So sorry for the late reply, the developer aids the bleaching process by bleaching the hair faster. There are different volumes of developers eg 10,20,30 and 40 volume developer. I used 40 volume developer in this particular video.

So sorry for the late reply, but you do still need to bleach the hair. The bleach helps to get rid of the red colour from the hair
