That scene of the rumbling at the end, with the og "ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn" soundtrack, was both beautiful and terrifying. These 13 weeks have definitely been huge for you guys so I’ll just say congratulations on a successful season, everyone has their opinions but you guys were unmatched for reactions
The thing people forgot or just don't want to accept, is that Eren was screaming for help, in finding an alternate solution ever since he kissed Historia's hand. He waited for so long cause its not like he wanted Rumbling to begin with. It's because he waited till a single one proposed a viable solution, last season he asked Armin if theres other options while they were practice shooting after capturing first Marleyan fleet, He asked and told Hange give me an alternate solution when he was in a cell, we can see how frustrated and helpless he feels knowing the future while finding an alternative solution to stop it, they talked about peace talks as an option, he ended up trusting them and waited till that moment, and he then knew, peace was never an option in the current system. Peace talks was not an option if not everyone is willing to. And considering he sees the future, his question to Mikasa was both a confirmation that what his future self did was happening as what he saw and to have reasons to see if the future can be changed. No one was able to give this young adult a concrete answer, solution, alternative. He knows what he's doing is wrong. From the opening and ending of the season: "I never wanted to grab the knife" "This world is cruel but i still love you" "Even if i sacrfice everything, i will protect you" "Don't doubt if its a mistake, correctnes means believing in yourself".😔
My personal favorite AOT episode. This has everything you could ask for like: Massive Titans, answering big questions, amazing animated action, godlike soundtrack, wholesome moments, pure AOT depression, and THAT ending scene. The cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers.
This episode really showcased just how much of a tragic and complex character Eren truly is. After seeing his dad memories, he made his mind clear on ONE thing that the people on the other side of the sea were his enemies who were willing to take away his freedom so killing all of his "enemies" was therefore the only logical way to resolve this issue (the issue of not only his and the freedom of Paradis Island on stake but also of the cycle of hatred between the Eldians and the world). It was only after he went there to Marley with everyone else is when he realised that on the other side of the sea, there were indeed MANY innocent people living there lives who had nothing to do with the hatred between Eldians and the entire world. That's why he was so fazed out, that's why he cried when he saw the sight of that refugee camp (it reminded him of the conditions his people on Paradis suffered when the walls were breached) because all these people who again had nothing to the conflict between Eldians and the enitre world were going to get killed in a horrifying way by Eren through the Rumbling. One more important thing by this point is that Eren by this time was still trying to ignore the future he saw in his dad's memories after kissing Historia's hand. All those horrific things he saw his future self doing in those memories messed up his mind so much that he was desperately trying to look for an alternative way to resolve this whole issue (which I've mentioned previously above) without initiating his "Rumbling" plan. This is why he asked Mikasa what he meant to her hoping her answer (any answer Mikasa would've given apart from "You're family" because he SAW that response Mikasa would give in those memories) would give him a way out from going through that horrific path he saw in his memories. It was until he realised after a while that everything was playing out EXACTLY as it did in his dad's memories. That horrifying realisation that no matter what other path or action Eren would take, he will keep going down that ONE path he saw in those memories. The path which was leading him to his "freedom". The path which kept on telling him to "keep moving forward" to see the final outcome. The path which Eren didn't plan on to take but HAD to take for the sake of achieving that "freedom" he always wished to achieve. Side note, that last entire scene of the rumbling finally on the mainland is so terrifying yet epic at the same time. The visuals, animation and OST's make it so much better thaj how that whole scene playedmput in the manga. So some serious props to Mappa for giving us such a deep, intense and emotional finale.

Sorry for my terrible English. The attack titan = shingeki no kyojin =進撃の巨人 「進撃」means advancing/charging in the context of a battle rather than attacking specifically, so the nuance is lost in the translation. There isn't much that the translators could've done unfortunately. The "Charging Titan" doesn't sound nearly as good as the "Attack Titan", and it doesn't have the broader meaning that the Japanese word does unfortunately 「の」 means of, 「巨人」 means titan But attack is usually 「攻撃」 not 「進撃」 in Japan. 「攻撃」, 「進撃」 and 「巨人」 are Chinese characters and have meanings on their own. 「進」 means advance forward, go up, improve, etc. 「攻」 means attack, learn 「撃」 means beating, attacking 「攻撃」 means attack. In Japan the attack titan means kogeki no kyojin, means 「攻撃の巨人」 but the creator, Isayama, chose to name it shingeki no kyojin! It is difficult to translate shingeki no kyojin to English. The name of the Titan and the name of the show is: The titan who attacks to advance forward. That Is the more correct meaning. -J. Eiche --corrections by kuma
「進撃」 is a little closer to advancing/charging in the context of a battle than attacking specifically, so the loss of nuance in the translation is a bit more pronounced. There isn't much that the translators could've done unfortunately. The "Charging Titan" doesn't sound nearly as good as the "Attack Titan", and it doesn't have the broader meaning that the Japanese word does unfortunately. Also, the kanji for 「撃」itself doesn't mean "hit strongly", but rather beating/attacking/defeating. You may be confusing it with 「打」which has the same kunyomi reading.

