      Thank you! Go to Pigglys by the Garden Pavillion and get their 7.70 Value Menu item. It's a roast beef or pulled pork slider, fries, and a drink. It's really good and filling for what you pay for. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy your day at the Fair! 😀

    Wish you expanded on the value book a bit more

    • @wickedjourney
      @wickedjourney  2 года назад +3

      My apologies on that. It's mostly filled with certain percentage off on merchandise at the exhibition buildings. For food, it's mostly buy a food item, get a free small drink. Or buy 3 food items and get the fourth item at 25% off. The only worth while item was the return fair ticket on the back cover, but you can only use it during the weekday. I was going to utilize the coupon this past Friday but nothing compared to the $7.70 Value Menu for food. If you plan on returning to the fair on either Thursday, Friday, or Memorial Day, then $5.00 for the coupon book is worth getting for an inexpensive return to the fair. Hope this helps.

    This is a lot of great information!! I have never been to the LA County Fair, but I used to go to the OC Fair each year. Thanks for doing this video. I look forward to seeing some of your food reviews from there!!

      This will be my first time filming there at the actual fairgrounds. The Bite Sized Fair was small enough to do some quick shots. This one will be huge. I usually don't go into the carnival area or the games but I will this time. I usually go to the buildings to look at all of the merchandise there and them leave. I will be actually headed to the food booths and walk through the carnival area just to have the feel of the fair. I'm excited to go! Thank you for your support, Sheri and watching my crazy food videos! Haha! 😀

      Glad the video helped. I suggest going to Janice Yamanaka's channel as she has reviewed some of the food items there, even from the 7.70 value menu. The root beer float is huge and the bbq slider looked good as well. She also got the birra tacos and it looks like you get a lot for $12. Enjoy the Fair and take your time with it. It's a very large fair and lots of walking. Thank you for watching! 😀

    I have a question about what bundle you think would be better for rides. I was planning on getting the $40 RSC carnival package at the superior grocery store but then I read that it only includes 12 rides which I don’t think there are only 12 rides in the whole fair but that’s my option one. I saw in your video that we can get a wristband for $50 that works for all the rides but the only catch is that you can’t ride anymore rides after 7pm (on weekends) which I think sucks because I prefer riding rides at night. Do based off this what do u think would be better for me to get? I’m planning on going this Sunday the 29th :)

    • @wickedjourney
      @wickedjourney  2 года назад +3

      Hi Barbara. Great question. There really is no good answer that I can give you. The $40 RSC carnival package from Superior Grocery sounds like a better deal but which rides of the 12 are they giving you? Each ride takes a different amount of tickets ranging from 2 to 6 tickets for each ride and per person. Or it could just deduct one ride no matter how many tickets it costs to ride: eg 5 tickets = 1 ride or 3 tickets = 1 ride, not sure. I usually say the wristband would be better but the cut off at 7pm is ridiculous in my opinion! Here is a URL to the RSC website: rcsfun.com/now/#acc-yba7391-1 Look under "What Does It Cost" and they have the individual rides with how many tickets it would take to ride each ride. I would start there. I know it says Pima County but it will give you an idea of the cost. I have a feeling that the $40 RSC Carnival Package will only allow you to ride certain rides which may not reflect the ride you WANT to ride. Then again, when you purchase the rides tickets at the fair, it's a bar code that they scan from a printed slip that they issue. It's similar to a reloadable Starbuck gift card but this deducts the amount of tickets purchased per what the ride states it cost: eg a particular ride could be 5 tickets and that would be deducted. It may be worth a trip to Superior Grocers to find out since you can also purchase Admission tickets for 47% off anyway. I hope this helps! What ever you choose, have a great day at the fair! Sorry for the long explanation, I just don't want advise you incorrectly. 😀

      @@wickedjourney thank you so much for the advice yea I also hate that the cut off for rides is at 7 for the wristband :( this did help I appreciated he explanation 💗. Also do you think it’s worth it for me to get the passport savings book even if I’m going to the fair for one day?

