San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico is founded in 1521 by Juan Ponce de León, who named it City of Puerto Rico ("Rich Port"). in 1493 Christopher Columbus landed in Puerto Rico. He named the island "San Juan Bautista", in honor of John the Baptist. But was not until 1508, that the Spanish government appointed Juan Ponce de León as the first governor of the island. During the early 16th century, San Juan was the point of departure of Spanish expeditions to charter or settle unknown parts of the New World.
Old San Juan includes more than 400 carefully restored 16th- and 17th-century Spanish colonial b
uildings.
The Luis Muñoz Rivera Park is an spacious ocean side park with large trees, landscape gardens and wide walks, located on Jesús T. Piñero Avenue.

San Juan de Puerto Rico es preciosa y se parece mucho al casco antiguo de las Canarias o de Andalucía. Se parecen mucho. Quizá es la zona de América que más se parece a España.

para años 40 al 50 era bien pobre la gente ganaba 1.50 al dia gracia usa los salario comesaron aumentar hasta modernisar las fabrica las autopista. y todo comenso cambiar . otra gente quire que seamos cuba o venezuela ó nícaragua o bolivia somos un pais supermoderno gracia estados unidos que invierte puerto rico igual que en israel.

No, it is not kai-yeh. As to "calleh" it depends on how you pronounce that. You do not have the "elle" sound in English.
