I had already repaired mine. I used thermal conducting double sided tape. There is a lot on the roll and it wasn't expensive. I also bought a new peltier at the same time as they weren't expensive. I'd read they deteriorate over time, so that's why I put a new one on the fan.
I knew this video is old. But I bought one used it on. My Mr. Buddy worked fine. I put it on a bottle top heater. Seem to be working fine when I looked back the fans weren’t working. I couldn’t touch it I thought maybe the wires were burnt nope, it was just really hot. The plastic spacers between the thermal pad was melting. So I’m wondering if I match the spacers or still can use them and if I get new thermal paste will it start working again or should I just get rid of it?
@@MrShopNS yes that worked, but I looked like it slowed up a bi. Is it the the hotter the stove the faster it spins. ? My stove right now is running about 150° and it doesn't seem like it's spinning all that fast, thank you for your making the video, and your time, for getting back to me
yes the hotter it gets the faster it spins. make sure you have it on a flat surface so the heat from the stove surface convects into the body of the fan@@nickpanhead7209
Thanks just ordered electrical cleaner spray and thermal paste. Fan is in bits, your video inspired me to have a crack at repairs! Thanks
Best of luck 👍

I would try the thermal paste and you may also be able to buy new spacers. I wouldn't throw it out
