This is now my favorite arc in the game - not only that it’s one of my favorite stories in ANY game. What a masterfully created and written story. I’m so sad to see them all go but I am so glad I got to experience it.
"Killing is meaningless. But their deaths must mean something". Really love this sentence of Kalpas. It tells the struggles of those survive from wars but still haunted by losses that stem from it. If wars are meaningless then what was the deaths for?
On August 7th it will be one year since this trailer was released. A year filled with mysteries, with learning, with the story of the Thirteen. This hits so much harder after Chapter 31 Act 1. I hope everyone who plays the game, and gets to know Thirteen will experience this story to its full glory, because, damn, it is indeed beautiful alas it's hard to grasp everything with the way ER works and you need to read files, but it's really cool and I hope you all enjoy it.
You’re for sure right on it hitting hard, it was an amazing story and will stick with me forever. It’s very rare for me to get as attached to every single person as I am for the flame chasers, in these groups of heroes. The honkai devs did them justice.
I like how mihoyo created 3 storylines where each of them discusses a different timeline, one about the past (elysian realm), the present (main story), and the future (APHO)
As a player who never knows about the Honkai lore, this realm is gonna confuse the hell outta me in the next update. It will be like playing this game for the first time.
Remember when we saw kevin and meme sakura in see of quanta when bronya was trying to rescue seele? That bubble universe was the recreation of the past, and this story we're gonna here of takes place before even that

So many subtle hints in this trailer. The opening bgm implies dark events from a dark past, then picks up and slows down appropriately to match each character's theme, and at the very end it becomes clear it's all about Elysia - bgm hits with force when her name appears, but while everyone has their name displayed on a blue background, Elysia's becomes red, indicating there was big change and it wasn't pleasant. Not to mention her description being blank, as opposed to all other Flame Chasers, adding to the mystery. It's actually awesome that there's so much foreshadowing from the moment of the character's debut but it's also completely vague.

More passive role than active imo but it's still important. Ultimately though, like with Himeko, Fu Hua and the others, they all serve one purpose: to advance Kiana's growth as a person and as a Valkyrie, with some challenging her ideals, some challenging her power/ability to save the world, and some reinforcing her resolve to fight for all that's beautiful in the world. The game is, after all, the saga of Kiana Kaslana.

Yeah, I was expecting it to be like the "cool backstory never told" that a bunch of games have. Still guessing it'll stay bits and pieces like what we got in Hua's chapters and (unreliably) in the Sea of Quanta chapters, but I'm looking forward to it anyway.

Despite the hardships she went through, she is still able to mantain her smile, so she definitely is not cold Su: best boi, character with the greatest moral out of all the characters in HI, so far Mobius: uhmm, Mobius I would say is a mad scientist, while she loves to do questionable experiments she never coerce people for it Kalpas: He is well wild and enthusiast(?), while being an introvert and edgy, if you notice he sometimes is quite sweet

we really experienced the best time and didn't know it yet. I don't think I'll ever experience as much hype and love for a live-service game story as I did playing the Elysian Realm chapters as they released. The way this trailer alone foreshadowed Elysia's dialogue from Because of You. The way the event tab was full of Elysia for months. The units that were released. They absolutely amazing story telling. The way it pushed all gears in motion for the finale, especially for Mei. I'll cherish it forever

Because with the number of 13 they will normally try to split them in half but this is 8/5. Who are those 5 and why they are so special?
I think it's the opposite Her CN can be cute when she speaks in cheerful manner, but quite mysterious when greets Mei, while JP is purely seductive. I have no idea how her JP and CN voices could be so contrast, lol In short: JP: Full of ara ara Onee-san vibe CN: Cute but still emanating mysterious vibe at times Ofc, it's just my opinion. Just went back to this trailer and realized something... i know im crazy obsessed with the idea that Elysia became a herrscher before she died, but notice how in Kevin's introduction, Elysia was talking to him while he was facing a pink beam of light. Could that be their final talk before the inevitable happen?

Elysia's number background turns into red, I have always been wondering why, why is elysia's backgroung the only one who turned red? but it all make sense now that it was revealed in the latest chapter the elysia is the 13th herrscher.

Pretty sure she is the original head of the Grey Serpent, the robot was always a puppet, currently Kevin is the leader of it but maybe when Mobius was still alive she was the leader of this faction
Coming from the future with spoilers. She was fundamentally the one with Grey Serpent's group intent and should be the leader, but she never liked boring morale and PR. So she was just the head scientist. Kevin is the one who made it a flat out cult.

Mobius: uhmm, Mobius I would say is a mad scientist, while she loves to do questionable experiments she never coerce people for it
Kalpas: He is well wild and enthusiast(?), while being an introvert and edgy, if you notice he sometimes is quite sweet

we really experienced the best time and didn't know it yet. I don't think I'll ever experience as much hype and love for a live-service game story as I did playing the Elysian Realm chapters as they released. The way this trailer alone foreshadowed Elysia's dialogue from Because of You. The way the event tab was full of Elysia for months. The units that were released. They absolutely amazing story telling. The way it pushed all gears in motion for the finale, especially for Mei. I'll cherish it forever
