1999, when hard rock and metal flirted with industrial and electronic in the best possible way. The way the video portrays the fashion and party culture of the late 90s really makes you miss it, even if you weren't actively participating in it back then. God I love Filter.
I don't do anything needless but I listen to the short bus and no I don't speed ball I just like working out to that gangster sh!t. I didn't know Trent Reznors music much or that Patrick was playing on his bad but I did hear that one song chics liked to fornicate on and I started feeling like a zoo keeper 😂
The movie had a limited release where I lived (Spokane, WA) so I was able to see it in the theater. I guess we were the test market for it. I heard Eric Mabius and Kristen Dunst were here for the premiere but I never saw them. Testing that movie in Spokane is like having Filter perform at a country music festival.
This was for The Crow Salvation soundtrack which had Fred Ward along with Kirsten Dunst, Eric Mabius along with Walton Goggins Tim DeKay who appeared in the film
Wow!!! I left a comment 11 years ago!!!! Time flies by!!! Now I’m 44 and also speak English (I’m based in 🇨🇴) but I love this song and video really bad!! 😎
Gold. Picked up my youngest from kindy when he was 4 (27 now). They'd had a sing along day. All the kids come out singing nursery rhymes, my boy comes out singing Rammstein.
I like this because we feel this teens, twenties and bitter angry 30’s to learning 40 and I’m still 27 and I feel I’m going nowhere fast- my son’s are talking to me so as I gamble, drink, and repeat, my fortune from a cookie said I was to win a windfall…like I said, I loose and repeat, but the next day my older son said he loved me. The younger, but not far behind FaceTimed me and said he loved me; I won a windfall. Still at red, feeling like green, and I’m super stoked dad!
Great song along with a video filled with Classic American cars such as a 69 Dodge Charger , 67 Oldsmobile Cutlass , 73 Dodge Charger and a 73 Dodge Dart Sport . Sweet !!!!
Man you know something? I’ve been a fan of filter for Y E A R S! Mr Patrick is indeed a passionate male singer obviously. And the best things I believe is a not listened to enough song. Well it’s my personal favorite song on this album! And obliteration? Aside from title of record…It’s just another reason why filter is just surprising everyone with new yet still that heavy dose of hard rock that his fans crave! You guys are just a beautifully crafted group of hard rock gents! Keep it up guys!🙋🏻🎤🎸🥁🤘🥂🎼
Like many the first I heard of Filter was when they released "Take a Picture" but then soon discovered that I loved the whole album (Title of Record). Big thumbs here for Filter.
I grew up with this song on a mix I 'Borrowed' from my big sister. I used to listen to it on repeat to the point where I wore the data down lol. To this day, I push my gas pedal juuuust a little harder when that chorus hits on an open freeway 😅🥰🖤❤️🖤
(From Brazil) Fortunately I was able to find an original soundtrack CD, second hand, some years ago. And last year I found the DVD 😁. Watched it yesterday. Both favorites in my collection. Have you seen Richard Patrick explaining the meaning of the song right here at Filter's RUclips channel? I got really surprised! Great song!
Actually saw them in concert 2010 & had the current members sign a $1 bill i had in my pocket (it was all i had for the meet & greet after the show). Last song of the night was "Hey Man, Nice Shot" and I was 6-8ft from the stage. FUCKING AMAZING. Didn't get my voice back for at least 3-4 days.
i love this album...many fun moments doing exactly whats in the vid....driving around and feeling like a bad ass with the wind in my hair and the tunes blasting.......yeah...filter.....nice....
One of the most underrated bands ever.
Indie band bruh
@@mysterious8152 lol...no...
I'd say they were very fairly rated. They got constant radio play from 98 to 2001 or so. What more do you want?
Underrated to the point of being criminal
They are not underrated..
I miss the late 90s: Predominantly black shirts, ball chain necklaces, fake leather trousers, rave parties, and of course, fine industrial metal!
Goth was still actually goth too. Not 100%, but it hadn't been poisoned by emo, and goths didn't care about politics.
What is a rave. I was moshing.
Good music is good music.....That is all
I hear you man. I’m with you. Jnco jeans forever.
How did you know I was wearing black button ups?