*Finding out that there will be a third part in 2023 was the best news of the year to me* 🍾 Gonna finally be able to fulfill my goal of watching AOT while in Asia (Korea) AND watch your reactions. Ahh What a blessing 🥂🥹 see you next year
Out of all your Aot Reaction videos, this one's by far the only video where the Manga reader looked like his losing his patience and can't wait for you guys to see it
Eren already knew what Mikasa’s response would be. But he hoped that out of everything he saw in the memories her response would be different. As it would be the only thing that would have made him choose to run away with her. He saw everything in him future memories already. Which is why he was crying when he saw the kid. And why he reacted the way he did when Sasha died. Her death was the thing that proved to him that nothing he did would change what was already set in stone to happen. And also the thing that kept him going forward.
you guys keep saying this but it couldn't be more false. when he touches historia's hand he only gains some of his future memories from the grisha loophole. he sees the memory of him manipulating grisha, the rumbling and some others that haven't been animated yet. this episode literally shows you he's upset over sasha, BECAUSE he's doing all of this so his friends can live a long and happy life.
@@thesaucydon so why was he crying? He even knew when the other guys on his team were going to appear when he asked mikasa that question about how she feels about him. The only way your explanation could be true is the future eren is giving grisha memories to give to current eren. But then they become obselete anyway as grisha dies.
@@lekans7037 if you're asking why he was crying I'm going to assume your anime-only. so you'll get answers in a year. he simply says good timing because they showed up when the guy was inviting them. that's all. it's a very common misconception in the community. if eren knows the ENTIRE future from episode 59, then that would take away so much of his characterization post time skip. its just the rumbling and the memory of taking the founder as of episode 87.
I feel the dude who stood up, the one with the checkered shirt, we manga readers have been waiting for this moment. And it’s absolutely terrifying. The fleet, hearing those cannons go off felt so real to me like if I was there. this episode was just mind blowing. The writer giving us erens perspective, seeing erens flashbacks in the last few seconds just reminds you his pain, rage…
The callback shot of his mom getting eaten with that music when he says "I will exterminate them" was a goosebumps moment...I was like 'you deserve this, Marley'!!!

