@@matthew2076 he’s actually right. I saw this set on the E last month. This was one of two sets that was assigned recently in the shuffle. Nowadays, though I think they shuffle between the A, C, E, F and R trains. I don’t know when we’re gonna see the R179 R train, but I think it will happen at some point down the line because they’re gonna run them at both Pitkin and Jamaica yards it looks like
@@matthew2076 I love the DC Metro and I might be able to go on Wednesdays now. But I’m from New York City so it’s kind of harder as you know. I love both systems. Because of the A train shutdown, your wish is gonna come true and I’ll be able to come back to Washington again while the shutdown is in effect.
@@matthew2076 and once the shutdown is over, I’m gonna try and mix all three of them up together, but I’ll probably be based in the New York City subway like typical but I’m also gonna start doing spotting uploads eventually because I figured out how to edit it. I still think the NYC subway is my favorite system though.
@@matthew2076 so I’ve got another update. The November uploads should actually go by rather quickly because they should be rather easy to edit. With the 6 train uploads coming in the November uploads plus a midday 5 train round-trip it should be rather quick. Once I get to that I will be very close to the January uploads where I do the blue and silver lines. I’m still working out the next time I go to Washington, but I’m thinking it could be in a week or two maybe. With driving lessons coming to play it’s made it a little bit tougher. But it will happen soon probably. And I’m thinking for my next round trip, I go for the red line maybe on any combo. Maybe see if the 6K series or the 3K series runs on the blue or silver lines

@@matthew2076 as of February 2025, half of the five car sets of R179s have been assigned to the E and F and half have been assigned to the A.
i honestly prefer your dc metro video way over your nyc subway videos.
I want to be able to mix all 3 systems up together overtime.
but the video is not horrible i just prefer the old dc metro videos
