I am from Lviv, the very region, where this town Yavoriv is. I love Hutsul folk art. I know that Ukraine will prevail, win, and become the most stylish, contemporary European country. Ukrainians are so brave and truly patriotic, that no doubts the truth'll prevail.
It's a beautiful time honored trade that should never be lost or forgotten. One of my favorite past times is carding, combing, spinning and weaving wool.
I spin wool and weave as a hobby so it is amazing to see these traditional arts being preserved. Ukraine has such a beautiful country. Much love from England UK. I wish for a swift victory for the people of Ukraine 🇺🇦.
This was so super cool! A hutsul sent me the link to this video. Weird, the jacket is traditional but it could come straight from Paris Fashion Week! :)
We need to fight and win this war to save our beautiful culture that the enemy is so desperate to destroy for no other reason than to fuel their ugly egos. Слава Україна 🇺🇦🕊
I have learned much about Ukrainian history, culture, material culture . But the aspect I like /love best is the sweetness and home loving family qualities. I can't think of the right word. The best thing is that your culture is not European, So is what I see Slavic? It is very charming and lovable. Please don't become European. Be yourselves. Your country and people are great.
They look like Slavic speaking Romanians. Their striking similarity to Romanians is obvious; clothes, music, crafts, everything. Especially Moldavians. I do not know when they started to speak Slavic but these people with their clothes, music and crafts are definitely not of old Slavic origin. They are old "Voloshi", old proto-Romanians. They still keep some special words in their Slavic from old Voloshian language which only a Romanian can understand. Anyways I hope Ukraine win the war with orcs.
Ukrainian here: what do you mean by Hutsuls not having Slavic origin? You’re correct in the idea that Hutsuls have lots of ethnic Romanian/Moldovan admixture. But the claim of “not being slavic” at all isn’t very well researched or true :/
A people stops to exist when they forget their history and don't practice their tradition (heritage) , Well they practice still their tradition, some evolved in their way, but not saying that it s a heritage from such an old and beautiful history /civilization of Daci, and they were in an area that always was consider part of Romanian brothers , linked exactly by the folkloric , tradition, language, beliefs, all that common heritage with dacian roots, and also a very long history ( thousands of years of being part of it). As we see today, influences change everyday , we cook and eat dishes from china or japan, italy food, clothing etc.. , dose it mean we are not same nationality or that our past history or roots of our tradition are others?

I was so confused by the spinning of the singles at first. Then I realized they full the yarn before weaving it for integrity. Gorgeous work !

@@ClaudiaK-g6z I think you are, two subgroups of the same people. God bless you.
Romanians in Romania 🇷🇴 were colonized by the Latin people from Italy 🇮🇹. In Moldova 🇲🇩 slavic,, assimilated with Russians. We re mixed.
@@ClaudiaK-g6z Moldavians are also Romanians, indeed slightly mixed with Slavic, but still Romanians, whether you like it or not.