Love how the manga reader stood up at one moment, knowing what was going to happen… Also I can wait to see the group reaction in part 3, they are gonna lose it in all episodes
I loved watching the manga reader during these reactions. Because you can tell by the subtle eyebrow raises or body langauge that he's thinking, "wow, that was adapted well"
Same here, just over a week after this episode aired due to the hype not dying down. Was definitely worth it for the frustration of waiting to be not as severe as the anime onlys.
My fav part in the reaction is when the manga reader got up and nods his head in approval. You know it’s gonna be lit when even the manga reader gets hyped 🤣🤣
This is the best reaction channel ever. I laugh my ass off everytime you guys yell and get lit. I think about when falco first transformed into the jaw and two homies in the back were dapping eachother up daily
It's insane how much I could feel the forthcoming devastation and enormity of the rumbling, literally sobbing my eyes out rn. There's no way that someone who's been through what Eren's been through would EVER think k1lling millions of innocent people is the answer. He 100% has an ulterior motive and I will always stand by that, but that doesn't deny the fact that what he's doing is horrid and disgusting. Hoping that MAPPA makes the final arc as satisfying as possible in the 3rd part, maybe adding a few details here and there that were not in the manga but would make the story more complete.
Without knowing whats in the manga, you're 100% right. Eren told Historia he will never let children be forced to eat their parents to inherit the Titans, which is impossible as long as theres any Eldians. shrug
@@LordLambertius He could still do a 'version' of Zeke's plan, just by erasing the nine titans from the Eldian paths. Both he and Ymir want to be free, and if the titan powers are passed on, the Paths continue forever and neither one of them can escape. Ymir wants an end to her eternity of servitude. That has to be at least part of what's driving Eren, Ymir has a will of her own now, and she could just be using Eren as a tool to wipe the slate clean and then finally just pass beyond that eternal limbo afterlife. If only Eldians remain, then Eren could easily perform another King Fritz trick and erase everyone's memories of an outside world, erase the titan powers from the bloodline, and there would only be a blissfully ignorant world of baseline humans left. He can't do that if there are other races alive, because he has no control of them through the paths. He absolutely HAS to wipe out every other race if he's going to create a peaceful world by force, and memory erasure.
I like this reaction because it feel good when you gather with friends to do something and for me is watch anime together but I never get this moment before. THX
I must say that this episode n specially the scene with Colossal Titans marching towards marley was TOTALLY better than the manga, the OST, the Colossal Titans, especially the Founding Titan LOOKS so freaking great. Thank you MAPPA for giving us a great final episode~!!
People said Eren was just using Floch. That he didn't care about him. But Floch appears in the shard full of people he cares about and wants to protect. Eren confiding in Historia, the worst girl in the world, and Floch, the man willing to become a Devil to save his people. Fitting. The fandom has this obsession with how Eren is so much of a "Chad" and how he's so cool. But that's just a surface level thing. Character analysis time. Eren is constantly in the pursuit of freedom because of the book Armin showed him. But as Memories Of The Future established, everything that's been set in stone will always happen. The timeline is fixed, meaning no matter what he does, the future is inevitable. In a story with a character so obsessed with freedom and freewill, Eren has no freedom. He has no freewill because his actions have always been decided. It creates this tragic sort of paradox where Eren is stuck chasing something he can never obtain. Like Erwin and all those who fell without achieving their own dreams. Most of the chapters for AOT have this AU at the end of them that have been confirmed as canon. In that world, there are no titans. And Eren has the freedom he's always desired. The result? He's bored out of his mind. And he actually dreams of a huge conflict(zombies) so he can actually have a drive for doing things. But when he finds out it was a dream, he's sad and feels Despair. Eren is a selfish, sad character. He'd prefer conflict over his boring life, and he uses his ideals to justify the things he does. He uses Armin and his book as a roundabout way to cure his boredom, he associates freedom with things but really it's all for him. He says he wants to trample the world for his people, but he's already crushed plenty of his own people when the wall fell and will do plenty more to the Eldians trapped across the world. He uses a selfish goal but masks it under something selfless. Like Reiner. Who wanted to have a happy family(which was selfish), but he told himself it was justified because he'd be saving the world. That's why Eren said he was the same as Reiner. They both fight for themselves but delude themselves into thinking it's for other people or things. And that's why AOT is such a tragic story. Eren asked Mikasa that question to see if she would answer like he knew she would. And once she did, Eren knew the future was set in stone.

can't wait for more reactions in 2023 when the final FINAL part comes out. its been a wild ride with you lot this season

Its crazy when you think of the extreme lengths Eren will go to save his friends; amputating himself, stabbing out his own eye, becoming the world's enemy and crushing everyone. He would literally sacrifice everything for them, his own humanity, and the whole world.
Eren is that ride or die kind of friend lol
and his friend betray him to please the people that tried to kill them.
as a wise ninja once said: "Those Who Break The Rules Are Scum, That's True. But Those Who Abandon Their Friends Are Worse Than Scum."

@@c3p6 you want to wipe my people of the earth, i decide not to let it happen and wipe your people of the earth first. if Eren did not do what he did, he and the rest of the eldians on paradise would be 6 feet under rn. call it genocide or whatever you like. i call it being overpowered and 2 steps ahead in a war that was DECLARED ON YOU. they are trying to please them, showing them how good they are. almost begging marley "look at how good we are behaving, we are even willing to kill the person that did all of this for us for you, so please accept us" is what i'm hearing. he gave the world 3 chances, he hoped for the world not to go according to the future he saw but every time the world failed him. he even went with them all the way to marley to that meeting about eldians in the hope of seeing something different. in the end he had no choice but to walk the path that was made for him.
His main motivation is not his friends, it’s his own selfish need for freedom, he thought the world would be empty and his, but it wasn’t, so wanted to make it so, just like he expected.

