Laura is an absolute star! I'm an ADI over here in Ireland. I've never heard the affects of dyslexia described as brilliantly as Laura has done here. Thank you for this video.
I have found this so useful because i am severely dyslexic and have the exact same issues but haven't told my driving instructor. This has made me wanna tell him now and hopeful get a better experience when trying to drive. Thank u.
Am I alone in thinking that having to look at a screen whilst driving is not the safest thing anyway? I listen to the directions and don’t look at the screen, so I can keep my eyes on the actual driving. Never mind the safety aspect of looking at a screen, I can’t look at a screen and hear the directions without getting completely confused, because my mind is preoccupied with making sure the audio and visual are in agreement
Thank you for this fantastic video! I have driving lessons booked in and I told my instructor I'm dyslexic and I explained to him the common issues with it and he said okay I can be patient with you and I am very calm. I want him to tailor the lessons to adapt to my needs and requirements and I written a list of techniques and learning styles i want my instructor to be with me like multi sensory learning visually and tactile touch and post it notes and diagrams and usinf highlighters and to give me a brief summary written down of each lesson of what i have learned and need requirement. Hopefully it all goes well.
I have anixiety problem my heart beat get fast with examinar and also ihave carpertunel and knee pain i do for to set mirror after the reverse parking or putting in gear so i fail only for these reason
This was very helpful and listening to Laura's story was very similar to what I'm experiencing at the moment , thank you for sharing this !
Thank you this has really helped me, these issues are letting my driving down at the minute. I wasn't aware this effected me like this

Thank you, what an excellent example of client-centred learning. This video is equally useful for learners, parents, ADIS/PDIs and examiners.
THANKS! I had a bunch of the same experiences. I wasn't diagnosed until 21.
Honesty i can relate to her so much, and also your instructor is such a nice person
Thanks for this
