Originally, I had thought that the only double-sided carriers the US had were escort carriers, but it couldn't have been since all USN escort carriers had very tiny islands (the bridge) that were positioned closer to the bow. After a little digging I found what we're looking at; the USS Ranger (CV-4). Apparently it was the only carrier of it's class, and the design was never used again, however the ship itself was in commission until '46.
solidsnake2234 Ahh thank you, and yeah the Ranger was an attempt to fit the airgroup of a Yorktown class ship on a lighter smaller hull so they sacrificed armament and internal protection to fit it.
Wasn't someone bitching a few videos back about how you can't dodge torpedoes in larger ships? That AC must be hax.... or the person bitching is a newb.
That carrier player must be sweating up a storm
This is (not) the end.
Torpedoes are (not) OP.
This comment is (not) funny.
