nice to see my hero Matt Hicks again. Also glad to see such a great bloke and outstanding pilot has a senior role within QANTAS.

'Captain' Hicks :O ... He has come along since we last heard from him as part of QF32. Gad to see he is still a part of the QF family. Did have to have a chuckle at "And in those simulators we train for all sorts of events which you probably never see in your career"... UNLESS you are Captains Hicks and de Crespigny of course. Lets face it QF, we can all be honest here, you have dropped the ball a bit lately and suffered a few high profile fau paux (baggage handler shotput for one). BUT, there is nothing better than after a long business trip or holiday to see the tail of the flying kangaroo at the airport ready to take you home (and if you have transitted and eaten the food in LAX you know what I mean)! Keep at it, and as passenger numbers can atest... the vast majority of Australians continue to trust and fly with Qantas, I know I do!

I am a former Qantas apprentice, AME and LAME. Qantas engineering second to none.
I left many years ago. I joined frequent flyer and began accumulating points.
Flying business class to Perth again next month. I have no complaints about QANTAS.

Been flying for 14 yrs and am a frequent flyer. I have a choice through work what airline I fly and it’s always Qantas. It’s the frontline staff, maintainers, pilots and organisation that is the reason for my choosing Qantas. Keep up the awesome work🙌

RE Aircraft maintenance: both in Alan’s message and the Executive Manager of Engineering state that “most” of this is conducted in Australia. Can you please quantify this as most could be anywhere from 51% to 99%? Could the maintenance that is done overseas be performed in Australia?

2 days ago I squared up to my responsibility as an Aussie dad to book tickets for mum, no2 son and myself to attend our first born's wedding in Seattle this August. As my absolute, over riding desire was to buy safety my first port of call was naturally the Qantas website. Without any of the nightmare that is shopping online with the aggregator sites I managed to score 3 very keenly priced returns to Vancouver (it's close enough AND we don't have to go through LAX) operated with Qantas aircraft there and back. I couldn't believe my luck !
24 hours later and the Joyce led pitch for new business rolls out but I want the Qantas workers to know my buying decision was based on them and their standards of safety & service.

Awesome. Joyce is but one person surrounded by sycophants which all move on.
The people that love Qantas work there because of love for the company.
      Thank you

Qantas most valuable asset are the pilots, cabin crew, engineers, ground staff and customer facing staff. Not the senior executives that line their pockets with exorbitant bonuses at the expense of customers, staff and the tax payers.

Great video, now how about promoting the younger attendants that fly regional aircraft, the older attendants are so rude and think of nobody but themselves or there gripes about qantas which I don't want to hear the younger ones really make your flight better time for a change for the better

Great Video and agree safety is 1st priority as it would not fly without it, A simple radio call is what you need instead of a feedback for improvement, as it is in needed in The moment..... Not later, save alot of time lost...... Just my opinion 🤷‍♂

How to tell your customers you’re messing up without telling your customers you’re messing up. Making a video like this shows they’re chasing their tail.

I feel extremely bad that the Qantas PR team felt it necessary to make a video like this. It's purely the result of our garbage media blowing minor, daily failures out of proportion to really damage a reputable and safe airline. Qantas may not be the cheapest or most efficient airline.. but there's a reason I'll choose them everytime.

It’s unfortunate that this has to be made.
AJ has dropped the ball massively in getting Qantas back to speed. They are way behind where it needs to be.

Most of our company has now moved to virgin. The frequent flyer program for Qantas has progressively no worse. We gave up and took virgins offer to match our status. We lost to much to Qantas.
