wheelers of today.

Electric powered vehicles are a waste of money and resources, and very dangerous as batteries can explode. Scrapping one of these vehicles also poses an environmental nightmare. Mining for the minerals to produce these batteries also destroys our land....
I live where there is snow and sub zero temperatures , betcha running Electric heat kills 80% of the posted milage...another reason I will NEVER buy an electric vehicle.
