"i want to reach you, the real you, the real me" i love the way he wrote that, especially after the "my ideals and reality, so very far", it paints a certain picture as if his reality (the "me") saw his ideal self (the "you") as someone completely different from what he is rn and couldn't recognize it at first but he knew that he wanted to reach his real ideal self (the "real you"), but as he tried to figure out who that "real you" was, he quickly realized it was his own realest self, the one that's living and breathing rn, the "real me". ugh namjoon is so genius, he's definitely the best lyricist I've ever known of.

Mono, and this sing in particular, gave me so much comfort when I was lying for the first time in my life on a hospital bed after surgery a few days back. Mono is like wearing a comfort sweater, or getting a warm and cozy hug. I never get tired of listening to it.
I love this song so much, it is my favourite off mono but the whole album was a life saver. A little after mono was released, my Dad who had been emotionally and psychologically abusive my entire life (23years) finally escalated to physical abuse and attacked me. After I was in a dark place and I curled up in the darkness of my own mind and tried to hold myself together as my world came crashing down around me. Mono just came and sat with me in the dark. It didn't force anything on me, didn't make me more depressed and didn't try to make me happy. Instead it gave me peace.
Uhgood is one of my favorite songs. I love listening to it while lying on a bench in my little local forest, watching the trees and the birds. The picture you chose reminded me of that and I think it fits the vibe of the song perfectly. Thanks for putting a smile on my face 💜