The fact that there are so many of them and still remained focused on watching the show while other reaction channels just have 3 people and they can't keep their eyes on the show for more than 3 seconds, smh, then their discussions will be about things that were shown and explained if they just watched🙃
When the manga reader started standing up and smiling LMAO. Everyone looked at him be like "oh it's about to go down isn't it"
The scene with them all drinking and having fun together really tugged at a heart string

I would give anything to have watched AoT the first time through with a big crowd like this. You guys have the best time.
That scene of the rumbling at the end, with the og "ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn" soundtrack, was both beautiful and terrifying. It brings everything full circle; the series began with the fear of one single Colossal Titan instilled into the people of Paradis. Now, Eren is instilling that fear to the whole world with the Colossals, a million times over.
The first words in the lyrics are literally "Is that the destroyer? Or our founder?" (In german)
It's not the og one, it's the newer rendition from s3p2.
@@shonbera5246 but still the lyrics the same as in the og one for the most part
@@shonbera5246 It's actually a newer rendition of the newer rendition if you know what I mean, you would have noticed that there's a creepier beat in the place of the crazy hype drums
I agree, Im in tears when the ost played and then shows the flashback in ep 1 where it all started.

This has everything you could ask for like:
Massive Titans, answering big questions, amazing animated action, godlike soundtrack, wholesome moments, pure AOT depression, and THAT ending scene.

There are 13 years left in the lifespan of those who inherit the Intelligent Titan.
Kings of the Eldian Empire up to the 144th generation.
After Karl Fritz became the 145th king, he had 8 years to inherit the Founding Titan.
His inheritance of the Founding Titan triggers Tha Great Titan War, from which Karl Fritz moves to Paradis Island five years later and builds three Walls.
He spends the remaining 8 years of his life there.
From the 2nd to the 6th generation
The 7th (Uri's father)
The 8th (Uri)
Frida, the 9th generation, is eaten by Grisha in her third year of succession, and Eren inherits the first Titan.
In other words, Eren inherits the first Titan exactly 2,000 years after Founder Yumir gains the power of the Titan.

The guy from the right who just stood up, waited for a long time to see the rumbling arrived at Marley animated. He giggled at the end because he knows everything at the manga. 🤣 He just waited for this to be animated. 😆

Aww yeah. He has to have that feeling that the rest of us have. We want to tell, but can't 🤣
Hahaha. I see bro! 😆
Why do I feel like he wants to tell you all about what happened next in the manga? But he can't. 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry for my terrible English.
The attack titan = shingeki no kyojin =進撃の巨人
「進撃」means advancing/charging in the context of a battle rather than attacking specifically, so the nuance is lost in the translation. There isn't much that the translators could've done unfortunately. The "Charging Titan" doesn't sound nearly as good as the "Attack Titan", and it doesn't have the broader meaning that the Japanese word does unfortunately
「の」 means of, 「巨人」 means titan
But attack is usually 「攻撃」 not 「進撃」 in Japan.
「攻撃」, 「進撃」 and 「巨人」 are Chinese characters and have meanings on their own.
「進」 means advance forward, go up, improve, etc.
「攻」 means attack, learn
「撃」 means beating, attacking
「攻撃」 means attack.
In Japan the attack titan means kogeki no kyojin, means 「攻撃の巨人」
but the creator, Isayama, chose to name it shingeki no kyojin!
It is difficult to translate shingeki no kyojin to English.
The name of the Titan and the name of the show is:
The titan who attacks to advance forward.
That Is the more correct meaning.
-J. Eiche
--corrections by kuma
Only people who know Japanese know the true deepness of attack on Titans name. As well as the connotation of the English translation
Thanks for the translation!
I wonder Isayama lives in which dimension
「進撃」 is a little closer to advancing/charging in the context of a battle than attacking specifically, so the loss of nuance in the translation is a bit more pronounced. There isn't much that the translators could've done unfortunately. The "Charging Titan" doesn't sound nearly as good as the "Attack Titan", and it doesn't have the broader meaning that the Japanese word does unfortunately. Also, the kanji for 「撃」itself doesn't mean "hit strongly", but rather beating/attacking/defeating. You may be confusing it with 「打」which has the same kunyomi reading.

What makes you think that he already knew the answer?
@@sebastianvilla2413 He knew the future
you guys keep saying this but it couldn't be more false. when he touches historia's hand he only gains some of his future memories from the grisha loophole. he sees the memory of him manipulating grisha, the rumbling and some others that haven't been animated yet. this episode literally shows you he's upset over sasha, BECAUSE he's doing all of this so his friends can live a long and happy life.

Literally 💯
These past few months have been absolutely entertaining thanks to you guys! Hope this channel continues to develop
15:28 best part of the episode ❤️❤️ Eren is not selfish , he care about he's friends 🙏
