You are right, challenges are supposed to be hard. And you take them on because the end result is worth it.
I have loved books for my entire life and I have sold, donated or given away way more than I own. A book collection isn’t just having stuff, it’s a continuously changing expression of your interests, your passions and your personal history.
They take space and they take time and not every one is meant for you to keep forever. Some of passing acquaintances, some are lifelong friends. Some are going to be unrealized potential.

I bet you have heard of it. It's an okay book but it is sort of creepy.

Heritage Press books can make for excellent accent pieces on the shelf and can elevate a collection of vintage paperbacks without sticking out too much, because their design is relatively understated, sometimes verging on drab (I think that's part of the reason why they are so undervalued by sellers and can be bought cheaply). I don't find them too comfortable to read (small hands), so each one that I have has its paperback twin. They deserve more hype, but may not be suitable for modern readers who have a low tolerance for oldschood illustrations that they are quick to dismiss as "too creepy".
