he never fought shogun, josh or dan henderson in pride and when he faced dan he got tkod, plus he has 5 losses one of those i would agree it wasn't a loss but the guy has lost some important fights he's way over his prime and should retire

Everyone is talking about how strong Denis is, and it's well deserved! He's a beast and could go for years unbeaten if he wants to. However, we have to mention also how good a sport Larratt was, the way he admitted his own weakness in the wrist, and gave Denis the big congrats. Devon is truly a CLASS act! Very impressive. I'm sure Devon will be back soon, and stronger than ever. He just underestimated the strength of Denis here, and Denis was training super hard for that big hit from Andrey, which is very unfortunate the events that happened there. RIP Andrey.

Bagent might get a round or two based on his explosive speed but I doubt it. A better fight would be denis vs Chaffee right handed. I like both of them so it’ll be interesting.

To be a Goat u need to smash the best from the previous generation, the best ones from your generation, and the best from the next generation. That's why Brzenk was such a candidate because he even smashed super heavyweights, him being a weight under. I get people are only interested in heavyweight. Also Tsyplenko Laratt match would have been perfect a few years ago. remember almost 10 year difference. No excuses! Brzenk was 44 when he defeated a 26 year old Cyplenko that was above his weight class.
i was hoping devon would find some angle but as he said he couldn't find anything. dennis is too strong he has big hands with a good grop and a firm wrist so any technique that devon would normally use against somebody who is bigger doesn't apply here. if devon wants to have a chance he needs to put on some weight and muscle mass and maybe... other things as well *wink wink*

Two great champions, one was clearly in better shape and better prepared for this event. But people shouldn't think that means Larratt is done or something. This will inspire him to train differently, and harder. Both guys were great sports about it; Denis isn't smack-talking or anything. He was even surprised how unprepared Devon seemed. Devon seemed timid the entire match like he never wanted to commit his shoulder. Certainly didn't have the stopping power of his 2012 form. Great sport at the end by giving him his Vendetta shirt as a trophy. Humble in his self-analysis. I guarantee he'll be back.
I think that if this is a right hand match the result would've been different it's evident in his ( Devon Larratt ) matches like John Brzenk, Andrey Pushkar and Richard Lupkes

i'm pretty new to this whole armwrestling thing, but somehow i knew devon is gonna lose. i was actually hoping that he will win, but in his latests blogs he didn't seem confident about all that. he was repeating that he is ready and in his best shape, but it was sound like he is trying to convince himself that he can do it. no spark as someone said, no his usual charisma. i don't know if this will become a new motivation for him or downfall, but either way he is a great athlete and his previous achievements didn't go nowhere. much kudos for devon, congrats denis.