    • @wickedjourney
      @wickedjourney  2 года назад +3

      @@barbarabispango5582 The Passport To Savings is not worth it. It has mostly buy a food item and get a free drink or free fry. Unless you plan on returning to the fair on Memorial day, then yes. You would get an admission ticket for $5. Have fun at the fair Barbara and make sure you get that 32oz Root Beer Float at Mac Phersons for $7.70. They are in building 9.

    Why the No Cash. I don't want to use cards at a fair. I am seeing this no cash thing a bit more.
    I'll not do the no cash. After many years of going it looks like this no cash will be a deal breaker for me.

    • @wickedjourney
      @wickedjourney  Год назад +2

      The LA County Fair is doing the No Cash for entry and parking. The vendors inside are still taking cash. So for the 2023 fair some vendors were cashless and they had signs showing that. Parking you can prepay online and fair entry you can go to either Superior grocers or O'Rilleys Auto parts for the entry tickets. I think those you can pay cash for. Knott's Berry Farm is completely cashless, but they have machines that you can put your cash in and you will get a loaded credit card with what ever amount that you put in the machine. It's not perfect but it seems to work. I think eventually everything is going cashless. I wish you luck @MXP90DL and I hope you had a great weekend!

    Hi there! Where was the better place to park? TIA

    • @wickedjourney
      @wickedjourney  2 года назад +2

      I like parking at the Blue Gate off of White Ave only because I like walking through the tunnel into the heart of the fair. Parking wise, I would park at the Yellow Gate off of McKinley which is the main parking only because the parking spaces seem a little wider and it's easier to find your car. In other words, I would park my car again at the Yellow Gate. That would be my preference. Hope this helps and have fun at the fair!

    Are you supposed to scan the adult ticket if you bought the carnival package? Because they gave me one adult and one child pass but I bought the adult and carnival pass

    • @wickedjourney
      @wickedjourney  2 года назад +2

      Sounds like you might have accidentally bought an adult and child admission pass for entry into the fair. As far as I know, you may not have purchased a carnival pass. You may have to purchase a carnival pass at the fair as they are the same price whether you purchase online or at the fair. Hope this helps and makes sense.

    Thank you for the information. I bought the ticket bundle from Costco and was wondering if the weekday ticket will work.

    • @wickedjourney
      @wickedjourney  2 года назад +2

      Not exactly sure what you are asking about the "weekday ticket". I'm assuming when the ticket says "weekday" that it is only good for Thursday, Friday, or Monday (Memorial day). The "weekday ticket" may not work for Saturday or Sunday which would be described as the "weekend". The Super Saver Coupon book has a free admission ticket back to the fair that is only good for the "weekday" as described above. I hope this helps and have a fun day at the fair! 😀

      @@XoMum The weekday admission ticket from your passport will only work on Thursday, Friday, or Memorial day. It will not work on the weekends. I had the Passport to Savings coupon book and was able to use the weekday ticket to enter the fair. You have to scan the bar code as you enter. Recommend purchasing parking online the day before you go to save $5. Also, go to Pigglys by the garden center building and get their $7.70 value menu item. It's really good and filling. Hope this helps! Thank you.

    How does the 16 fun pass tickets goes how many rides do they get on ?

    • @wickedjourney
      @wickedjourney  2 года назад +2

      That depends on the ride. Some rides require 5 to 6 tickets per person. Some may require 4. I'd say if you just want to go on 2 to 3 rides, then the 16 ticket option would be good. Each ride should have a sign that states how many tickets are needed to ride. Might be wise to walk to the rides you want to ride and see which package works for you. The price of the tickets are the same whether you purchase online or at the fair. Hope this helps. 😀

    Nice informative video. What day are you planning on going? I'll be there on Thursday, probably from 11am. I have a season pass so I can go most days. So far, the only new items I've heard of are the cherry kool-aid chicken sandwich at Chicken Charlie's and a Flamin' Hot Cheetos float, probably at Biggy's. I'm sure there are other items, but nobody else has announced yet. I'll most likely do some of the more interesting $7.77 items. Instagram me if you're at the Fair and I'll let you know if I'm there.

      Sounds like you might have bought an adult and child admission into the fair. The carnival passes do not specify adult or child, just the amount of tickets you get for a certain amount. Not sure if this can be corrected at guest service inside the fair. Hope you can get this corrected.