Best example to confirm your opinion is Spawn soundtrack from 97
Born in 1998, I missed it haha! Maybe the 2020's will be a revival of 90s music, culture, and more!
The good old days
you just wanted to fuck your older sibling lmao
@@musicandpoetry_8 everyone was pissed off and lame. it's only gotten worse but it wasn't some lovely time.
The mvp of the crow salvation soundtrack.
Over a decade since this song came out and it still looks and sounds like it could have come out today. Amazing.
Na only something this beautiful could be made 1999-2002 🧛♀️
This comments 11 years old and this songs 10 years prior to this comment...
2025, still a monster of a tune

Man listeing to this reminds me how crappy are music is these days 90 rock was pure
You see,
They don't make music like this.
Signed,
ANYMORE
Very creative comment.
Ah the 90s had bangers! Miss it so much
THAT SONG IS SINCE 1999 TILL 2000
Agreed!!!
The Crow Salvation, what I like to call "my trash" and yet it has a sick soundtrack! Filter and Danzig kicked ass on it!
Fred Ward showing up at 2:29 is a welcomed surprise. RIP Earl....
This was for The Crow Salvation soundtrack which had Fred Ward along with Kirsten Dunst, Eric Mabius along with Walton Goggins Tim DeKay who appeared in the film
I love how this song captures ever last ounce of 90's industrial/alternative glory I remember. Long live that era I had so much fun back then.
Wow!!! I left a comment 11 years ago!!!! Time flies by!!! Now I’m 44 and also speak English (I’m based in 🇨🇴) but I love this song and video really bad!! 😎
Memories of a 50 plus year old, great stuff and seriously great style and timing
Good god this is still as fresh and sick as it was back when ...
If they invented a time machine, id gladly use it re live the 1990s life i had :)
The Crow Salvation. This video is what got me to watch that movie
Miss this processed guitar 'wall of sound' tone from the nu-metal era
Ketan guess I’m not the only one...
Filter did it best
@@matronthorn.official Amalgamut's guitar tone is just massive...can't think of much that competes
Devin Townsend is a master at that kind of production, and one of my favorite musicians ever
Also those frenetic kinda distorted breakbeat drum loops......you just don't hear that anymore. :(
THIS SONG.... one of their very best. Takes me back to the time of MTV, music videos, The Crow etc. This still sounds fresh!
I Love RiChArD PaTrIcK,
Title of record is one of my top 5 hard rock records ever .
Chris.S One of the best pits of my life- sick concerts
Aaaand - I also love the Music of Trent Reznor (NIN) very much. They both were Band Member.
Richard Patrik! U are my Christmas tree for this year as well as my gift to me!
This song would hit today it was ahead of its time
Insane groove.
I’m listening to this while my 6 year old wanders into the room and starts going crazy jumping on the bed. How you know your kid has taste 😃
My kids current favorite is powerman 5000's cover of electric avenue :D
What was once cool is now dad/mom rock. As is tradition.
@@JollyGoblin666 it happens to the best of us

Messed up in a car hearing this for the first time.. at the end of the song.. I thought the tape was being eaten up or I was melting :p
That look at 3:31 , is why guys want to become Rock Stars.
Lol yeah
Music these days doesn’t compare to this. This is real music!!
2023 and this still song still goes.....
I just found these guys! And wow the quality of music back then! They were way ahead of their times!
They should have been huge...
They are currently on tour. You should check them out.
Я помню в 2006м еще слушала, до сих пор❤
One of my favorite Filter songs. I love it.

