- Rappa's addition to Star Rail gave us our 8th Erudition character, which seemed like a huge help for our fight against SAM. However, in the previous episode we realized that it still would not be an easy task. But right after that episode went up, I was motivated to go back, and give it some more tries...
Honkai: Star Rail is a game that heavily encourages the use of a well-rounded team. You should have a support character, a healer / shielder, some DPS, etc. So instead of doing that, I'm trying to play through the whole game using only erudition characters. A path that has no healers OR shielders, as well as very few buffers.
Is it possible to beat the content of Honkai: Star Rail with ONLY Erudition Characters? That means the story, forgotten hall, simulated universe, etc.

A little tip that might help with the Aventurine Boss Fight. Don't be afraid of saving and using your ultimate on the dice. When you win the dice roll you get full energy back - which could also help you build up Lightning Lord stacks too.
That’s totally what I even did on my alt! Bringing pela and saving her ult until the dice! (especially because skill point sharing can be so hard, notably during the second phase dice)
you know, if you go to the area of Divergent Universe there is a shop right next to it which gives you 5 ice creams so you can get 6 in a day.
I don’t think that npc appears until u beat the story there

A little tip for the divergent universe, if you want to easily progress through the universe always choose the blue domains rather than the fight domains because personally (being bad at the game) it's easier to get more buffs and curios in those domains and will always boost your chances to win against the boss

New erudition only episode? Yes please
Serval actually hard carried my fight against Aventurine! If you have her at E1+, she earns you a skill point during the second phase dice rolls because she can hit multiple targets with her basic attack. This can help your skill point issue of other characters needing one to pass their own dice roll. On top of that, she eats away at his toughness because she's lightning and he's weak to that. Maybe try replacing Rappa with her and see if that gets you any further?

A tip when fighting Aventurine use your ult on the dice if u don't have enough skill points or didn't get a high enough number because if you win the dice roll thingy it will give your ult anyways so might as well use it Especially for jing yuan so he gets more stacks for lighting lord
In case you want to revisit WuWa Swords Only, Camellya, an amazing 5 star Havoc sword DPS, just was released, and with your guaranteed 50-50 win and high pity, getting her should be easy!

Wow, Sam finally Surrendered. That was a big hurdle for this account, but Dazzling Ninjistu saved the day!
Adventurine is tough, but one helpful tip is to not be afraid to use Ultimates (even despite the energy reduction attack) because the successful dice rolls gives you full energy.
Also, the music event is definitely Rhythm Heaven for sure. Interesting to hear your reviews of all the songs.

This video brings back memories since I didn't have a healer when I got to this point in the story (I refused to use Natasha). I only managed to defeat Aventurine after I luckily managed to get Boothill on my first ten pull and Fu Xuan on a second ten pull. My first healer, Gallagher, was only obtained after I completed the whole main story quest.

Omg, same, I refused to use natasha, my team was formed from March 7th and fire MC as my only sustaine, my strategy was surviving, it tooked me 2 hours becs I was doing 0%-1% of his health bar each turn. I have also did not use any 5 stars becs I didn't have and wanted to save
I refused to use Nat, but ive been playing since the beginning so ive used Loucha to get me through everything. He may not be meta, but hes all I got haha

Sometimes, I don't understand Javas mentality/thought process💀 for what we saw(since we don't know what the results of his testing were) the team with herta got to deep into the second phase compared to the team with jade. Jade does make the team more SP positive on the dice roll phase but we also saw he used sp when it wasn't really necessary with argenti. So I feel like with herta you can still be somewhat sp positive if you just play it right. Idk in my head it seems more useful to use herta, especially since he's still using rappa just for the break, herta could definitely help with that and maybe even freeze Adventurine if he gets lucky since a lot of these battles are dependent on breaking the boss to delay their action and survivability. Just my opinion to Java tho love him, I just have a hard time understanding what's he's trying to go for.

I tried numerous attempts with different teams, and the one where we made it the furthest (the one I think you're referring to) we had food buffs up as well. I kept running it without buffs (so I wouldn't just waste them) and swapping up the team after a couple attempts each time to find which team seemed to most consistently get the furthest. Honestly, there didn't seem to be too large of a difference between a lot of them, as the rng mechanic of the fight proved to be the larger determining factor
@JavaTheCup yeah that's why I'm saying from what we saw as viewers, I think the herta team performed the best. Now If you're testing showed that another team did better or did the same, I 100% believe you bcs there's no reason for you to lie, lol. Like, I know you have a strategy bcs other wise battles like these would be impossible. Sometimes, it's just hard to see the vision. I feel like often times you play into this persona of not knowing what's going on, but it's obvious that you do put a lot of thought, care, and effort into these challenges. So I'm looking foward to whay you come up with to beat this battle. Love you Java ❤️
@suffering9481 I don't think that's necessarily true. If he was just trying to Brute force it, then he would think about which food buffs would be the best, or he wouldn't have thought about making himeko a tank for the meme fight. He also acknowledged that Jade wasn't the best for these single target bosses, so if he's using her, it's because he wants to and/or thinks she's the best option. Imo he puts a lot of thought into these fights bcs if he didn't, a lot of these would be outright impossible with the amount of health they have and dmg they do.

I do think making your Jing Yuan faster would improve his performance! Pretty sure it’s recommended to have him at 110+ speed

Unironically Erudition might be the best path to have picked specifically because of the Aventurine fight's Dice mechanics lol. If only there was a way to heal or shield too.

It pains me to see jingyuan having so much crit especially in account to his trace increasing his crit rate for 2 turns when he uses his skill
Tip for Divergent Universe (aka how I play)
Choose the start that gives you 6 blessings.
Try to get as many cosmic fragments as possible.
Avoid combat and encounter domains if possible. (Encounter domains are genuinely awful...)
If you get trash blessings or equations, just respec them at bosses.
The only real RNG is curios, so I recommend just playing those safe.
Getting a good 3★ equation and completing it is all you need to get an OP save file.
If you screw up massively, just try again.
IMO this is the most effective strategy after quite a bit of testing. As long as you can keep up with the curios needed (which isn't a lot), you'll be fine. In my most recent runs I actually got way more blessings and cosmic fragments than I even needed.
You should rlly get to the rappa story quest (trailblaze continuance) it’s after the penacony main quest and I would LOVE to see your reaction to the cutscenes

People who keeps giving advice that nobody asks for, i hope u know ur very annoying, dont backseat, let the man play however he plays and just watch him do trial and error. Dont backseat, just only answer when it is questioned. Some people just want to watch their own progress and how to play the game based on their understanding, its more fun that way

If Jade has someone as a dept collector during the dice phase, and her follow-up activates, that does count towards her total roll. I know it does drain health, but it could be useful. Also, she can make herself the dept collector, and it won't drain health, but won't boost her speed either.
