When the World is more welcoming than Elysium, you know something is terribly wrong. "Welcome to the World" is nurturing and soothing, while "Welcome to 'Paradise'" is twisted yet intense. The former makes me feel like a toddler in a cradle, gently swaying to the soothing hum of a loving mother's lullaby. The latter is like being forced to swallow a happy pill for days on end, becoming too delirious to ground myself. It makes me feel possessed. If I had to summarise the progression of the soundtrack it would be: I grew up in the World, only to be consumed by Paradise. This contrast is really well done and works excellently with the themes of the animation! 👏
This music represents the type of terror that most horror movies lack. Especially the “Welcome to Paradise” segment. There is nothing outright scary. But, the variation on the more serene themes make it feel corrupted. A silent, slow kill. Not a jumpscare by some creature in the dark, but a dismantling of everything one once held dear by those who stand in the light.
The "welcome to this world" part is too good. I just love how the shimmering high sounds contrast so much with the main chord progression at 1:32 and 2:04. It makes you feel an indescribable emotion, like you just came back from the best dream, and your trying to go back, or at least remember what happened that made you so happy. Like nostalgia for a moment that never existed.
I love the bells(? I'm not good with instruments😭). you've done such an amazing job and the music feels soo intricate and ethereal. kinda reminded me oppenheimer soundtrack!! super cool
and the last part!! how at first it's so dreamy, si majestic and then it suddenly kinda.. drops? in the very end?.. and becomes kinda still if tgat makes sense?(I'm not very knowledgeable with music terminology sadly😅) like the nail in the coffin of the oompa loompas' fates(can't believe i wrote this sentence). it's soosos great. wow.
Thank you so much 🙏🏻 I'm really glad that you enjoyed it. I really like the bell instrument, too. It is one of my favorites from the soundtrack. It provides a mystical, ethereal energy 🌌
Every time I hear "Glinting" to "Welcome To This World", I cry. Is that normal? 😭❤👍🏻 Thank you Diego Leal E.! I hope people realise how good your music is! ❤ "The Arrival" is also very meaningful! 😯
Is it odd that the "welcome to paradise" portion reminds me of final hours from majoras mask? It just captures a building dread and melancholy that simply feels transcendent. I heard this part and subscribed right away, great work!
You are right! I got inspiration from Majora's Mask Final hours. I was able to use the Synth String instrument that Koji Kondo (composer) used in the soundtrack of MM. I really love how it sounds!
It shares a similar chord progression as . A walkdown of i, VII, VI, V which pulls us back to the minor root due to the presence of a tritone in the V dominant 7 chord. Does a great job of creating that unsettling, foreboding feeling iconic of the harmonic minor scale.
The music was a huge part of the whole journey that is that story. (im weird and find music to be like 70% of what i find most important) amazing work man. "welcome to paradise" brought me to some heavy tears it was actually pretty powerful. im gonna check out your other stuff if its anything like this!
Thank you so much, that as a composer is one of the best compliments I can get. I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and it brings something positive today. Welcome to the channel, and thank you for your support!
You truly deserve being named a artist, because what i heard was a true poetry without words. every act of the suite give me a sensation, in my opinion the animation only gained life with the soundtrack. very thanks for that, you have pleased my ears and of many who liked this masterpiece.
I'm here for the "Welcome to this World". I don't know why but i feel like i heard it somewhere, but the memory escapes me. The music makes me feel lost in my own mind trying to remember where i heard it, and oddly calming. Wish you would make a flac of this one track alone, or at least tell me what inspired it because it seems mysteriously nostalgic.
Can you please make a clip of just Welcome to Paradise and Ending? I've tried to clip it, but clips only last for 45 seconds, also the welcome to paradise section gives off so many scavengers reign vibes
Hi! I've been thinking about making videos explaining my working process, but I'm still not sure if it is something that is interesting for my audience. I do offer private teaching, too. Feel free to write me an email if you are interested!
"Welcome to this World" reminds me very much of Philip Glass' "Raising the Sail" from "The Truman Show," which is kind of amazing since the story is the exact opposite and shares much of the symbolism---someone who was brainwashed and kept in an artificial paradise crossing the water to discover the truth.
After hearing your work on the Oompa Loompa video, i had to subscribe, and i don't do that a lot. I am becoming more of a fan of your work. Amazing stuff. Look forward to seeing what the future has in store for you. When are you releasing this on Spotify? I want to play this a ton. Ha
I dont know why, but your music reminds me to "Conquest of Paradise" from Vangelis, but in any case, this music is really great :D (And sorry if my writting is bad, i do not speak english)
Hi! The usual workflow is that the animator finishes the storyboard and timings first. Then, he sends the storyboard to me, and I continue composing the soundtrack. That way, I can perfectly blend the music with the scenes and timings of the animation with less risk of the animator changing timings after I started to work.
An extended version would be amazing! Especially the “welcome to paradise” portion.
Yes, would love to use it for my D&D campaign as an ally gets corrupted and there's nothing the party can do
Absolutely
The whole section starting with "Black Void" to the end of the "Ending" should be its own song.
This, or make it it’s own video 🙏
Black void is best xd, more deep..
I need the "welcome to the Paradise" individual video
SAME
We all do.
I actually like how in 2:43 tribal-sounding drums are being replaced with european military drums, symbolising the colonists arrival.
So nice, someone noticed it! 🙏🏻
@@DiegoLealComposer could this be found in Spotify?

Jumpscares in a horror game is the equivalent of a comedian tickling you to make you laugh
@@YYPOOXO I read tickling as licking and was so confused lol
THE HORROR MOVIE HIRE THIS GUY PLEASE ❤
I especially loved the last part
My favorite part, too

This is perfect in every way. You need to be hired to work on movies man.

Absoloutely 100% amazing work. Captured and enhanced the vibe 10 fold at each stage and with each track. Black void is so hauntingly beautiful.

Your soundtrack really elevated the video animation. Great job!
Black Void and Welcome to Paradise..really feels like being at the end of life and seeing your eyes flash before your eyes.

This reminded me Murray Gold's Shepherd's Boy... with a hint of american mcgee's alice madness returns
So awesome, I'm using this in my pathfinder campaign, I think the players will love the sequence I'm cooking up with it.

Great piece! Can this song be found on Spotify?
I have a question what is the name of the instrument you used in the ending part? it sounds beautiful ang glittery❤
Hi! The bell instrument/patch is called "Fantasy PCM." I really like it too! It resembles the legendary Fantasia patch from the Roland D-50 Synth 🎹
wonderful

On what programs does he make such music?
Hi! For DAW, I used Studio One and a bunch of sample libraries and plugins that I've purchased over the years.
