Lovely map, but totally agree that without the hedges is not a good look, very barren, but I don't have the time to cut what I want to cut either. Wish there was an option to just remove collisions on hedges. Well done to the author, nicely done map! Nice review as well!
I think the ability to remove all the hedges or just on a field you own is a great idea, i wish more would do something like that. It would help me love playing on these types of maps. Glad i am not the only one who leans his head to look around the corner
Nice map tour of a nice looking map. I really like it even though the farms look a little over crowded (for my taste) with buildings being so close together . I wish they would have given this map a more Scottish feel not a American and South American feel . I think someone needs to create homes and animal pens that look like you are in Scotland . I did enjoy the tour you gave us. 😊
I've had this for a day or so, and agree wholeheartedly. There are some good points, for example, the weather is just ridiculously good. The farms can be thinned out, as can the dratted hedges. The hedged lanes are very Kingdom of Fife as I remember them, and the fields feel right. The wooded areas seem to be crowded, too, and there's no open hills for grazing sheep and mowing for hay. The traffic is a problem, because all the roads are narrow, and keyboard controls are imprecise. Orchards are a Thing I remember, too. Deer in the area are almost invisible, and I'd like to be able to switch them off. I'm such a Gloomy Gus!!!
I’m often intimidated by the odd shaped fields and hedges on UK maps, but this is really cool. Might just put on some Monarch of the Glen reruns and give this a try!
As much as I think Cavalier Roy had done his usual great job (especially with the rolling terrain and field sizes), the omniprescent AMERICAN HOUSING on this Scottish map is incredibly immersion breaking. I lay the blame squarely at GIANTS door for never having given us a British map in the vanilla game. Combine that with their prejudice against British equipment preferences (e.g. square baling) and I have to suggest GIANTS have not forgiven us for two world wars and a world cup 😉😆 . Seriously though, we need to pressure GIANTS for a vanilla game British map so that map modders have an asset library to draw from instead of having to perform OxygenDavid style megaprojecting to get authentic looking British buildings and landscapes.
I genuinely think Giants don’t back themselves to make a good enough British map, especially after the likes of Oxy setting such a high standard for British maps
@@TimmyTheSnail They could easily subcontract / commission British maps from Oxy / Roy / GB Modding / MJ etc. That would allow them to focus on adding features to the core game (more animals, crops, field mechanics, terrain deformation, better workers' AI, etc.).
Great map tour mr P this is a great map to play on and I really liked the undulating landscape and I don’t normally like that but keep up with the great work as always 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very reminiscent of Maypole Farms in look, and feel. I love Maypole. Have almost 1000 hours on my PS4 version. I will give this one a try, but so many very good new maps! hard to pick one and go with it like I did with Maypole.
Roy makes some crackin’ maps. If only the buildings were more suited the the area. All the houses are American style. One of those things that once you notice, it kinda bugs ya.
Imagine having all the farms full with animals. The entire map can't feed them, even if you plant between the trees in the forest 🤣🤣🤣. But aside that, yeah, it's a great map, the cuttable hedges reminded me of Mercury Farms in FS 17 where I chopped a lot of fences.
Do you think they ever implement a option in game to download all content to last saved map. Have two consoles is a bumper to re download all content to each console if you bee playing mainly on one and need to move to other at some point ?
Already made a start on this. Quite enjoying it after a few hours. Already have a few hedges which I will remove and maybe add some fences to keep AI helpers in check!

@@daniellawrie9358 yeah that’ll be a console limitation sadly. It doesn’t have the required hardware to properly power the map. Getting a newer Xbox would solve the problem but sadly that’s easier said than done

The Meadow Fence Pack by Cayman has a pretty good one, not perfect.

A byproduct of the map being simpler is that any customizing of the landscape feels really natural

You have to put mineral feed in where the silo is on the side of the barn.

I do enjoy Roy's maps. Must have hundreds of hours logged across Maypole and Riverview, and this looks like a great addition to his catalogue.

Tried to cut the lamp posts and it wouldn’t allow it
You have to buy the land first before you can cut the light, also the light to remove all street lights is the one behind the dealership