What A song!!! Most underrated band of the 90’s
Hot chicks, wicked cars. Great tunes. What else could you ask for?
That was also the 60's
The 90s quite fittingly were the 60s turned on its head. Sadly the 20s are nothing like those decades.
A lot more money
Every time I show someone new this song they are blown away they've never heard it before. I love Filter!!
Peak 90s right here. I always loved the guitar and desert dust devils :)
Absolutely everything about this song is badass!
The Ending so fucking badass!! Early 2000's are taken for granted
What a voice!!
Iconic
This is so great. I totally missed the Fred Ward cameo. It might be worth doing an updated version of this song.
RIP Fred Ward @2:30
legit
Fk yeah! When kids knew how to party and enjoy the moment!
One of the best, by one of the best 🤘🏼
2:42 Fred Ward in heaven. 1942 - 2022
This should be the theme tune of the Pirate Bay.
Robot Lover hey, if Porn Hub can get Coolio, Filter shouldn’t be too difficult 😜
Great song along with a video filled with Classic American cars such as a 69 Dodge Charger , 67 Oldsmobile Cutlass , 73 Dodge Charger and a 73 Dodge Dart Sport . Sweet !!!!
I forgot how much I love this song.
This was our theme song at work today. I work in surgery and I Blasted this song. This goes Hard. I Love Filter❤🍷
I can't believe I missed out on this group for 2 decades...
I hear ya. I just started over the last year or so listening to them, never gave them much thought in the 90s.
Better late than never!
This is so beautiful like wow! Filter was king of having unsung classics.
This happens to be one of my favorite Filter tracks, it tends to really get one all reved up, that energy boost kick you bet.
Filter is one of my fav bands, Richard Patrick is so awesome!!
Killer song 🤘🤘🤘 takes me back to 1999!
Electric guitar at 02:05 it's so Killing Joke ❤ what a banger song !!
I would just wish to go back to these days, so much fun, so many memories..
Best industrial!
Such talent his vices took a toll of his career. It's not to late to make it better.
Filter: one great metal band😁
Hidden gem of a song
The Crow 3, baby! Sick movie and so is this song!! :D
'91-'99 best time of my life so far nothing can beat that time period ever. Shit I'd dump my gf if the music could at least come back.
Filtler, Filter was awesome.
90s rule 🤘🤘🤘🤘 f 2022
I remember watching this music video on MTV when it first came out in the late 90s/early 2000s
Still got this on repeat in 2022!
I love how back then they actually invested in music videos and they felt like a journey.
One of the best end credit songs of all time!🤘💀🤘
Was it on a movie? I can’t recall where I heared the song recently but I know it’s definitely not youtube!

Saw Filter in Sydney Australia and they played this. God damn was it turned up to to a billion decibels! So great.
You’re lucky! Wish I was there

Fortunately I was able to find an original soundtrack CD, second hand, some years ago. And last year I found the DVD 😁.

Have you seen Richard Patrick explaining the meaning of the song right here at Filter's RUclips channel? I got really surprised!
Great song!
I remember when the press were calling Filter "new metal". Love this song!
you sure it’s not “nu-metal” lol
Kirsten Dunst does a phenomenal job at 2:36!
I heard this on SiriusXM Turbo while I was going 90mph on the interstate! Perfect driving music
MAN FILTER ARE SOOOOOO ON POINT!!!!!!! THIS BAND NEVER DATES!!!!!

Surprised these guys didn't get far more attention then they did. The band sounds really great.
I miss this type of real feel rock music. #Filter #comebackgoodmusic
Terminator's little brother, the man the legend Richard Patrick turns 55 today and is still rocking on a serious concert tour this year 2023!
One of the more underrated grunge era bands from the 90’s
Thanks, Fred Ward...RIP

Dear Filter,
This was easy to like 👍 I’ll play- wait, I already am 😂😎👍
I love how menacing the chorus guitar riff is.
Exactly! Cool riff it has a lot of tension
I MISS THE WEST.... LSD... COOL PEOPLE.... FUN TIMES....BANDS LIKE FILTER REMINDS ME OF THIS
When the cops from' the crow:salvation ' shown up acting all cool at Filter's live concert ;That was hilarious! 😂 lol
this became one of my favorite bands of the 90s and this is one of the most underrated in my opinion.
