Thanks. I was looking on YT for exactly how to change discs and pads on a Ford C-max. Your the only person out there I found. Really helpful.

Just a quick note I found on your video.
I noticed, when you finished installing the brakes, you had loosened your coolant cap and recorded yourself tightening the cap again? From other tutorials I cross reference with, it's the "brake fluid reservoir" (further back towards the windscreen, under the Cowl shelving by the wiper arm) that you release before retracting the piston. This allows fluid to draw back into the reservoir and air in the reservoir to escape. Reason for my checking out your video is I'm about to do all front and rear brakes and I was looking for where to put copper grease. I believe it's where the piston and caliper touches the brake pads, (metal to metal points).
However, using your video compared to Ford Focus Videos, I have found what I need to complete the front. Gonna check out the rear brake video now. Cheers. Good Job!!!

Funny story with the coolant… I tried to wind the pistons back with no caps removed and they wouldn’t budge… I loosened that, thinking it was the brake reservoir and the pistons moved. I still maintain to this day that somehow, it helped 😂
Thanks for watching. Glad it’s been helpful!

Also a good practice would to take the cap off the master cylinder when winding the caliper back

Funny story in that one. I actually thought I had took the cap off the master cylinder... turns out I took the cap off the coolant! 🙈 somehow made it easier to push the caliper back though! I’ve learnt since this video, shame I’m now back to work and the videos are hard to come by now.

@@spallsy87 if it worked, it worked buddy hahahahaha. Good on ya. I have a set of pads to do for the front of a cmax tomorrow and just wanted to make sure there were no sneaky tools needed. All seems spot on from your video. Cheers for that matey.

@@deanoscott yeah, the only things I had to buy were the piston tool and a 7mm Alan key. Easy enough job to do.
