That figures because ed Sheeran isn't solid either,. sounds great though
I see a lot of negative comments about this range of guitars but I can't help think that many of these are more to do with the fact that a certain "pop star" has his name stamped along the headstock than anything else. I'm not into some of his music but there's no doubt in my mind that Ed Sheeran is one of the most talented musicians to come out of the modern era. I wouldn't mind being able to sing and play guitar as well as he does. From what I've seen, he seems to be a thoroughly nice bloke too.
It's simply wrong to expect a sub £1000 guitar to be as beautifully put together and sound as good as one costing three or four times as much - the whole build process will be different and they still have to make it viable in business terms. I also find comparing them to other guitar brands is a bit like trying to compare an apple to an orange. A Martin sounds different to a Taylor which sounds different to a Lowden. They each have their own unique sonic characteristics and its why we, as individuals, will prefer one to the other.
Now, I will confess that if they were branded "Kanye by Lowden", I'd probably be joining in with the criticism... 🙂

You've hit the nail on the head, Mr. Carter. Lowden makes some incredible acoustic guitars, and we take pride in being the #1 Lowden Dealer in the United States. When they teamed up with someone who has reached so many people around the globe, there will indeed be instant criticism, but in doing so, they were able to broaden their reach, not only to a new demographic, but a new budget as well.

How to damage a great reputation, use ed Sheerans name, oh no,.I love.lowdens but ed Sheeran????? He will wear out the second and third frets with his repertoire of 4 chords
