Did you know getting a ton of befriended pig a sleep during night, pushing them together then standing near them can grant a big sanity boost?
Instructions unclear , ended up with an army of pigs fighting me as Wortox , but since im playing a more powerful version of Wortox I killed all the pigs

Sad that you didn't talk about the Pudgy Beefalo. If you need a good sanity aura at base then one of these will solve all of your problem. And you can even take it to work with you.

I wanna add to the bee queen crown tho it converts negative sanity into positive at half the rate. Thats why if u look careful at nightmare lights droping beard sanity it is way faster than when he regains it. Still it is a really good item to restore sanity

Honestly I usually play Wigfrid, so sanity is never an issue. Even if it does happen, just leaving a top hat on for a day tends to fix the problem completely!
I also think Webber gains sanity upon befriending spiders, which might be true for most Allie’s too, however Sisturn is really good, by adding 4 petals it gives enough sanity for gains over night, while being usable with Glommer!
Maybe the siesta will be used more instead forgotten I mean its like the tent but cheaper to build and cost less hunger to use at the cost of some daylight

If your wig, jerky
To keep sanity there’s flower garland, top hat, tam o etc.
That’s what I do anyway
Plus with the flower part the petals can turn into mold and good for fertilizer
If you’ve got a Tam o’ shanter and easy access to cactus flesh, sanity is never a problem. Whenever I stay at my summer base in the desert my sanity is never low enough to even see shadow creatures
Can you make an ultimate base building guide? I know you did a little bit of that in your winter video but I want to see more of it!

Considering how much honey bees produce in such a fast rate when on screen I believe that taffy is the best sanity source
I use it constantly and with 5 or more bee boxes I never run out of honey

This game is free on switch and I finally made the machine thing and i lost my mind and a walking tree killed me. I hate going on youtube to figure things out because thats the whole point of the game but im not 16 and can’t afford to just play this game all day so thanks a lot

when i watched your video on regrowth i was like "well duh" since i had seen pine cones pop into existance right infront of my eyes a bunch of times. mostly when burning down a whole forest for coal. apparently, maybe, seemingly burnt trees simultaneously count as living trees and yet don't. the pine cone spawn mechanics still apply to them as if they were living trees but when considering other burnt trees in their vicinity these other burnt trees apparently don't count as living trees since they don't hinder the pine cone spawning.

@@a.k8185 wurt cant befriend pig men anyway. wurt can befriend merm with seeds only which is very cheap and easy to find but wont give you increase in sanity. wurt decrease sanity when fish is the inventory so when making the royal tapestry i just put the fish in chester haha. and yes i had a game where i had 3 mactusk igloo killed all of them but no tam-o-shanter nor tusk for making walking cane. really sad
To be honest, I was surprised that Dried Kelp Fronds was missed... 1hp 10 sanity about 9 hungry and dries in a quarter of a day. It's quite nice honestly and has the spoil rate of jerky as well.
You want to go through the trouble of making and sailing a boat in order to get kelp then be my guest however I will choose these methods over that ANY day, even if they made sailing halfway decent! :D
@@TheBeard777 True, I wouldn't really mess with it much early game.... Though i can't say i've ever taken much time in sailing as i just made a ton of boats and jumped my way to the lunar island... sailing .... sailing is something...

I know that this guide isnt meant for people how are really experienced but i just like watching your vids and I have to say i can pretty much agree with most parts, but i still wouldnt recommend picking flowers and makeing a garland myself and that also goes with the sleeping and crafting new items, my reasonings for flowers are really complicated so i ll just give 1 exaple reason, new people easly get adicted to picking flowers meaning they get problems fast when there are no flowers around, sleeping is most of the time a waste of time but i know that a lot of people have that as a normal thing in either playstyle and i can understand it, its just not fitting to how i play and randomly crafting some items for sanity is easy turning into a waste of resources cause u make items that u dont need but for example if u got a alchemy machine to make a lantern and u arent building a base yet there is nothing wrong with prototyping a crockpot or ice box or birdcage/birdtrap cause u know u ll need it later. and i think u could have mentioned the starcallers staff at the end a bit cause that can quite help just as a sideregen
This is an information dump video moreover anything else so you are taking this a little wrong friend. Also, the starcallers staff is a late game item behind ruins diving and ancient crafting - do you really think most, common players are going to get their hands on it? I'll answer that one for ya, no! :D
You even say "how I play" a couple times in this message which is exactly the mentality that diminishes the entire purpose of guides. Everyone plays differently so you cannot hang your experiences over that of others, you have to think and produce like them.

I have no idea who or what caused so many people to be "flowerists" but oh boy have I taken the heat from them over the years... Screw 'em, they don't even know how flowers work 9/10 times.

every time i wear this flower hat, it only affects me for 1 day, and then they stop giving me sanity
They degrade and you have to make new ones every couple days

Some of them, yes. Most certainly not all though. Things like the Bee Queen helmet, Hutch and celestial fissures are not in solo DS.

Use magic. Make farms. Do a challenge were you die and get reserected until you are a 1 shot kill and try to last a year.
