Hi Dereck! Thanks for you react on Slimane. You could see his first performance during the blind auditions during the fifth season of The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix on TF1 (first channel) in February 2016.
He made the 4 coaches return, captivated by his "reinterpretation". That day, his family was there (his brother and sister), but also a friend who was behind the scenes with the presenter.
This song will win him in the final on May 14, 2016.
He reinterprets this song in his own way, with a deeper voice, in a more "slammed" version and making some changes in the lyrics.
He "feminizes" the song as well as the story, retelling it in his own way, while giving it an infinitely more masculine style.
He had already posted a video in November 2014 filmed in black and white where he interpreted this title with one of his composer friends, seen 65 million times!
This is a cover of Vitaa's song released in 2007 and which has since become a great French RNB classic, whose album of the same name sold 456,000 copies and was certified platinum, ranking no. .1 sales.

Ouf! C'est Slimane seul. J'ai crains en voyant le titre de la vidéo. J'ai découvert la beauté de ce texte grâce à l'interprétation de Slimane, lors de "The Voice" car, j'étais complétement passée à coté, lors de sa sortie vu que je ne supporte pas la voix de Vitaa. I discovered the beauty of this text thanks to the interpretation of Slimane, during "The Voice" because, I had completely missed it, when it came out since I can't stand Vitaa's voice. Je regrette que depuis un certain temps on ne propose à Dereck que de la variété très médiocre des années 90 à aujourd'hui. Il y a tant à découvrir ou redécouvrir. C'est vraiment vraiment dommage. Je suis atterrée de voir Winter ou Vitaa...
