Can you do an updated Video to install TKG again now in 2022? Couldn't fine the TKG load balancer and confused with NSX-T? you made it look so easy and now it's not easy at least for me. Thank you
Lol it is even faster to install a kubernetes cluster within docker desktop by checking the box to start the kubernetes cluster ;-) ... I think it is a nice presentation but Kubernetes is the real value not to enforce its integration with VMWare. Kubernetes has been designed on technologies replacing the hypervisor by using container technologies (docker, containerd, cri-o) . So yes VMWare wants to try to stay in the race, but in few clicks in docker desktop or any Cloud provider a kube cluster is really easy to deploy especially if you have the Terraform script(s) required ! A simple deployment of kube is a piece of cake. An advanced deployment means a lot of other things to think about : security, subnets isolation, region of the kubernetes cluster, backup of the kube objects, webhooks, monitoring, reports, logging ...
This comment is kinda worthless. This video is not about the best way to use or setup Kubernetes. This video is specifically for setting up Kubernetes on VMWare. Of course you have a valid point, but integration with VMWare is also something a lot of corporations are probably looking for and this video is for those people.
Hey Charles, some says tkg can not be installed without VCF 4.0. Is this true? Can you pls do a video on what are different flavors of deploying kubernetes on vshpere. There is something called vshpere pod and project pacific. What are these?? It really confuse me a loy.
Hi Charles, im getting stuck at Creating Management Cluster with error: "Cluster control plane is still being initialized retrying", i tried everything already, do you have an idea of what could it be? Tanzu 1.4 on vSphere 7u2
Thank you Charles, I always thought you need NSX-T and vSAN for Tanzu?! your video make it look easy and straightforward and all you need is vsphere 7.0, am I correct? also if we have NSX-T can we use NSX-T load balancer?
Actually, I installed it on vSphere 6.7. With vSphere 7.0 you have a few additional options which includes NSX-T. Tanzu in itself is a portfolio of products.

Thank you Charles.. short and sweet and to the point video that I needed to understand quickly. Thank you! I'm a subscriber now.
Mind updating this? And maybe explaining the loadbanacer options a bit more and the upgrade paths
Where can the load balancer be downloaded from. It is not on the download page anymore.
is the vcener server the IP of any vm inside vcenter or is there a ip specific to vcenter?

Same here. Real life kubernetes is so much easier to setup.

can't see the tkg load balancer here, is it already updated or tkg can run w/o it? thanks

Tanzu basic and adv is an add-on license top on vSphere 7, it is not bundle with NSX-T or vSAN anymore.
What are all the certification is there for VMware tanzu.
Do i have any way to try out these in my local or server
Super Charles thanks for your video. I need to know about how vmware tanzu works.
Hi Sir, does Tanzu replace PCF ? I got a message in the PCF console saying they reached the EOA... thanks
Pcf is still there but the longer term strategy is all Tanzu. VMware have a migration strategy in place. Best to speak to your local VMware folks
Hi Charles, is DHCP required for this deployment?
