Flicking through the tracks its amazing to see how much the tracks have changed. I mean look at that woodland part of Hoclenheim. Its so sad to think its gone.
This was one of my first PS1 games. Such an awesome F1 game, arcade mode was really fun as well! And also the best commentary i have heard in a racing game lol especially when he says while crashing oh dear oh dear😂
Man the soundtrack was so hype and gave me more motivation to get a good run. I remember hockenheim was drinving through the long wood where you drove really over 300KMH. That game was bettter than 98 99 and even 2000 IMO plus the nice commentary while playing.
One of the games I had with the PS1 (along with Crash Bandicoot, Spyro and G-Police). Think my disk of this got pretty beaten up as I remember the commentary would insert random German words here and there...
@@susanguy925 i believe it was because he wasn't a member of the drivers association which had recently been turned into a business. i think there were other f1 products in the period that also had to omit JV because the licensing deal was with the GPDA.
как гоншик с немалым стажом на консолях от сони, F1'97 это лучще из серий игр! а, другие года ф1 на пс1 уже были нитакие хорошие по физике управления руля и графике тоже.

Psygnosis was an amazing developer. With beetle enhancement this almost looks like a early Dreamcast game!!
The best is 2000 edition for graphics, this is a bit weird.

A nice touch that is easy to overlook is that they put the date of each grand Prix at the track selection screen
It was awesome for the time... a part of the voice it had the same infographics style as the real TV official transmission

He copyrighted his name/image and so they were required to pull his name and likeness from the final copy.
Maybe controversial, but I actually like the commentary during the race.
If it didn't had any this game would be just another boring F1 game.
I also really like the music, the previous F1 game also had a great soundtrack.

Wtf happened to Adelaide? That’s the main reason this game was special for me. That and the commentary.
I remember they didn't have the rights to Jacques Villeneuve so he had to be Player 1 or whatever.
