One interesting thing about this album it's that everyone has a different top5 favorite songs. Like completely different. Which makes me think that Eminem achieved what he was looking for. To give something to everyone.
None I guess really likes little engine and farewell though but there are 15/17 songs that I do play a lot and seems that people enjoy.

hard agree. he balances the different sides of Eminem. he has the emotional recover like songs. the shady like mean Eminem songs. the funny ones and a couple in between. the beat selection I think will make this album stand the test of time
Damn, I actually really like Little Engine (the instrumental is some beautiful horrocore shit) and Farewell as well, it's got an unexpected sample. The only track I don't fuck with is Ed Sheeran's.
I like this review. For real. One advice though: This album gets addictive the more you play it. I felt the same way as you guys, but I kept playing it and by the 4th or 5th full listen I was: This is prime Em. Like his 3rd or 4th best album.

GFX MOD same for me, I was disappointed in it at first went it dropped at 2am then by the 3rd listen through I didn’t hate a single song and a lot of the songs sound like em having fun again. It’s better and better the more you listen. I will sound like it came straight from MMLP tho take criminal out and put that song and it’d fit right in

I think the album is really solid. I'll take Kamikaze and MTBMB over encore, relapse, recovery, or revival any day honestly. Not the biggest classic he has done but it's definitely one of his better albums.

My opinion:
This is his best work since MMLP2. I agree that it lacked a central theme, but I think that possibly made it better. When album's tend to have a certain style throughout, a lot end up being displeased. With 17 songs, I think that there was something for everyone on the project. Lyrical onslaughts, highly conceptual songs, new age beats and features, and upbeat and fun songs. I also think that Eminem's own hooks were pretty good on this album. As it stands, this album is one of my favorites from Slim.
Crooks pen is the best in slaughterhouse but royce makes the best solo music but for some reason joell still my favorite

Marsh was the first song I fav'd off the album despite loving so many more. Particularly Lock it up because of the vibe. Ed Sheeran joint is getting a lot of replay because I find it so fun and laidback. Darkness had the message that hits home, Yah Yah, I will, You gon learn got that flex session going on and straight bars. Godzilla was the showing off. Ugh there's a lot of good shit man I fuck with all the different bits of Em I like that get some shine here. Don't think its meant to be a full package for every fan but that's the beauty of it.

He still needs to prove himself because people don’t give him credit for the work he’s done. Not everyone has to like what they hear, but some of y’all reasons for not liking Em is just laziness on your part. The fact that people are now creating one verse songs and no one is getting upset means you have nothing to say, but they are getting better reviews then Em and that’s crazy to me.
Knock it off. Eminem actually gets TOO MUCH credit considering all of the terrible music he's put out over the years. His sensitive, cornball fan base believes that he's 'above' criticism so they manufacture these fake 'hate' narratives regarding Em. It's dispicable and it's largely coming from 'non hip hop' fans. There are less 'skillful' artists that simply make BETTER MUSIC than Eminem and that is why the criticism on them is more favorable. Em's fans don't know or care about Eminem creating timeless bodies of work! They're too concerned with 'bars' that often lead to absolutely nothing substantial. The criticism on Eminem is over your head.

I don't know why there're a lot dislikes because of thier opinion. I respect that. I know it's not for everyone (still like Eminem). There are a lot more meanings in verses than it already had (watch Reggie breakdown). I think these types of people who disliked it are heavy technical/multi-syllable Hip-Hop fans.
