I'm just glad we could have a story of a bad spouse without dragging infidelity into it. Not every bad spouse is having an affair. Sometimes it seems slapped on as an afterthought.
I actually like the "Fluffy Dovey" nickname, it's cute and really captures her nature. Fluffy like cotton candy and stuffed animals, and I've seen doves are portrayed as assosiated with christianity, implying a symbol of purity. Dove definitely seems very pure of heart, lord only knows how she was friends with that thing.
Sadly some people feel that way. Society sometimes beat you down so to speak if you are unmarried and unable to have kids. Good chance Dove came from a somewhat traditional family who believes women are meant soley for marriage and baby making.
Honestly what makes me sad in many of these stories is when one of the women is infertile or accused of it. And treated as if she will never find love. Being a mother is not the only job / goal of women. And I am glad the op in this story was kind and loving with Dove despite how she thought of herself.
Parents are not always the ones that are always their for their child. It's the parents that will stay by the child and other parent that makes a great parent. At least that is what my stepdad did for us kids even though we were grown up.
IMO Blake shouldn't refer to Dove as Penny's new mom. Please don't get me wrong, I know technically/legally, Melanie is the mom since she gave birth to Penny but she never loved her and was never a mother to her either. She gave up her rights to Penny and left. Dove is her mom since she didn't hesitate to help Blake and she loves and treats Penny the same way most moms treat their daughters. She's been there from the beginning to love, nurture, and protect Penny because Melanie left. That makes Dove her mom, not her new mom.
I can relate to Dove. Overweight, people called me names giving me a complex, being told at age 15 that having kids weren't in the cards (diagnosed with PCOS at that age... I'm now 53 and still childless), So with all that, I never thought I'd get married. Got married 15 years ago to a wonderful man (were together 8 years prior to marriage so 23 years total). It was a first for both of us and he also thought he'd never get married because he didn't have much luck with women (apparently one tried to flirt with him and he was oblivious, another yelled at him in school that "no one would date him if he was the last guy on Earth".).
All's well that ends well, I suppose... Still. There is no way that Melanie wasn't abusing little Penny when Blake wasn't there. And Blake was actually a moron for marrying Melanie in the first place.
Ah, poor Dove. As butt-ugly as I am, I’ve been married 3 times. 2 losers. The 3rd was hard-working, and took over the cooking and helped with housework when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, he died of a pulmonary embolism after 15 years of marriage.
Dove is so aptly named. If she was bi I’d go for her she’s a sweetheart. Her soul is like a flying gorgeous bird like her namesake. Looks don’t matter it’s how your soul is.
Dove learned the truth of the old saying that, sometimes, all things cometh to he(she) who waiteth; Melanie returned to her old "job" as a semi-pro ho and ended up as a broke loser being chased by debt collectors; And Blake, Dove, and Penny were the real winners in this little vignette...with Kaptain Karma's help 😁
I think I saw the real ending for this a week ago. After the girl grew up and got married and called the step mom all kinds of names and didn't invite her to the wedding and the guy divorced her saying he was just used her as a maid and nanny to raise the kid and that he was having an affair.
I was hoping he'd get married to Dove and was so glad he did. She's the mother Penny deserves.

Gotta love how many women put full blame of them having babies on the man yet forget it takes 2
Parents are not always the ones that are always their for their child. It's the parents that will stay by the child and other parent that makes a great parent. At least that is what my stepdad did for us kids even though we were grown up.
Lol. Thats my moms name. But yea, Melanie could've got a job. She wasn't treating her baby right being a stay at home wife
Kitties!
Dam, dove is just like me. I'm not skinny, I'm really ugly, I feel like I'll never have that happiness, u know?
Doesn’t matter how you look on the outside, as long as you’re a beautiful soul on the inside
@@quashietagoe5124 aww, ty
IMO Blake shouldn't refer to Dove as Penny's new mom. Please don't get me wrong, I know technically/legally, Melanie is the mom since she gave birth to Penny but she never loved her and was never a mother to her either. She gave up her rights to Penny and left. Dove is her mom since she didn't hesitate to help Blake and she loves and treats Penny the same way most moms treat their daughters. She's been there from the beginning to love, nurture, and protect Penny because Melanie left. That makes Dove her mom, not her new mom.
12:41 is no one going to talk about the 😮 face
Well at least we know why he lost his job. Melanie!!! Melanie just wants the child to get child support 🤮🤮🤮
So glad you found each other! I wish you every happiness.
Define “a great man”.
All's well that ends well, I suppose...
Still. There is no way that Melanie wasn't abusing little Penny when Blake wasn't there. And Blake was actually a moron for marrying Melanie in the first place.
Dove has gotten the man.
As she should
Ah, poor Dove.
Dove learned the truth of the old saying that, sometimes, all things cometh to he(she) who waiteth;
Melanie returned to her old "job" as a semi-pro ho and ended up as a broke loser being chased by debt collectors;
And Blake, Dove, and Penny were the real winners in this little vignette...with Kaptain Karma's help 😁
I think I saw the real ending for this a week ago. After the girl grew up and got married and called the step mom all kinds of names and didn't invite her to the wedding and the guy divorced her saying he was just used her as a maid and nanny to raise the kid and that he was having an affair.
My family is full of women bitter about having a kid out of expectations on a checklist 😂
They are such harpies about it, it's so funny!
usually when the child is legally adopted there is no support given...as the adoptive parent takes the place of the absent bio parent per say
